Very fair priced house and easy access to beach. This part of Folly has less people and is a bit more easy going.

Perfect house for a group of people! Enough space to have space from people. Great room accommodations. Great beach access! I will definitely be renting here again :)

Decor was beautiful, space was nice, close to beach entrance.

The house was clean, and the location was lovely. The view of the marsh from the back porch was stunning, especially during sunset. The walk to the beach was super easy. We will be back!

Did not disappoint.

We enjoyed our time at Folly Beach. PROS for the house: great location across from beach, 3 full bathrooms, awesome sunsets over the marsh, outdoor shower with hot water, rooftop lookout was fun. CONS: constant water in front yard; AC seemed to struggle to keep house cool; kitchen is small; laundry doors are hard to get clothes out of dryer; was buggy outside on the marsh; two beds were missing some linens but they were quick to respond and bring them. We had adults and teens and overall had a good experience.

The 4 bedrooms were great. Enough room for everyone. Love the marsh view in the back, and the ocean across the street. Not a complete ocean view, but just a couple houses down, and had access to great beach. Best of both worlds.

The property is very nice and was enjoyed by all. However, there are some items that need repair. The gas grill downstairs does not work properly and does not have control over the amount of gas being supplied. The front door handle and lock are in bad need of replacement. The queen mattress in the middle room is very poor and needs replacing. Thank you.

Belle Mar is simply beautiful. We loved our family meals on the back porch overlooking the marsh. Sharing our latest recipes in the kitchen. Working out and yoga on the top deck watching the stars. We all went out on the marsh during high tide with the canoe, the kyak and the paddle board. It was an expedition! Having our dog with us made our stay complete.

We really enjoyed our family vacation in this home. It was perfect for our family of 8. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. You could ask for a better location. This is our second time staying at this house and we are already looking at dates for next year!

Convenient and updated

We really enjoyed our stay at Belle Mare. The location is perfect. Very short walk to the beach and the views over the marsh especially at sunset are stunning. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The layout of the home with its indoor and outdoor seating areas gave us plenty of room. Any questions or issues were quickly answered by the managers. We would highly recommend the house and we can’t wait to go back!

The house was clean and in a great location! From the front door you can see the ocean and the marsh is in the backyard! My only complaints would be that the beds either need to be flipped or replaced, the body sized holes weren’t very comfy! Also some of the boards on the front stairs and the back patio seemed a little soft to step on.

Overall a great property, there are a few items that need attention for example there are a few blinds throughout the house that need replacing but would book this property again .)

Beautiful home. Lots of space for 10 people. Great backyard and plenty of chairs on decks. I will definitely stay in this home again.

This was the second time we rented this home. Fantastic views, well stocked kitchen and clean. Marsh views are the best views. We made so many memories with our family and will definitely rent again next fall.

The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The ramp was extra bonus for getting up the steps. Beautiful and peaceful with front row seat to sunsets.

Our family loved every second at Belle Mare! This is our 8th year at Folly and our best stay yet! The location was perfect. The house was beautiful and clean. All of the things important to a family with kids were there… clean rooms with plenty of space to spread out, a perfect outdoor shower - a MUST for us, beautiful porch areas to hang out including the underneath of the house, quick beach access. We text with the staff about a few things and they were very responsive and showed up promptly. As a busy mom, there is only one thing I really missed - Tupperware food containers for fridge storage and plastic ware for the kids. All of the glassware and dishware is beautiful, but really need some plastics for food storage and kid use. Again, loved every second and we will be back!

Positive feedback first -This place was immaculate and decorated with pretty, updated furniture and accessories. The front and back decks were so nice to relax on to either enjoy the breeze and sun out front or the marsh, shade, and sunsets out back. Negative-The description on the place indicated there were kayaks and a canoe with life jackets that we could use. And there was one canoe and two kayaks. However, I noticed immediately there were no paddles or life jackets to be found. There was a closet under the house, but the key provided did not work on that door. I called Vacasa and asked about it- they said they called the homeowner and would let me know, but they never got back to me. Also, the front door lock is horrible. The key just spins and spins and will finally lock the door after probably 10 to 15 tries. This was so annoying ever time we left the house. And this is such an easy fix. Otherwise, we did enjoy the house and the location.

My family recently stayed at Belle Mare for my sister’s wedding in Folly Beach. We had a wonderful time! The home was exactly what we needed - spacious, clean, stocked with kitchenware, etc. All directions were easy to follow and it had strong internet connection. The location is wonderful because you get views of the marsh and beach! There are multiple porches and lots of dining space. The best part was the neighboring homes, they treated us like friends and neighbors, not guests! They were kind and helpful! We would most certainly come back! Thank you!

What a great place. Everything was as described on the website. The back of the property was peaceful and had a gorgeous view with an amazing sunset. The space was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The only thing to keep in mind at this location is that during high tide there is no beach. So no beach walks at sunset for us. It wasn’t a problem but if you want to be on the beach at a specific time you need to check tidal times. We would definitely go back to this place.

Location was excellent as well as house layout. Being on one level and handicap ramp were nice.
All the dishes, glasses, and cutlery were Dusty and dirty. Tried to wash them in the dishwasher and they still came out with a dusty film on them. Was Shocked that in the middle of Covid they did not correct this as a former reviewer mentioned it also. After two days, our daughter suggested trying liquid instead of the powder that was provided. It helped but did not totally resolve the problem. They need a new dishwasher.
There was hair on the Wall and Floor of the master bathroom shower-disgusting! That was mentioned in a former review as well.
The bathroom was so cold we had to use a space heater that we happened to have in the car.
Sliding glass door was cracked open in master Bedroom.
All of these things are fixable SO WHY DIDN’T THEY AFTER A PREVIOUS REVIEW!!!???

We thoroughly enjoyed this rental. It was very spacious and comfortable. We would rent it again.

We loved our stay in this house. It has a wonderful location and underneath the house was the perfect set up for a low country boil. The kitchen was well equipped and rooms comfy. The deck and deck steps both front and back had a few questionable blanks but we learned quickly which to avoid.

We had a great time at Belle Mare! A couple things we couldn’t recognize from the listing photos is that the home comes with a relatively new dock for the creek in the back yard. And that the outdoor shower under the house comes with 3 different settings.

It was a nice touch having all of the beach accessories in the storage space under neath and we got good use out of the gas boiler.

Everything else was as expected; which his good! Because we had high hopes for the property! 90 second walk to the public beach access. 5 stars across the board!
