Really felt like home, grandkids really enjoyed the stay

Our first time to Carolina Beach. House was close to the beach and the Cape Fear River. House worked out great for our family and two dogs

Beautifully restored beach house! So much room! So pet friendly and just steps to your dock for your boat. I love how they kept with the 1940’s original house and made so many restorative upgrades. Love the history on the wall that tells the story and Josie was a plus! Ended up just being 3 of us and enjoyed it so much.

We enjoyed a few nights at Myrtle’s Place before Memorial Day. The house was a great location to the beach, pier, downtown, and more. The lounge off the queen bedroom was perfect for our toddler to stay close but have her own room. We were able to childproof the house pretty easily with outlet plugs, stove knob covers, door knob covers, cabinet locks, and moving breakables to a high shelf. I appreciated that all TVs (with the exception of the lounge off the queen room) were mounted to the wall. We wound up removing the TV from there and putting in an unused room. If you want to maximize time at Myrtle’s, Uber Eats and Instacart happily delivers to this location. P.S. If visiting in the spring, please note that the Ferris wheel, rides, and many restaurants are only open Thurs–Sun during the off season.

We enjoyed our week at Myrtles Place. The home had lots of character and space for 4 couples and 3 dogs. Very pet friendly with hardwood floors and a fenced yard. Great location to enjoy Carolina Beach! The owner was very quick with communication and always available and helpful. Thank you for a great vacation!

Loved our stay at Myrtles Place! Perfect location for watching sunsets on the canal, and a block away from the beach. Plenty of space for friends or guests. Fenced in yard for our dog. Responsive owners- the laundry machine broke and they had it replaced next day. Open kitchen, wood details and charm throughout. You can tell the home was lovingly restored. Will def stay here again!

This property was perfect! The rustic traditions paired with the modern upgrades made an enjoyable and relaxing environment. The location was perfect with access to the water area across the street for kayaking and the beach sand an easy walk to play and bask in the sun. Fun to read the history of this sweet cottage and how the memory and history was preserved. Really accommodating place to bring the dogs too. Host was quick to respond super kind.

For the price we paid, I felt we should’ve gotten something more in terms of cleanliness

We all enjoyed the property and its convenient location to the beach. We fished off the boat dock across the street. We will definitely consider coming back to this property.

Myrtle’s place is absolutely lovely! A spacious kitchen living area combination provided plenty of comfortable space for everyone. Nice sized bedrooms with very comfy beds. Location is convenient. Nice fenced back yard, which was great for the dogs(They strongly approved of this property)

Very nice place. Plenty of parking and the homes wide open concept made socializing and meals very enjoyable. The backyard is great and my pup Winston loved the doggie door! 5 min walk to the beach and amazing sunsets from the front porch! Highly recommended!

Myrtles Place was as exactly as listed and was a great place to stay for the week with two families and our dogs.

The house was wonderful. Cozy and charming with modern touches. One of the best showers in a vacation home. There are a lot of reclaimed doors in the interior that take a little getting used to if you are not familiar with them. The pirate lady spooked more than one family member. Nothing that the owners can control, but there are no sidewalks, just a bike/pedestrian lane on Canal St. Not a deterrence, just something to be mindful of if like us, you have a small child with you. Roads can get flooded but again nothing the owners can control. Overall, a lovely and relaxing week in a beautiful home!

The hosts are super responsive to all questions leading up to the arrival. Justus was helpful when needed something and was so kind. The house has everything you need and didn't need. Everything was thought out for the guests. The kitchen is amazing. Also.. Josie .. lol! Close to all things. Short walk to the beach made sunrise watching easy and turtle hatching viewing possible (not turtles hatched for us this week). Highly recommend.

Enjoyed staying with family and friends in this comfortable home in a very convenient location (close to the beach, the bay, the pier and the boardwalk). Highly recommend.

House was amazing and anything you could possibly need was there in the house. Would definitely recommend this house, perfect house, location. Our first vacation to Carolina beach and we will definitely be back next year!

We had a great time staying here with family and our dogs. The fenced back yard was a good size with lots of shade for the pups. The house had plenty of room for the 9 of us and the kitchen was large and well stocked for a vacation home. It was an easy walk to the beach and conveniently located to town.

Myrtle’s Place is the most amazing place I have rented at the beach! Jessica is an amazing person. She was very quick to respond to any request and questions I had. We stayed for a long weekend with our adult children and grandchildren. We were able to bring our dogs and Myrtle’s Place accommodated all! It’s beautiful, spacious and just perfect! The dogs enjoyed the fenced in backyard that allowed them some freedom and the children had room to run and play! The adults were able to enjoy watching the fur babies and the children while relaxing on the patio. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and brought back memories of my grandparents home with the antique doors. We all were memorized with the ocean light on the kitchen counter. The dock on canal was awesome. The teenagers were able to use the cast net and all of us were able to enjoy fishing in the Canal. It was a very short walk to the beach. Plenty of room for parking! Our entire family said they wanted to come back to Myrtle’s Place!! One of the grandchild said they want to live there! Very clean and comfortable home. Just absolutely amazing!!!

House was exactly as described and spotless! Yard is perfect for pups and includes good space for crating. This is a fabulous family getaway!

This was a great house for our family. I originally chose this house because we were bringing our dog with us and it had a fenced in yard. But this house was great for the whole family. It is a short walk to the beach and had plenty of space inside for us to relax and not be on top of each other. We spent a lot of time on the front porch and our dog enjoyed it as well. I liked that it had a gate to close off the stairs to keep her on the porch. The washer and dryer were a big plus for us as well so we didn’t have to pack as many clothes for our vacation. The house has a lot of character and we enjoyed reading about Myrtle, the original owner of the house.

Mrytle’s place is a great home with plenty of space for our party of 7 and pet friendly! Very easy to walk to the beach and great views. My family had a wonderful stay.

I can’t say enough good things about the couple who owns this property! The house for one is absolutely gorgeous and Unique. Immediately after arriving I already wanted to book again. It’s extremely accommodating. We had a group of 11 and we were constantly searching for each other. It’s great to be able to have your space when traveling in a large group. The went out of their way to buy a huge umbrella for the patio outback because we mentioned it could be a good idea during the day it heats up pretty badly out there and we did not expect him to accommodate us so quickly we really appreciated that so much! All the personal touches went a long way with us. It was a few minute walk to the beach and the fact that we had the dock over the canal was the icing on the cake. It was our nightly routine to toss a rod over a crab pot. There was so much to do back at the house we almost had to decide whether we do a beach day or hang out there. You won’t regret booking with them and I can tell they’ll just get even better as time goes on! The only small recommendations I would make to them is maybe providing a separate ice maker for larger groups, fridge can’t keep up with large groups. Not their fault and I don’t hold that against them just a suggestion. The other thing was a beach wagon would have been perfect. We hope to return to stay at Myrtles Place. Don’t forget to check out the history behind this house. It’s such a good gem! Thanks Justus and Jessica for allowing us to make memories at Myrtles Place!
