We really enjoyed watching the rain from the porch

The photos don’t do the river view justice. The backyard/river is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and our 2 kids (10 & 12) rented it for a lazy riverside week and we all had a great time. The kids paddle boarded, we all canoed, and we rented a pontoon boat on the lake. The backyard was full of wildlife and the kids loved the fireflies that lit up at night. Definitely worth it!

This was our third time staying at this house. It is absolutely perfect. AND we are going back two more times this year. It is exactly as the pictures show. Whether just 2 people or all 6, it's hands down the best house we've ever stayed in for the river. It is directly on the river with very easy access. A gently sloped hill leads down to a nice deck with ladder access to the water. It's above the horseshoe so it's not as crowded as the rest of the river. Less than a 5 mile drive to White Water/The Horseshoe. Clean, spacious, pet friendly, well stocked, and GREAT location!! And the neighbor is super sweet, so be nice to her! This is our place from here on out. You won't regret staying here!!

Great spot on the river. Hanging on the dock is as relaxing as it looks. Convenient location for any needs. Short drive to Wimberly/Gruene/New Braunfels. The host is nice and easy to reach.

The place was awesome, I just have a small note. Two of the bedsheets, were stained with blood, it looked old, but it is not good business politics to provide the guest with stain bedroom wear.

The property/location/amenities were exactly as listed. This property is such a great place for a nice relaxing getaway, we just wish we could’ve stayed longer! Being right on the river, you couldn’t ask for anything more peaceful! Will certainly look at booking this property again!

We were looking for a last minute getaway for Thanksgiving break. My teenage son had knee surgery a few weeks ago, which cut his football season short and left us with unexpected free time. We made some great memories and enjoyed spending time in nature. The house is very clean, well equipped and the street is very quiet. My son could get up and down the hill to the dock on crutches to sit and fish, and my other two active kids had plenty to do as well. We took turns riding in the canoe, kayak and paddle board and fished from the dock too. We toasted s’mores by the campfire and played card games at night. It was a huge bonus that our dogs could join us! From swimming to sniffing around to playing ball nonstop, I think they had the most fun of everyone in the family! I’m so glad they were with us! Other people have mentioned Granny D’s - DEFINITELY put that on your to do list! You won’t be disappointed!

Nice. Relaxing. Comfortable.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this beautiful property hidden off the beaten path of the Guadalupe River. We loved the location on the river and the kiddos enjoyed the canoe, kayak and paddle board that was included. property owners were very responsive and easy to deal with....We plan to come back next year and years to come!!!

We stayed here twice this summer. It's perfect! What you see in the pictures is what you get! The house is clean, comfortable, well stocked and spacious. River access is very easy and clean!! If you've tried finding places directly on the water, you know it can be a challenge getting down there sometimes. This is a steady, manageable slope, with a nice dock over the water. This part of the river is very quiet and beautiful with very little float traffic. The neighborhood is nicely kept and the few neighbors we saw were very friendly. The host is quick to respond and easy to communicate with. 5 minutes from the horseshoe tubing places and Whitewater Ampitheater. Maybe a 15 minute drive to Gruene. This will definitely be our go to place in the future.

This place was perfect for our family of 6. The house is larger than we expected. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house had everything we needed and more including the kayak, canoe, and floaties. We cannot wait to come back!

This is a great property on a really nice part of the river. I stayed there with my wife our 2 adolescent boys and our 165 lb Brazilian Mastiff(Fila Brasilero) Max. We had a great time. The river just behind the home is deep and calm making it perfect to just jump in and swim. Five minutes away are places where guests can rent tubes or rafts and be picked up down river. The way the house is built on the slope down to the river gives one the feeling of being in the tree tops while relaxing on the rear deck. In the mornings and evenings deer calmly stroll around and birds of all types fly by in the tree tops. The kitchen is well stocked with all sorts of appliances to cook pretty much anything you want. The beds are very nice and comfortable. There is an HEB and a Walmart 20 minutes away. It's a really great place to spend time with your family. The only thing that I would have changed is I should have reserved it earlier in the year so I could have rented it for more time. We will absolutely be returning next summer for a week or more.

Great getaway with the family. Nice spot and conveniently close to the lake and to float. We spent time doing both! The neighborhood is quite and our next door neighbor was nice enough to bring us watermelon. We loved our time at this property and will be back.

