Great place - wonderful views, beautiful and well-maintained home, plenty of space and a host that immediately answered our only question about the house and followed up again the next day. would love to stay there again. The pool table was a fun bonus

Gloria Hill had amenities for all ages a great accommodations. It is spacious but cozy at the same time. The beds are super comfortable, the shower in the master bathroom was amazing, the view was spectacular, and the kitchen very well stocked. The host was super helpful and responsive. We will definitely be back! We had 3 young couples with a baby and two toddlers, as well as my husband and I - we are 60.

Overall a great trip

Great stay at Gloria Hill home. Convenient to Beach, Sugar Mountain, and surrounding towns for restaurants. Everything was clean and looked as advertised in the pictures. Our stay was great. I would recommend this house and plan on renting again. CC

This is a beautiful place to stay, we had plenty of room and really enjoyed playing pool and games in game room. The kitchen had everything you needed for a large party. The view was just breathtaking, especially when the sun wise rising! It was so close to the ski resort and the town of BEECH MOUNTAIN. We would definitely stay here again!

The property was very nice. I was very impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was with whatever we needed. The views from the deck were amazing. The house was clean and the layout was perfect for our family needs. I would highly recommend this property for a mountain getaway.

Good view and clean place to stay

Mountain View is fantastic. Nice, clean and well maintained. Brought the kids & their children, everyone had there own space.

The view is the best part of this property. The lack of customer service from the owner is definitely the worst aspect of this rental. The thermostat was locked so we couldn’t change the temperature. We have a family member that needs a slightly cooler temperature for medical reasons. We explained this to property management. They told the owner and asked if he could unlock the thermostat. He said absolutely not. When you spend an exorbitant amount of money to stay three nights you expect the owner to show the most basic courtesies at the very least. That just did not happen here. We’re not children. We should be able to change the temperature if needed. Not allowing that is a slap in the face. In addition to that - every necessary item stocked in the house was only stocked at the absolute minimum. Every single bathroom ran out of toilet paper (note: we did not have a full house of people). We ran out of paper towels. We weren’t given enough trash bags, etc. Again, when you pay this much, you expect that at least the basic necessities will be covered. They weren’t. We are constantly booking VRBOs all over the country and have rarely (if ever) seen this lack of courtesy. We were constantly running to the store to buy things that should’ve been stocked. This level of stinginess by the owner really made the trip much less enjoyable. Every single adult in the house might’ve come back again on their own if it weren’t for this display of cheapness, but because of what they saw, no one will be returning.

Overall we had a great time and enjoyed the property. Other than minor issues with the stove, one bed and the hot tub everything was as expected. We would love to return to the property in the future.

Great house with everything you need for great mountain vacation.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this Beech Mountain property. The room layout was excellent with plenty of space for our large family group. The pool table and hot tub were big hits. The house was easy to get to. The mountain view from the den and deck is awesome. The house was very clean and everything was in good shape and functional.

This house was perfect for our family with grown children and their spouse/significant other. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with all the cooking utensils you could imagine. Great location to the ski slopes and town necessities.

I go to the mountains every year but is the first time I reserve with Carolina cabins. I should have use them more in the past. The reservation process was flawless and the cabin was an exceptional place to stay. super clean super comfortable with an Spectacular view.

My family and I had an amazing time at Gloria Hill. Everything we needed was there, just wished there was an outdoor fireplace to allow us to use the porch more in the chilly weather. But, definitely not a deal breaker by any means. Carolina Cabins was also impressive and exceeded my expectations. They were available every time I called to help figure things out.

We found the reservation process quick and easy. The cabin was exactly as advertised with all needed amenities. It was very clean and well furnished. Everything worked as expected. We felt safe there and would definitely rent Gloria Hill again!

The house was amazing!

There are some MAJOR SAFETY CONCERNS, especially if you have young children or have issues with stairs. There are no hand rails, only 2x6s, on any of the interior stairs, which make the steep stairs from the entryway very hard to navigate. The stairs from the entry down into the living area don't have the 2x6 start until the 3rd stair, which means there is nothing to hold onto. As someone who struggles with leg stability, this made my week frustrating and nerve-wrecking. Also, the balusters on the stairs are no where near up to code. I'm expecting that they were grandfathered in, but as a rental they should really be updated. Code shows that 4" is the maximum space between balusters. All of the stair balusters are a minimum of 8", some are 11", and there is even a triangular space on the set of stairs going to the basement that is nearly 2 feet wide!!!! This needs to be an immediate priority. We constantly had to watch our kids. Also, the living room is sunken by about 2 feet, although it's not accurately depicted in pictures. There is one 2'x3' space that is a straight drop. There is no bannister, stair, or piece of furniture to block someone from falling. That being said, the house was beautiful, well-appointed, and clean. The kitchen is extremely usable and well-equipped, the hot tub is much larger than it seems in the picture, and the beds are comfortable. If not for the safety issues, this house absolutely rates a 5-star review.

Awesome time in the mountains in August! Great space and views, excellent amenities (Hot tub and firepit were definite favorites) and very good place to stay if you're looking to spend some time on Beech. One highlight was seeing a pretty large black bear walking down the gravel road in front of the house in the fog on our last night.

Gloria Hill is wonderful and the views from the home are incredible! The beds were comfortable, the rooms were very clean and spacious. The kitchen had all necessities to accommodate our cooking needs. The entire family of six adults and five children loved this place so much we are planning on a return trip back to Gloria Hill!

Clean, well maintained home with fantastic mountain views and an interesting oversized griddle instead of a traditional grill.membership at the Beech Mtn Club a definite plus. Three generation family from 5 to 70 years old. Worked for all of us, would definitely book here again

My family an i enjoyed everything about Gloria Hill...alot of people have inquired about my stay

I was very disappointed that this property was not ski-in-ski-out as stated on the web page. It clearly says that the home is "less than a half mile walk to slopes." This is false! It was more like 1 mile.....too far to walk in ski boots.

The house was absolutely beautiful and we had a winter wonderland of snow while we were there! Preciously owning a rental property there are a few things I would point out to help improve for guests in the future. The dishes that were in the cabinet were not clean. I believe they had been washed in dishwasher, but had crusty residue on them. We had to wash everything before use. The upstairs bathroom toilet had the sanitized strip on the toilet, but had clearly not been cleaned. In the description it leads you to believe the slopes are walking distance, but they are not, it is definitely more than a 2 mile walk to get to the slopes and that's using the main road. As skiers, we were sadly disappointed to know that we would have to load up the truck to get to the slopes. Lastly, two couples on our trip own hot tubs, it was very clear that it has not been properly cleaned. I just want to share my thoughts to help future renters as I always wanted the same from our renters. We will definitely be back next year to rent the same property or try out a new one!

This vacation was amazing. I had a birthday celebration for my beloved husband and brought our brothers and sisters and our daughter, God daughters and God son. We all had a great time. The kitchen was stocked for us to cook home cooked meals daily three times a day. The jacuzzi was clean and amazingly hot enough for the 13 degree chilling weather. We enjoyed the resort amenities and took advantage by going ice skating and tubing until we almost froze literally. Then we would come back to the beautiful cabin to enjoy the fire place every evening. The place was huge, beautiful and clean. Internet went out but customer service was awesome. We were even blessed with snow on the last day there. Glory Hill is On the top of my vacation list.
