Beautiful Home, very well equipped, had everything we needed. Would definitely return.

Had a great time at this beautiful lake house in CT. There were 8 of us in our group and felt that we had plenty of space. Loved the dock by the lake- had so much fun fishing, swimming and just lounging around. We rented a few kayaks for a couple days which were delivered to the house.
Lesley (owner) was so friendly and helpful every step of the way from check in to check out. There were helpful messages throughout the house that explained everything you needed to know…so organized!
I will definitely plan a return trip.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was perfect, exactly as described and can’t wait to go back!
Several bedrooms to comfortably sleep two families. Set in a great private neighborhood, directly on the lake - we spent all day swimming, nights cooking and relaxing at the fire pit. The house sits across a private reserve and we felt like we were in a remote area. Lesley was wonderful, great at communicating, very clear instructions - very easy! Thank you!!

What a wonderful week at the lake!
The house is everything you would expect from a ‘real’ lake house perched on a hill with a perfect vista. House was clean, everything you need is there - after talking to the hosts to give them feedback - I struggled to think of anything.
We dropped the boat in and moored at the dock where we spent most of our time. The area of the lake the house backs onto is quiet and perfect for water sports. We all got up on the wakeboards and the little ones had a blast on the tube.
The hosts Lesley and Kris were first class - keeping in contact and pointing us in the right direction or leaving us be to enjoy our time.
Would love to make this our regular lake holiday home.

Our stay here during a heat wave was wonderful. It was cool by the lake and the water was crystal clear. Bring water shoes for walking down the steps. The kitchen was stocked with every tool you would ever need. There are many good restaurants in the area if you don't want to cook and lots of things to do in the area. There is a beach down the road if you have small children. Most houses on the lake do not have gradual access to the water. All in all, it was a very enjoyable week even during a rain storm which we watched from the safety of the house!

My family and I had a wonderful time during our weeks stay. The house was immaculate and well stocked. The location is also perfect with a lovely dock for fishing, sunbathing and swimming!! Leslie and Kristen are perfect hosts who communicate proactively and provide prompt responses to all inquiries.
Just a couple of items to note so you’re prepared. There is a long stairway to get from the house to the dock. While not steep, it may pose a challenge for elderly individuals. My Dad, who is 87, was able to go up and down them, however, he was nervous about falling while going down and had to rest a few times while going up. Also be aware that the tvs are streaming only. No cable.

It was my & my families first time at Candlewood Lake & it was one of the best vacations we’ve had!! The house on the lake was spotless, very welcoming & comfortable. It had everything we needed to make our vacation complete. We loved being outdoors in the yard & on the deck overlooking the water. My grandchildren loved being able to fish & swim whenever they wanted, and definitely making s’mores in the firepit! Lesley was always available if we had any questions & was a very gracious host! I’m so happy that she opens her home for others to share! Thankyou Lesley!

We had a great vacation. The house was comfortable and inviting. The location is fabulous , right on the water. We had a great time swimming, kayaking, fishing and just hanging out on the dock. Lesley is a gracious host and we communicated with her with ease. The entire experience was phenomenal.

We had a wonderful week! This house is amazing. Everything is so well appointed and functional. The house and everything in it is in great condition. It was truly a joy to stay here.
