Location is very convenient, good parking.

Warm, cozy, and classic feel. We really enjoyed our time here! Walked across the street for dinner and breakfast and walked down to the resort for a lovely evening walk. The location is perfect! The home is older but cared for and the design is cool - classic Girdwood! The kitchen was recently updated and I appreciated the washer/dryer.

Lovely property for 40 and under. Our group was much older and a little less mobile, so the chalet charms were more of an issue for us than would be for most. Once we found and turned on lights and fireplace, it was cozy and charming, definitely different design.

Really unique, pretty cabin. It seemed well managed- super clean, stocked nicely with everything we needed, and easy communication. Minor cons were a slightly funky shower (although functional and easy enough to use) and not much sound privacy as the loft rooms open to the living room and the beautiful wood interior echoes. Overall, a lovely, positive experience!

Great cozy place for family of 4 adults. Vacasa quickly and professionally handled any questions or concerns we had. Great location for our planned activities. We would definitely book again.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway! Cozy but also very open layout made the chalet feel so much bigger. Right at the base of the slopes, easy walking distance to ski/snowboard.

We loved the location of this cabin. Close to the mountain and our friends condos. We walked everywhere! Highly recommend. We will rent again.

Amazing location and feels like a cabin in the woods even though it’s walkable distance to most everything. The one recommendation I would make is for it to be 5 stars would be a better tankless water heater. I was never able to get a good shower longer than 5 minutes without it turning freezing cold- but would heat up to scorching if you turned the knob. If my husband had showered earlier that day you could forget about even getting 5 minutes worth of consistency. Other than that, this is the perfect getaway.

Property is ideally located for a ski trip. Ample sleeping space. The house has a lot of character and charm and it's a short walk to both the lifts and the bar.

We were able to check in a bit earlier due to forecasted bad weather leaving out of Anchorage to Girdwood. It snowed several inches overnight and early next morning the roads were taken care of and the driveway was also shoveled and plowed. Would recommend staying here any time of year, lots to do working walking distance including restaurants.

What a great place to stay. Not only did this house meet our needs but it’s location is perfect for seeing Alaska small town and out in the woods style. The red couch and benches gave all of us room to lounge and the fireplace was cozy after our mountain hikes/rafting trips. There is a donation only Bussing service to take you many places around Girdwood if you come by train. Crow Creek Mine, glacier/nature trail parks, and an animal conservation center are just a few activities close to this amazing house. We were a family of 6 adults and fit nicely in the space of this cabin. The kitchen held enough space for groceries to feed us for a week and the kitchen was well stocked in everything but glasses (5) and bowls (3). We got creative and made it work. Now as to the shower complaints that have been discussed in past reviews. FYI- this cabin has a tankless/on demand water heater. All 6 of us easily figured out how to use this heater. You literally need to turn it on, count to 15, test the water, adjust the knob, count to 15 again, test water, doing this until you have the temp you want. We didn’t need to move it but one time. Once you have it set to the right temp- take note as to where the arrow is and you can turn it off and on at the same place. We had our water temp set for the week.

Had a great week at the cabin. The location was close to Anchorage, had several hiking trails and was able to fish in Kenai and Seward. Hope to stay here again.

Went for a birthday trip and stayed two nights here. The pictures don’t do the size of the home justice. Pretty spacious and roomy. Didn’t plan on staying in the house for a long time during the day but ended up doing the opposite the first day we were there and spent the first day inside cause of tiredness from our flight. Didn’t mind since the home was so comfy! Girdwood is a small town but this house is located perfectly in the town we were able to walk to everywhere! We just couldn’t stop talking about how close the house was to things. We are planning a return to Alaska and hope to stay here again!

Loved it!

The house was perfect for two people and had almost everything we needed. The only thing wrong—AND IT’S A BIG ONE—Is that the shower was completely unusable. Regardless of how much time we waited, or what time of day we were in it, we could never get a medium temperature. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold. We had to resort to sponge baths and washing our hair in the kitchen sink. Not ideal for an eight day stay! Otherwise, we LOVED the cabin and the location, but the shower problem will prevent us from staying there again.

This is a great cabin for the price, perfect location- walk to the slopes and day lodge. Lots of room for everyone. Quick responses when emailed. Easy check in/out.

This was a great place for my wife and I to go on our honeymoon! Just big enough and cozy enough for us to be able to relax by the fire after a whole day of adventuring!

Lovely cabin for families and friends. Plenty of room and the number of beds was perfect. Walk right to the slopes, Bake shop, and Sitzmark. Looking forward to staying here again sometime.

This is the perfect spot for a ski trip, especially with multiple kids. You can see the daylodge from the window & it is across the street from the Powder Hound. It’s well equipped, clean and comfortable. The TV is a smart TV so you can log into apps for streaming. The gas fireplace is great for helping dry gear. The home has a lot of character & we enjoyed it!

I stayed at the cedar chalet with my husband and two other couples. It slept all of us comfortable and could have easily accommodated a few more people, as long as you’re ok with sharing one bathroom. The chalet is beautiful (the pictures don’t do it justice!), and everything was perfectly clean. The location in Girdwood can’t be beat - walk to the slopes, the Sitz, Jack Sprat, The Bake Shop... We can’t wait to stay again!

Vacasa staff was super helpful when car got stuck in the snow. Place was great.
