We have stayed in multiple VRBO’s in the past and quite frankly have enjoyed our stays at all of them. Generally they were very good to excellent. However, none approached the quality and personal service that Marg and Ted provided us from booking inquiries, our need to change dates due medical issues, or a hands on minor repair by Ted. Both of them take personal service to a new level. The casita is extremely comfortable with high end finishes and decorated with thought. Marg stocked the cupboards with any item you might need for cooking a meal. We chose to make French Toast one morning. I forgot about vanilla…but with a little searching…there it was! Upon entering we were gifted with treats to start our stay. The homemade bread was sooo good! We had a relaxing three weeks, enjoying many mornings, afternoons and evenings on the balcony listening to the numerous birds and watching the sunset. The casita is an easy 30 minutes to activities in Tucson and within 15 or so minutes to great hiking areas. All in all, this was a lovely vacation! 5 thumbs way way up! 👍👍👍👍👍

We have stayed at a lot of different condos in the complex over the years. They've all been very nice, but this one is far and away the best. It's well-stocked, immaculate, beautifully furnished, and everything works. Comfortable beds, plenty of storage space, bathrooms and kitchen are clean and fully-equipped. The location is perfect, with a gorgeous sunset view of the mountains from the balcony. Margaret and Ted are great hosts, responding within minutes to our questions. This is our new go-to place in Oro Valley. Joe and Cathy C.

We hit the jackpot! Super clean, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom - perfect! Special touches such as a bottle of wine, home-baked bread, jam, and a special welcome note were wonderful! We liked it so much after the first few hours we called the owners and booked for next year. The owners stopped by during our stay, what a delightful couple - we were like old friends in no time. Looking forward to next year!

The condo was beautifully decorated and so well stocked for our stay. The owners thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable, including fresh baked bread and a bottle of wine! I would highly recommend this property.

There may not be enough superlatives to describe our stay. Marge is an exceptional host who goes above and way beyond to make her guests feel welcome. The condo was very clean and had so many thoughtful touches. Blankets on the deck (Tucson was cold), multiple ways to make great coffee and bikes in the garage. We had family in Oro Valley so the location was ideal. The deck overlooks the preserve so it feels very private. We use VRBO frequently and have been pleased in the past. We were more than pleased with this condo.

Our stay was wonderful. We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and this one was by far the most well appointed and comfortable. It has everything one could possibly need. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We will be staying there again.

I would definitely stay here again. There was a nice welcome basket with goodies in it, check in was easy and the place was clean and cozy. Great Place!!!

The casita is so great that we are repeat visitors. Having a student at UofA means we are visiting Tucson several times a year. This is our first choice if it is available, and it should be yours too! Clean, quiet, comfortable, beautiful area, well maintained, nice little extras....it's all here. Marg always checks in to make sure everything is perfect, she really cares about the property and her guests.

Our first VRBO was an exceptional experience! Property better than advertised with stocked basic supplies and welcome gift! Very clean and comfortable. Friendly owner took interest in our comfort and needs. Hope to stay again!

Our experience couldn’t have gone better. Sweet Desert Retreat lived up to it’s name in every way and we would definitely return. Oro Valley is easy to get around with plenty to do. The old golf course behind the apartment was a fun and interesting place to walk. Our host was responsive and gracious!!

Having two king bedrooms with en suite bathrooms worked well for us and another couple. Kitchen had everything and living room with TV and fireplace was very comfortable. Balcony had four chairs for us to enjoy some beautiful sunsets and watch a group of javelinas that came around one evening. We had easy access to 5+ mile walking path around a defunct golf course which is becoming a nature conservatory. The large pool area with large hot tub and BBQ grills was a short walk from our building. Safeway, Walmart and many good restaurants were 5-10 minutes away. We enjoyed the hiking trails in Saguaro NP, Catalina SP and Totolita Mtns that were as close as 15 minutes. The communication with the host was excellent. Keyless, self-checkin was great.

It was the best VRBO we’ve ever experienced. Our host went above and beyond with special touches and well stocked items. Such a treat! I highly recommend it to anyone.

Very fun beautiful condo w great view

We spent four nights at this beautiful condo in Tucson - comfortable, clean, and well stocked with little extras you may have forgotten to bring. Lovely view from the back deck. We would gladly stay here again!

Open the door to this top floor casita and you will be drawn into it's comfy cozy charm. Everything is well maintained and very clean with pretty much all you need to feel like you own the place. The pictures are very accurate, what you see is what you will get....but better! This place has a very good vibe. We arrived late in the evening and were delighted to find the lights and AC on, ready for us to settle in. Even better there was coffee and creamer and a breakfast bread for the morning so we did not have to pop right up and head to the grocery, super! Patio rockers were used every morning to enjoy the view and observe the wildlife in the green space off the deck. There are miles of well maintained cart paths right out the door that used to be a golf course but now is the greenspace. I ran them just about every day, but there are also 2 bikes in the garage to use. Oro Valley is a very nice part of Tucson and was perfect as our base to explore the area.

Our stay in Sweet Desert Retreat was the best VRBO experience that we have ever had. Margaret in an incredible host. She replied promptly to any questions we had, she checked in via text during our stay to see if we needed anything, and she even had a loaf of freshly baked bread and jam waiting for us! The property was immaculate and fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The unobstructed mountain view from the kitchen and balcony was breathtaking, especially at sunset, and the location was great, close to shopping and restaurants. I cannot say enough about how wonderful everything was. We will definitely stay at Sweet Desert Retreat again!

One of the best We have stayed in. The owner went above and beyond. We had a Uhaul we needed to park overnight and she actually found a spot and took pics to give us an idea of the area. The place was immaculate and well furnished and supplied. If there was a 6 star rating this property and owner deserve it!

We have stayed in several VRBO properties and this was our best experience ever. The kitchen and bathrooms are more well-stocked than our own home! The condo is furnished beautifully and is a great location for sitting on the back patio, drinking your morning coffee, while observing the desert wildlife and mountains. When we come back to check on the progress of the build of our house, we will definitely request to stay here again. A++

This home is lovely in every way. It is very comfortable and the owner has thought of every detail. Perfect place to hang out and enjoy the weather and perfect location to explore Tucson. We had a great stay.

Our recent stay at this property proved to be nothing short of phenomenal! From the booking process onward, working with Margaret was such a pleasure! She was very prompt in her responses to our emails and made the check in seamless... Upon our arrival, we were overwhelmed with the overall beauty and cleanliness of our casita! We had never been in a VRBO so well stocked in every room! Margaret was in constant communication with us to make certain things were going well.. the unit was quiet in a great neighborhood with walking paths readily available. Location was such that nothing was very far away. We had a most positive experience during our one week stay, and thank Margaret for all she did to make that happen!

This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo was perfect for us. The condo is not only well furnished, but was stocked with all of the comforts of home. We were fortunate to meet the owners and can't say enough nice things about them. We would definitely stay here again when traveling to Tucson. Oro Valley is a beautiful area with walking/running paths and many parks. Close to grocery stores and shopping.

My friend and I participated in a AGA tournament and where delighted to see how close this condo was to the course and grocery shopping. The place was extremely clean and had everything you could ever think of needing including zip lock bags for storing snacks for the golf course. We are hoping to plan another trip this spring and stay at the same location.

Amazing home and hosts. From the beginning Margaret and Ted (hosts) were very accommodating. We even extended our stay. The condo was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. It was exactly what we were looking for. The mountain views and the wildlife activity from the outdoor patio were absolutely amazing. We would recommend this home to anyone.
