The property is beautiful and freshly remodeled inside and has all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The local coffee beans and farm fresh eggs were a nice touch! The grill and outdoor patio area were very nice and it’s a perfect spot for stargazing. A little less than 1 mile from Joshua Tree NP so very convenient location. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This is the 2nd time that my wife and I have stayed at Roadrunner's Roost. Great location, quiet and scenic, close to Joshua Tree entrance. We came out to view the meteor showers, the sky was full of stars! The whole process was handled well, Patricia is very professional. The home is clean and set up well. We will be back again!

This house was amazing. Beautiful view from f the mountains and desert valley. It was clean and cozy and the host was amazing. It is 5 minutes from the park and has wonderful views of the night sky. We will definitely be back.

This property that is 5 minutes from the north entrance to JTNP is a perfect retreat, also close to funky 29 Palms. Down a passable dirt road, with only a couple distant neighbors, the house is completely updated to contemporary comforts and demands. Beautifully decorated in neutral tones and original art, with comfortable furniture for lounging, a fully equipped kitchen, and outdoor spaces tricked out for grilling, star gazing and decompressing after a day of adventure. So very quiet, peaceful. Amazing views of the town at night. Roomy shower in the bathroom, dual sinks, lots of towels in the linen closet. Good to know - the bathroom is accessible through the primary bedroom.

Great location. So close to Joshua Tree National Park. Went for the weekend for stargazing and was not disappointed. The house was great. The area is so quiet and peaceful. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at this property for our anniversary. He is into astrophotography and it was a perfect location for that. The house was cute, cozy, and well decorated, just as the pictures show. Everything was very well done and Patricia was super attentive and wonderful to work with. Upon booking, she contacted me via text and email and sent links for the check-in process as well as everything about the property and surrounding area, which was amazing. Probably the best VRBO experience I’ve ever had. We are looking forward to coming back again.

The property is the perfect distance away from it all. But yet close enough to Joshua Tree park and any thing needed in Twentynine Palms. The house is a gem. Book an extra day as you will be truely thankful you did.

We enjoyed out stay at Roadrunner's Roost. This was our first time at Joshua Tree National Park and the location of the home was perfect. We spent the mornings in the park hiking and the afternoons at the home relaxing. It was nice to be able to plug our firestick into the TV. The best part about this home and this area was that we could see the stars every night! We had a fire in the firepit one night and spent time sitting on the deck chairs. Happily... we did not come across any critters! Patricia was very welcoming and responsive during our stay. There was a basket of pamphlets that we found useful. We enjoyed farm fresh eggs from Patricia's farm. The one suggestion I would make is to have one bundle of firewood available to the guests upon arrival. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had a great stay. Patricia was very easy to communicate with and the place was clean and perfect location to explore Joshua Tree.

Second time at this property. It is a true getaway as it’s located on a dirt road basically in the middle of the desert. Minutes from Joshua tree National park entrance. Bathroom is in the master bedroom so that can a bit of struggle if you’re with a group. I will always keep this place in mind when planning trips to Joshua tree.

The house is located between the East Visitor's Center and the park itself, which gives great access to Joshua Tree. The house is gorgeous! The kitchen has wonderful appliances and a good basic assortment of pans and cooking implements. The beds are super comfy. Just remember to bring LOTS of water. We went through 7 gallons on our 2 night stay. Of course the temperature did hit 115 on one of those days, and we stopped hiking by 10:30 am when it was already 106!

Beautiful home and convenient location 5 mins away from park entrance! My sister and I had a wonderful long weekend and we would definitely return again.

This was our second stay at Roadrunner’s Roost, and it was another escape to serenity. RR is ideally located near the park, and this time I was inspired to climb to the top of one of the peaks that is located just north of the front door. The property is so comfortable, and has incomparable views of the desert. It is impossible not to relax while you’re there. You can spread your yoga mat on the deck and exercise in the morning sun, and then hike around the Pinto Mountains and into Joshua Tree National Park. Or wait until the sun sets and the moon rises, and take a walk underneath a carpet of stars. Jeff, the owner, and Patricia, the manager, have gone out of their way to create the perfect home-away-from-home. We truly love it and look forward to our next visit.

Couldn't ask for a better spot if you're wanting to explore the park!

This is the perfect property for all of your Joshua Tree National Park adventures. It exceeded our expectations and I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Wonderful house and wonderful manager. Very close proximity to JTNP and a short drive to the USMC Twentynine Palms Base (our son is stationed there). Exactly as the description stated ... clean, modern, quiet! We have never been to California or the desert before and this experience definitely made us want to come back. Communication was clear and concise with the property owner. The property is in an amazing and secluded area. Nights are pitch black outside and you’ve got a fire pit in the back that makes sitting outside at night magical. Upon arrival stepped out the side door and watched a hawk tearing apart and eat a smaller bird before quickly flying away. I cleaned up the remains. Reminder you’re in nature’s realm now. At night also saw what looked like larger coyotes and you could hear them all around. The house is amazing, so clean, any and every necessary utensil and cookware. Not far from a stater brothers. Minutes outside of Joshua tree national park. Will be returning if and when possible. Loved every minute of our stay.

Amazing property adjecent to Joshua Tree National Park and Twenty Nine Palms. The house is spotlessly clean and comfortable. You can walk outside at night and feel lost in space looking at the stars. Explore and relax. Would love to come back.

I’ve been to a number of VRBO houses, and this is one of the best. The house was very clean and everything, including the mattress, was new. Joshua Tree NP is no more than 5 minutes driving time. There was one house nearby, but no one was there. Apart from that, the house is basically alone in the middle of the desert scrubland, as if you’re high-style camping. The only downside were the numerous coyotes who, for whatever reason, decided to howl directly under the bedroom window every night. They’re much louder than I anticipated. And yet! It was nice to be in a secure place so I could watch & listen to the wildlife. A great place!

Roadrunner’s Roost is the perfect escape; not only from a quarantine, but also from the noise and pressure of city life in general. Equal parts comfortable and tranquil; the remote location and restful vibe were the perfect antidote to pandemic craziness. Located near the entrance to the park, but on a private road away from park traffic, the 2-bedroom, 1-bath house is outfitted with everything you need in a home away from home. The house was recently renovated, with a well-equipped kitchen, and well-appointed living and dining room furniture. The bathroom is en-suite in the master, with a roomy shower. Set up on a hill, and surrounded by mountains on three sides, a favorite part of each day was the sunset desert hike, and watching the moon rise from the sun porch. Patricia, the caretaker, was extremely helpful with check-in/out and addressed all of our concerns. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who is part of one of the oldest families in 29 Palms. We are definitely looking forward to a return visit, when the pull of the desert prompts us to escape again.

The house is well-furnished and comfortable, especially with a nice porch, Sonos and TV. Everything is new and tasteful. It's deceiving when you approach, because the house is covered with unattractive siding. But inside the furnishings are attractive and brand new, including the porch and outdoor seating. There are no neighbors nearby, and it is just a few miles drive to the park entrance. The service and instructions form the rental agent were clear and timely. One thing the kitchen needs is a decent knife and new cutting boards. I highly recommend this house for anyone who wants a place with peace and quiet. Thank you.

Roadrunners Roost provided us with the isolated, desert feeling we were looking for, just outside the Joshua Tree entrance. It had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, was spotlessly clean, and comfortable. Patricia had everything ready for us and was immediately responsive. If you want to be out of town and in the desert, the Roost is ideal. About a two to three minute drive to the Joshua Tree entrance, A major grocery store (with a pretty good wine selection) is five minutes away in 29 Palms.
