We stayed for four days towards the end of September, and it was a fantastic break. The property itself is very traditionally styled in keeping in with the surrounding area. It was clean, and everything seemed new. Inside was spacious, with a large living room and kitchen/dining room. The property had all the modern facilities you could need (WiFi, washing machine etc). The outside is where we spent most of our time, enjoying the pool area and patio areas for lunches and breakfasts (two areas for this, which was nice). The location itself was extremely peaceful, no noise or light pollution in the evening. Fantastic night sky! A car is a must if you want to get out and about, a highlight was the Cisternino town (5 minutes away). Authentic restaurants all over the town, and all very reasonably priced. Highly recommended, and would visit again.

House aside, we fell instantly in love with the lifestyle Villa Mandorle has to offer: our days started with breakfast outside on the patio, followed by a trip into Cisternino (~10 mins drive, you need a car) to pick up food from the local market and wander through its picturesque streets and alleyways. When we got back we would have a light lunch and then make the most difficult decision of the day: whether to spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or down by the local beach (~20 mins drive). The decision wasn't made any easier by the gorgeous views one gets lounging by the pool, nor the presence of a second gazebo! We typically headed back into Cisternino for dinner - there are countless local trattorias, ristorantes, masserias and pizza places to choose from and you won't go far wrong whichever you go to. One particular highlight was the tiny crepe shop tucked away down a little alley; another was Bar FOD underneath the clock tower in the main square. Ali was very helpful in the run up to our holiday and answered all our questions promptly, while the woman who greeted us on arrival (apologies - I forgot her name!) did a great job of showing us all the practical stuff one needs to know. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Mandorle to a friend and hope I can come back here again.

The house is very comfortable with good bedroom accommodation set off an openplan, very spacious new kitchen/diner and large sitting area. Great place to cook and then eat on the amazing terrace. The bedrooms are all well furnished and comfortable.

This was my second stay in Villa Mandorle, the first being before the new building. The new kitchen area has completely opened up the house giving it so much living space making holidaying with a large family very comfortable. I would also like to say that if you have never visited you would not know it had been extended as it has been done so well and in keeping with the original property ! The grounds of the property are beautiful and pool area just lovely with plenty of loungers. The property is very well stocked so you are never running out of things The surrounding area offers some really lovely walks and once in the car there are many gorgeous towns and villages to visit, Go on market day as you'll get all you need there. All in all I had a fantastic holiday and would recommend Villa Mandorle to anyone. Thank you you 😄

A car is definately need the house is very secluded ,the pool is a little distant from the house. Ali,Colleen arranged a cook for us on 3 days,brilliant to get back from a trip to have the food all prepared and cooked. The area is magical,so much to see. The only negative was it was very hot at night ,a few more fans would have helped .The 4 bedrooms entrance is separate from the house ,perfect for Grandparents or older children. We really hope to go again next year

I rented the villa in summer 2013 for a week. We are a family of 6 and it is quite hard for us to find a house with enough space. This villa was perfect: 3 bedrooms (2 bedrooms with 1 king bed each + 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds) and 2 bathrooms. Plus there was another detached bedroom with bathroom, perfect for a guest. The house has also a beautiful patio and an outdoor oven plus a great swimming pool. The surrounding are just peaceful: the villa is immersed in a very quiet olive tree and almond tree plantations. The thing that I actually liked most was the really nice owner (she sent me various email with explanations and more pics of the property) and the onsite support from a real estate agent (a very nice guy who showed up with a welcome basket when we arrived - the grocery stores were closed so he took care that we had something to eat for dinner in case we were too tired to go out -and fresh croissants when we left plus he was very helpful with suggerstions - like were to find a grocery store- and actual support - we had a tire down). It was my first time renting a house and I was honestly a little bit scared but the owner was so nice and willing to give me all the info that I needed before that I trusted her. And I was right. Thank you Allison and thank you Francesco. I will come back for sure.

The setting was very serene and peaceful with wonderful views and yet was so close to so many of the delightful small towns in the area, e.g. Cisternino, Alberobello and Ostuni to name a few, all with wonderful restaurants. I would certainly return to this unspoiled area of Puglia and have no hesitation in recommending it to other holiday-makers.

This is a beautiful peaceful property with stunning views. To wake up to glorious sunshine, breakfast on the terrace with spectacular views over the olive groves and wild flowers is my idea of heaven. Although completely quiet villa Mandorle is only an 8 min drive to the pretty town of Cisternino where you can find lovely shops and great restaurants including Sant' Anna where you must taste the Antipasti, wow. There are plenty of places to visit, but we especially enjoyed Ostuni and Alberobello. Its lovely to return for a swim in the glorious pool later on in the afternoon. For those who like beaches, 20 minutes brings you to the coast. I can't wait to go back
