The location is amazing for those wanting to be in town. Easy walk to restuarants, bars, coffee house, grocery, etc. It's on a little quiet street just off the main drag. You'll rent this house a second time because it's on the river, which is gorgeous. So peaceful and tranquil. This home has lots of old charm being built somewhere in the late 1800's with old wooden beams, unique bedroom door handles that you just don't see anymore. But this home has some modern amenities too like a dishwasher, wifi, large screen smart TV, propane stove, reading nook, comfy beds and a 3 season screened in porch at the back. Parking for 4 cars. We drove to the mountain one day. It's about a 15 minute car ride (free parking on the mountain!). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would certainly come back again. The people who live in town are friendly, interesting and are not shy to come up to you and start a conversation. It's such a pleasant way to unwind and enjoy your vacation.

This is a fantastic little get away

Perfect little house for our ski weekend getaway with friends. It was only 15min drive to Jay Peak. The location right on the river was gorgeous and very peaceful. The house was very clean when we arrived and had everything that we needed. We definitely enjoyed our time and would return to this house. The house is managed by Vacasa, so if trying to communicate with them, definitely use the text or call method. They take many days to respond to questions via email.

Love this house, beautiful and quirky, has everything you need, housekeepers did a great job cleaning. Love Vacasa!

What a great home! So cozy and warm on a cold winters weekend! Everything was perfect! We enjoyed the little town as well as activities at Jay Peak. The home was big enough for 7 of us with plenty of towels and kitchen accessories! We will return!

What a relaxing weekend at this lovely home! Place was exceptionally clean, cozy, super comfy beds and pillows. In fact it has everything you would need to be comfortable. If you have a dog, even better, as the river out back will keep them entertained for hours. Fabulous amenities all around you also. Highly recommend!

The sound of Trout River is so pleasant to be near. The kitchen and living room are comfortable for a big group. Montgomery is a very groovy Vermont town with lots of places nearby to explore.

The family has a property manager taking care of the rental but when you try to actually communicate with them they don't respond. We stayed for a week and the 5 of us were able to take maybe 2 showers each the entire stay. We reached out partway through the trip asking if there was a specific trick we needed to do to get the water to warm up for us all to be able to shower and we received no response at all. We messaged again after we returned home asking for some sort of compensation back since we weren't able to shower properly the entire stay and had no response to our communication with them. We tried giving an opportunity for them to make things right and respond to our additional outreach but yet again we got no response in return. Be aware that you could run into the same issue and not get any response from the property manager.

Great location, wonderful outside, and. Very spacious. Stairs to upstairs are steep and shallow so best to go up on your knees and go down backwards like a ladder but we’ll worth it!

Perfect backyard to enjoy your coffee or glass of wine on Trout River! The house was clean and within walking distance of local restaurants.

The house is right on Trout River and provides a relaxing back yard along with comfortable living. Location is fantastic if you’re exploring the Jay Peak area!

Everyone enjoyed the stay. The house had a nice open space with plenty of places to sleep. It was also nice to enjoy the yard and creek.

We stayed here for our nieces wedding at Crofters Green and this was a great location. The house was clean and there was everything needed to make it a fun weekend with family. Great little town My only comment is that there were many emails and text messages sent by Vacasa theuoit our stay but there was no response when we tried to send one. The house was missing a blow dryer and when texted about this there was no response.Also when checking out there was a link to let them know we had done so and the link was to a general Vacasa webpage for the listing of the home. Not a huge deal. If you are going to make texting a main form of communication than it needs to go both ways.

Awesome and cozy home that was well-stocked in terms of kitchen and other supplies. Fun that it had A beautiful river view, too!

Cozy and with character. The riverside was lovely and it was such a short walk to town for meals or essentials.

This location is amazing. Walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants. There's a also a cute spa right across the street. You're also minutes away from the ski hill. The cabin is so cute and cozy too. Very well furnished and comfortable. Highly recommended.

The home and location were wonderful. The dogs enjoyed the river right in the backyard! Will definitely stay again in the future!

Property was great, clean fantastic location! we did some river hikes, which were fun. Area is beautiful and we will be back for sure!! the town is quaint and has what you need. Shopping at Sylvester's was a bit $$$$. I am looking at our schedule so I can book our next stay, even though we just got back!

I like to do laundry while on vacation so that we don’t go home with dirty clothes but the dryer in the house did not work. We only ate at the house twice and were looking forward to use the grill, however, both propane tanks were empty and we had to go fill them. As well the parking is extremely tight. The driveway is shared with the house next door and it is not easy to fit 4 cars across the driveway and still be able to open the door to get out. When I reached out to Vacasa about the dryer and propane I received a prompt response, but the response lacked substance and resolution. I was informed that the local team was notified but never heard anything further. Overall I enjoyed the stay and loved the area and fire pit out back but was a little disappointed in the items listed above. Thank you!

Loved sitting outside drinking my coffee listening to the river while the sun rised! Beds were super comfortable and extra pillows galore!

This house is the ideal rental and location for a perfect stay in Montgomery, VT - easy access to all amenities, nature, necessities, town center, and Jay Peak. From the moment you step through the door, you immediately feel at home. I loved the special touches and well stocked items for everything you need for an extended stay. The location is BEAUTIFUL, right on the river, with a great private yard for a fire and relaxing day by the water. The fast Electric Car charging port right at the 4 space parking area is excellent too! Thanks for a perfect weekend stay!

Our family traveled to Vermont per my daughter's request upon her graduation front high school. This home was incredible! It was super clean, comfortable, charming, relaxing and peaceful. It had everything you could think of in the kitchen for cooking, coffee, hot chocolate and tea. We loved it and will definitely come back!!

The very steep main staircase didn't trip us up, but difference in floor height between the left two bedroom, caused a fall,trip to ER, and broken bone in her foot. You should have had a small motion-activated light near the floor, for night time bathroom visits

Beautiful home. Nice and peaceful place to stay. Make sure you bring everything you need with you. We had to travel about 50 miles to a Wal-Mart because we forgot some things. It was a nice ride but if you don't want to do it, take everything with you including pots and pans. Definitely going back again with the family.

We enjoyed campfires every evening and coffee by the river every morning. The town is small, but plenty to do. During peak season I imagine it is busy but we found it to be perfectly quiet. Next time we stay we would love to bring friends to enjoy the space and surrounding beauty together.

Great house, perfect location in walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. So many extras at the house, fully stocked kitchen an plenty of extras to enjoy riverside. Quiet street, spacious yard, comfy bedrooms. Would definitely stay again.

We really loved the stay. It was quiet and very welcoming. The security cameras through me off at first but knowing they weren’t on while we stayed there felt very nice. I would highly recommend this place to anyone to relax.
