Super clean and had all the little things we needed to make our 3 nights there awesome including outdoor stove and pots/pans/dishes. Wade lives in the back building and will have your keys for you and get you setup with bikes to check out. He has all sorts of suggestions and knowledge of the area too. He will also take you pedalboarding ( not paddleboarding, its different) for a very reasonable price if the ocean is cooperating. Realize that it is at the heart of the town on the main street and there is some road noise in the rooms due to that, but nothing crazy. Several Restaurants in the area that didnt show up on Google maps. Place right across the street had a good inexpensive breakfast. 30 minute or less drive to Cockscomb/jaguar preserve and Bocawina for some great waterfall hikes.

Room is ok. But checking in was a huge mess !! After my booking was confirmed 2 weeks before and receiving email confirmations and bookings the week before, I come to the site with staff saying they are not aware of my booking ! And that is after 2 days of exchanging Whatsapp messages with someone who introduced herself as the local concierge ! I had to call international because no one was there to assist and who said was the local concierge disappeared and cannot be contacted on the day. When I finally got to the room after talking to a number of people who I don't know, I was told I can only use the AC from 730pm to 9am. When it's time AC was not working! Had to call 2 staff to fix and wait the entire night for it to work. All this hassle for a place that is not really cheap! Staff were nice but had no useful recommendations for local tours, which is sad for a tourist destination. What a mess ! I will not recommend this place to a guest who should enjoy this beautiful country. Better places around that are more reliable, hassle-free, not as costly, and with helpful staff.

Wade is an awesome host! So laid back and welcoming...we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! Wade’s tips and suggestions made our trip amazing! We hiked and saw waterfalls, tubed down a lazy river, snorkled, zipped-lined through the jungle and toured an old sugar mill, all through the expert advice of Wade! The accommodation was perfect for us too! Clean clean clean, with full kitchen, living room area, and bedroom with a comfy bed to crash in after a day of activity! There is a store a short walk up the road, and a fruit stand right beside the property to buy fresh bananas, papaya, and watermelon. The coffee shop across the street (Thongs) offers great food for breakfast and refreshing fruit juices. We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again one day soon.
