Had a great time, property lived up to the pictures and some!

House was nice and we enjoyed the space and the location but there were several maintenance problems. The grill was filthy and it didn't come to temp until the 2nd day when maintenance came out and removed spider webs from the gas feed line. Then it worked fine. The oven only heated to 325 even when set to max temp. Maintenance worked on that also and said it was fixed but it wasn't. It didn't do any better the remaining days. The controls for the oven are probably perfectly understandable to someone used to arcane symbolism. It's be nice to have a manual on hand. The microwave was a bit weird, no rotating plate, so it heated unevenly and slowly. Like I said, the property was really nice but for that money I expect things to work well on arrival.

We celebrated my wife’s 37th birthday there.. Home was VERY CLEAN & decor was just as seen in the pictures. It was our first summer trip to Deep Creek and the stay was very pleasant. Looking forward to booking this home again in the future.

I loved the location and the property was beautiful. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely bring our family back to the area and book again. Out of everywhere in deep creek this is the property you should choose!

The accommodations at Away in the Mountains were amazing! The amenities were pristine, I felt there was great attention to detail and cleanliness. This was an ideal home for families with small children, with enough to keep them busy in the house and with the lake and other recreational activities just a short distance away. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the Deep Creek area. The only minor note of feedback is the property management company would take an average 2-3 days to respond to requests. A phone call may get information faster than email.

Stayed with 10 old friends from college and enjoyed the house. Everything is brand new and very clean. Great location too - Wisp is within jogging distance, and it's very easy to get to grocery stores and some food. Would love if you put instructions on how to work the oven in the renter's booklet - that took some time to figure out - but would definitely stay again.