The house was nice and cool when we arrived. It is hard to find properties that allow larger dogs so thankfully, we were able to bring our 2 dogs. We hung out on the dock and cooled off in the river during the excessive summer heat. As others have noted, the bank is steep so it is a little difficult to get the dogs in and out of the water. They did enjoy the big yard. We grilled on the deck and enjoyed listening to music on the JBL speaker. Saw lots of deer, various birds and even a fox. Relaxing stay! We only used one of the bedroom; mattress was comfortable. Location allowed us to easily visit Gruene, New Brauenfels, and Wimberley.

The location was perfect from everything especially the Whitewater Amphitheater and from town. We loved how deep the water was and spent all day on the river. The house was gorgeous inside and out and very roomy.

Our family had an amazing stay over Christmas. The house was immaculately clean. They even left us chocolate and wine. The view is incredible!!!!!! We hope to come back in the summer.

Very peaceful

Better in person than the photos even! Very clean! Fun to hang out on the dock. Very quiet neighborhood. Deer watching opportunities are great! We met our daughter who drove down from college in DFW for a weekend and enjoyed our time at the house! Just one thing, the third bed is an air mattress and both bathrooms are INSIDE the other two bedrooms. Mattresses in bedrooms are very comfortable.

Overall we enjoyed our stay the property with our 2 larger dogs. (If you’re bringing dogs - be aware that the spot to get out of the water for them is a little steep. Take caution with older dogs.) also - there is NO fencing in the property. There are quite a few deer families out dogs wanted to run over and say hi too 😬 so we leashed them to and fro the water. Communication with owner is best via phone call- not text. We took advantage of the water area, the hubs cast his fishing pole every morning - which he really loved. We went down the River in the canoe. The kayak had a broken seat so we weren’t able to use that one. The hubs also got on the SUP. Make note that these toys are easy to get in the water - but a little tough to get out of the water with the incline out of the water. Bring water shoes- the bottom of the River is rocky in most areas. The ladder to get in and out of the water is very easy to use. We also thought we should have brought a cart of some kind - to haul cooler, radio, fishing pole, dogs towels..etc up and down the hill from house to water. At the house we liked the use of the washer- dryer and we cooked our meals every night. Set off the smoke alarm a few times - until we learned what a down draft vent hood was. Ha. Strangely, the porch light bulbs were getting unscrewed. We believe it to be the neighbor who has their bedroom right there - but odd none the less. Also - to no fault of the owners, there is construction of a new home going on across the water. They don’t start till 9 and finish up at about 4 each weekday. No work done on weekends while we were there. We found the home to be centrally located - we went to Overlook Park a few days and enjoyed Granny D’s on our last morning for breakfast. Overall we enjoyed our visit though and would rent again.

Great house on the river. Came to town with friends for the Turnpike Troubadours concert. House is 5 minutes from the Whitewater Amphitheater. Great location! House was very clean and wide open. Nice deck on the river with a gas fire pit. Would love to come back when we have more time to take the canoe out. Make sure you go eat at Granny D's...you won't regret it! Will definitely look in to coming back to this property.

We have a GSP (very active breed) and there was ample enough space for him to run, jump in the river, ride on the paddle board with us or just lay down on the deck while we enjoyed conversation and music by the propane fireplace. We hung out mostly at the dock and on the upstairs patio grilling and listening to music on the big JBL speaker provided.

This is our second visit. We love the wide open spaces inside and the access to the river.

The home was very clean with two master rooms. Third “room” is an air mattress . River views very nice. River averages 52-degrees so it’s very cold. We ended up going to the lake for some water fun. All-in-all it’s a nice location and very clean.

This is a great place to stay and play on the river, close to the Whitewater ampitheatre!

The house was, I thought, better than the pics, and it’s hard to capture how beautiful the river is. We loved having the dock out the back door, using the kayak and canoe and tubing down the river. The trees between river and house are magnificent old pecans. Angela answered my calls and emails immediately for advice on tubing, etc. Beds were comfortable. Everything worked. Neighborhood is very quiet. And there’s much wildlife—deer, armadillos, lots of ducks, hawks, etc. Thanks, Angela, Bryan and Ben for a great week on the river!

The house was great. Perfect location. Beautiful spot on the river and very close to concert venue at the horseshoe. Nice neighborhood. Beds comfortable and bathroom nice and roomy. Rooms dark for great nights sleep. Had all cooking things we needed but if a bigger group may need more and only minus was stove wasn’t great. But I give it 5 stars even with that!!!
