Decided to go south for the winter! The scenery is dazzling in Second Valley, such a gorgeous place to be. We had a mini winter getaway of two nights and Peppers Place was a great space to house 2 adult, three teenagers. Kitchen is superbly appointed with so many utensils, cooking pans, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, foil and cling wrap and all the little extras that I usually have to add in to our packing. Bedrooms are very spacious. One hint I would advise travellers in winter is that the bedrooms get very cold (and you’ll need to bring linen) so bring proper blankets! As the kids room was linens provided I didn’t pack linen for that room but the bedding were small/thin kid size comforters and summer weight so I told my tall teen boys to sleep in their trackies and hoodies to keep warm! There is a split system in the lounge area for heating, that works well for that area. There is a ramp entrance for wheelchair/mobility aid users but I found it a bit tricky with the steep slope of the driveway. Some w/c users will need assistance. For w/c users the space inside the house is roomy but the showers are step in, they are not roll-in and it is a fixed shower head so users will need some mobility to use. There are grab rails next to the ensuite toilet and a shower stool is provided. There is ample space to wheel around the house. I would love to come back in summer as location is so close to Second Valley beach. I would return in winter with a couple of extra blankets! 🙂

Pepper's Place is a gem. Very peaceful and calming, particularly sitting on the deck surrounded by the beautuful trees, hills and birds - we even saw some yellow tailed black cockatoos which was very special (also on our lovely walk to the beach). The place is very clean, neat, tidy and spacious. Sandy & Les were really wonderful to communicate with - very prompt, thorough and warm. The three (of us) families who stayed there all agreed we hope we return one day.

I brought 4 generations of family to spend a few days in the beautiful Second valley. The home accommodated my frail elderly parents well who are wheelchair bound. Accommodated 6 adults and 2 children nicely. Absolutely recommend for a family get together

Property was very clean on arrival and was as we expected from the photos. Beds were comfy, kitchen quite well equipped and lots of dvds and board games available. Deck nice and spacious with tasteful decor throughout. We had a lovely time, thank you!
