Excellent spot on the lake! Issues with water could have been handled better. Four days to fix plumbing problem. Local team communicated well first two days then went silent. Would have expected them to check on us. I’ve been to the property 4 times and love it. The lawn chairs we usually used were gone. Bought a couple and left them for the next guest. So, love it and will go back but disappointed in the customer service.

The cabin was very clean and very well stocked. We have no complaints and would stay here again!

The Hooting Loon was very comfortable for our family. We loved being right on the lake.

This cabin is attractive, clean, cozy and very well stocked. We traveled early October and enjoyed the views of the lake in the mornings and evenings; sunrises and sunsets, and stargazing at night was tremendous. Even though it was late in the year for them, we were lucky enough to hear loons couple of times. The neighbors were quiet and we enjoyed the silence. We were spending time in Bangor and Bar Harbor, so this location made for a reasonable commute to both, and the town of Ellsworth had all the conveniences we needed. Be aware that one of the rooms is a true loft accessible by a steep ladder only. That was no concern for us but might be for some. I would book this cabin again in a heartbeat.

We had a great week at this cabin! It was very clean and well appointed. The location on the lake is absolutely gorgeous. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent here again.

Such an easy stay, the house has a great kitchen with lots and pans, washer dryer, bathroom towels, soaps and shampoos. And close to the town center of Ellsworth to stock up on groceries for the week. Saw some beautiful sunsets on the lake and would definitely want to book here again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks stay at Hooting Loon. Angel does an awesome job making sure the house is clean and ready. Loved having a kayak, canoe, and paddle board to enjoy the lake. Can't beat the views from the outside seating as well as the screened in porch. Great location; close to Ellsworth and Bangor. Very relaxing vacation.

This lake house had everything we needed and more! Arrival was easy, the place was spotless, and the amenities were great. Will definitely come back next summer!

There is a canoe, dock, a kayak, hammocks, front porch and the lake. It is gorgeous and crystal clear. There are lions rhat sounds like magic. Kitchen is well stocked and this is all great by our lake standards.

Cottage was exactly as advertised, Green Lake with the large dock was perfect. Beds were all comfortable, the upper loft ladder access was not for the faint of heart but perfectly adequate for older teens and young at heart adults. Kitchen had everything you needed for a wide range of meals. If I could have changed anything; the trash and recycle would have been removed from the shed before our arrival. It contained several trash bags and full recycle containers from previous guests. Not a show stopper. Would go back and stay again. We had multiple kayaking trips around the lake, used the fire pit ant night and watched the Perseids meteor shower off the dock at night. All in all everyone had fun.

Beautiful cabin. Gorgeous lake location Suitable for families as well as romantic couples. We had a lovely time building fires, star-gazing, paddling on the lake, and relaxing. The only downside is that with this serene location, one is a bit removed from Bar Harbor/Acadia/grocery store. BUT DO NOT LET THAT DETER YOU! The drive was easy, pretty, and full of delightful roadside attractions. The cabin came equipped with fishing poles, paddle boards, kayak, and a tiny little beach! I miss it already.

Wonderful home, quiet and peaceful , just what we needed

Beautiful and comfortable home is perfect for families. We especially loved the outdoor amenities including the paddle board and kayak. The kids also got a kick out of the ladder loft sleeping area. Green lake was beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing on the doc or in the screened in back porch area.
We drove into Acadia a few days, and it was a little further than I anticipated, but definitely doable. We were 10-15 mins from Ellsworth and about 30-40 from Acadia.

Property was exactly as described. Extremely clean, everything in great working order. Loved the kayak and canoe. Paddleboard also available. Fire pit perfect for evening fires. Private lakefront access. Screened porch was great for meals and relaxing. Everything included—from life preservers to portable hammocks, to coffee grinder, and everything in between. Our first VRBO stay was a success! Can’t wait to return.

Great Lake side property. Really enjoyed the property. It is clear that the owners give this place much love. Everything one needs to enjoy time at the lake is available. Lots of subtle touches made it feel cozy.

Stayed here with our 3 kids and it was perfect! Really enjoyed the fire every night, the dock, and taking the canoe out. The camp was very clean. Would definitely stay again

Clean, unique cabin on a pristine lake. Loved having the dock for jumping in and swimming. Onsite kayak, canoe and paddle board make exploring many inlets and islands a fun possibility. Loon calls and campfires round out the storybook Maine getaway.

This house was perfect for 2 couples and 2 kids. It had literally everything you could think of for a perfect lake front stay....kayaks, canoes, fishing gear, fire pit - we absolutely loved it here. Plus, every cup, towel, and appliance looked and felt brand new!!
