Beautiful home in a lovely location….exactly as advertised.

Location was great. It is secluded and quiet.

Upon arrival after an 8-hour drive there was absolutely no toilet paper anywhere on the property. That was unconscionable, and it set the tone for the stay. When I checked for the usual one night's worth of coffee or tea there was none. Then the staff at Vacasa told me that properties do not have coffee, spices, etc., as I was standing looking at a cabinet full of spices, olive oil, etc. In short, it was extremely unwelcoming. I've never stayed in a rental where there was no TP, and no coffee for the first morning. For the price one expects these small amenities. Also, there were no instructions at all at the property about the TV, about checking out, etc. A few flyers taken from a nearby restaurant is really not the same as a personal note.

The cottage is quiet. It is near redwoods. It is close to some great parks with beautiful hiking trails. Arcata is small but has great places to shop. Eureka has great murals to find.

The bathroom door squeaked. A blanket we pulled out of the window seat bench had hair on it. There were dust bunnies under the bed.

Staying in this place is almost like staying in the forest with all the windows and openness of the place.

Stellar experince in every way possible. Actually the experience was even better than the description and photos presented. I can not recommend enough and would absolutely stay there again
