The photos of this home don’t do it justice. We stayed in the middle of summer and had clear unobstructed views from the lookout deck. There were also beautiful views from the back deck. This property is conveniently located right off the main highway which made visiting downtown Blowing Rock and traveling into Boone very convenient. We will absolutely stay again!

Great stay near blowing rock. Convenient location near downtown blowing rock and blue ridge parkway. Well kept, clean, good internet. Property owner friendly and good communication. Nice common areas to hang out both upstairs and down. The views were nice too. Proximity to the main road means you can hear the cars going by a bit outside, but otherwise great place and will stay again.

This is the second time we've rented The Barn and it was a good experience. The house has everything we needed and the views are super nice. The Wifi is very fast. Nothing has been overlooked and the house is very clean. Lisa and Paul are great to work with. Thanks for a fun vacation.

Spent a wonderful 5 days at Apple Ridge with friends. The view is wonderful from every vantage point - especially the deck/overlook. The home is absolute perfection with everything you need in the kitchen and baths. Lisa and Paul were lovely, responsive, and easy to work with. I doubt we will stay anywhere else when we visit Blowing Rock/Boone.

This property was so nice for visiting my son over the Easter Holiday. He attends APP State and this was so easy to get back and forth to Boone. The home is beautiful and comfortable for a family. We loved sitting on the outside deck by the solo stove with the great view. We enjoyed making big breakfasts in the morning is the kitchen and the family room space downstairs and upstairs is nice for watching movies and playing games. The owner was really responsive to all my emails and made our stay very nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend this property. Kim

We were 4 friends meeting for the first time since the pandemic. This house was very lovely, quiet, clean, and spacious. Comfy beds and beautiful interiors. It’s less than 15 mins to downtown Blowing Rock. I highly recommend this property.

The Barn was absolutely wonderful. The check-in process was a breeze, the property was spotless. The Decour was charming, and the vistas were beautiful! We created some great memories there as a family, and will return in the future.

This house is beautifully decorated, wonderful mattresses and comfy sheets.
The long range view of the mountains is a spectacular place to sit on the deck with a glass of wine, cozyied up to the fire pit and share memories. We loved that the entire yard was fenced in for our pup to enjoy the outdoors with us. Lisa, we are so glad this property was a available at a time we needed it. We will return’

Beautiful property
We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Barn. The home had everything we needed and the views are exceptional. We were even able to use a gate to avoid others using The Barn's private driveway and therefore our vehicle was very secure. The Wifi was very fast (fiber optic) and we were able to use the 'Net and stream with no difficulty. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the appliances were high-end. We like renting Lisa's properties and will do so again.

We had a great long weekend with family in this house with beautiful mountain views. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out. The upstairs living area was a nice extra space for the teens to hang out.

I can’t say enough about this beautiful property! My friends and I were looking for a ladies trip in Boone, but we didn’t expect there to be snow and ice all weekend. We ended up spending the entire weekend inside the house, and it was incredible!! The views were gorgeous, the house was clean and seemed brand new, the kitchen was great, and we loved just sitting by the fire. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were modern… I could go on and on. We had a wonderful weekend and plan to come back! Also Lisa was really communicative and easy to get in touch with, I only have positive things to say about this trip! Very thankful…

Nicely paved driveway with plenty of parking. This place looks like it was just remodeled with awesome kitchen and bathrooms. The property is completely fenced in so you can let your dogs run around outside without worrying. We rent in the mountains every Christmas and this is by far the nicest place, and VIEW that we've had. Only complaint is that it is very close to HWY 321, and the trailor trucks make a lot of noise when engine braking down the hill. I would imagine the noise is not as bad when the leaves are on the trees. We'll be back.

There was nothing about "The Barn" that disappointed! It was beautiful inside and out. Made our elopement weekend extra special!

We absolutely loved staying here. This was our first family vacation with my in-laws and three year old. The Barn was set up perfectly for us. The adults could relax downstairs with a movie while a few of us entertained the toddler upstairs with cartoons and a fantastic view of the mountains. We were close to many fun places to visit such as The Blowing Rock and downtown Boone. The kitchen had all the tools we needed for cooking. We really appreciated the Christmas tree and beautiful decor. So few rentals are planned out this well. You won't regret your stay here.

Nicely paved driveway with plenty of parking. This place looks like it was just remodeled with awesome kitchen and bathrooms. The property is completely fenced in so you can let your dogs run around outside without worrying. We rent in the mountains every Christmas and this is by far the nicest place, and VIEW that we've had. We had a wonderful stay here with 8 people for my birthday. The house was gorgeous along with the views. It would have been nice to have dining, den and deck seating for all eight of us. Always one short but we made it work. I would also recommend putting another king bed in upstairs. It would fit. Thank you for hosting us. I would come here again. The fenced area for the dogs was great.

AMAZING!!! 5 STARS!!!
Look no further! This property was absolutely amazing on all levels. Perfect location, mountain views, comfortable, clean and cozy! Perfect setup for my family regarding beds, bathrooms and space. The beds were very comfortable which is always important! We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the deck and building a fire each evening and drinking coffee in the mornings. It was one of the highlights of the entire trip. My only suggestion would be to put some lighting from the house to the deck as the walkway is really dark. We did use the flashlight but some permanent soft lighting would be really helpful. I hope to be back!! Thank you for being the perfect host!

The house itself is beautiful & well stocked and perfect size for our 6 person group, but with the great weather we had, the outside deck and view and fire pit/stove really made the stay excellent. Also loved we could close the gate across the driveway and let our dog run around the completely fenced in yard.

Fantastic family summer trip
The pictures do not do this house justice. Views from almost every room in the house, super clean, comfortable beds, amazing location to downtown Blowing Rock. Drive up the mountain was short and not scary. The house literally checked all the boxes. We will be back!
