If you are looking for a rental that literally has everything except your clothes, then this is it! There was nothing we needed that this property didn’t have—and there were 10 of us (some needier than others…) The house was cute, the location was serene, and the lake was perfect. Such a fun getaway for our group of 4 adults and 6 kids (ages 8-14). Everyone was kept busy with fishing, swimming, boating and relaxing by the firepit. It was the best way to close out our summer, and Lori was a great host! Would highly recommend!

Our stay at The Huckleberry House was Pure Michigan. Loving everything that Dewey Lake had to offer, we even took time to visit the beaches of Lake Michigan. Huckleberry House had all the comforts of home. Lori, my family had an amazing time.

My husband & I, along with our dog, celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary with a trip to Huckleberry Lane & it was perfect! Early morning coffee on the deck, walks around the lake & fishing off the pier while enjoying all that nature had to offer on the channel. We also rented the pontoon which was definitely a nice add. We floated, made trips to the sand bar to cool off & watched the sunsets. The house was cute, comfortable & had all the accommodations needed. Lori was great at communicating with us. And we really enjoyed our stay.

From start to finish, Lori and Huckleberry House impressed us! We immediately felt welcomed and comfortable. The cottage is extremely clean and furnished like a dream. Whatever we needed, Lori had on hand — from plenty of towels to the smallest safety pin for our daughter’s blouse. We will most definitely be back for a return visit!

Lori answered any questions we had along the way. The house was comfortable and felt like home away from home. We loved the screened porch in the mornings. We paid extra for the boat and the family loved it! It was well worth the extra cost. Thank you for letting us stay at your cute lake house!

Wonderful home in a great location. This home was extremely well equipped and we were appreciative of all the extras that were available to us. The boat was a real treat we had lots of fun on the lake. Thank you for a great vacation!

Very nice place with all the amenities and access to the lake.

Property was as expected with the exception of some minor repair needed in the kitchen. Sadly, the weather didn’t cooperate so we didn’t get to take full advantage. The owner was very timely in communication and a pleasure to work with.

It was really nice working with the owner. The house was clean and rooms as described. Great option to rent the boat for the weekend and awesome location being right on the channel to the lake. We would stay here again!

We found Huckleberry House to be exactly as described. This cottage had everything needed for our annual friend's get together. Beautifully decorated and stocked. They thought of everything. Can't wait to return.

We had a wonderful stay during the week of our son's wedding. We were surrounded by friends and family, and when it was too much we could stay at our sweet little cottage and spend quiet time in nature before reconnecting. The cottage has every convenience and is comfortable, spacious and private. We will be back someday!

We had a wonderful time enjoying Lake Dewey at Huckleberry House. My husband and I and our dog celebrated our first anniversary enjoying peaceful lake life. It was expected to rain a good part of our time there but we didn’t see a drop! We rented the Pontoon and that made the trip for us. That said if it rained there are things to enjoy in the area and host Lori has a great deal of flyers and information available. I have never seen as much much detailed information provided before. It is all put together to help you enjoy your stay. Great touch! For us the best part of the stay was the lake. We loved the Pontoon and kayaks. The lake is clean the channel the house sits on is naturally weedy. We caught fish off the pontoon and off the pier on the channel. We took the pontoon over to the sandbar marked on the lake with flags. We enjoyed lunch there and swam. Thanks Lori for your communication and hospitality! Our trip was exactly what we needed except one more day would have been great!

We had a wonderful time staying at Lori’s property. She did a great job of communicating everything both before we arrived and was meticulous in communicating about the house and area. The house was clean and beautifully decorated and had a perfect view of the water. We had a great time and hope to come back again!

We loved our stay in the house along with the use of the boat. We made a lot of friends at the sandbar, aka the island. Loved the restaurants and breweries. We brought our bikes and loved biking around on the quiet roads. Can't wait to stay here again.

This house has everything you need. Lori answered every question in minutes. The boat is top of the line. We enjoyed the lake and the sand bar. I totally recommend this house!

This is such a great place to stay! We had a great week. They have all of the amenities you could need during your time here. Communication was great and we always got fast replies. Overall we had one of the best stays we’ve had at Dewey in a while and would love to come back and stay at Huckleberry House.

Great property. The house provided all the comforts and Lori was amazing responding to questions and concerns. We included the pontoon boat with our reservation, the boat is very clean and well maintained. It made the stay much more enjoyable. We will visit this property again.

I truly can't say enough good things about this property and it's owner Lori. My wife found this gem over a year ago and booked it for a week in mid-June. We had a fantastic time not only at the house but out on Lake Dewey everyday as we rented her pontoon boat that's docked right at the house too. I decided to book a return trip during Memorial Day week this year only to find out this Spring that my wife had also booked Lori's place for a week in mid-June again. So, we went with my early June one and spent 5 nights there. Return trip was great and Lori just got a new pontoon boat delivered that we rented again to be out on the lake everyday...and it was well worth it!!! Worth mentioning is that we have 8, 6, and 4-year old children and this house is setup to the max for families and entertainment too. From the double kids bunk room (4 beds) to the huge flat-screen TV to the screened in porch for games on a rainy afternoon to a terrific fire pit on side of house for some bonfires and smores! Lastly, there's Lori the owner. Incredibly responsive and only a text away whenever we had a question or a request! A+ Service for an A+ Lakehouse. Thanks again for everything!!!

Huckleberry House was excellent! We loved the proximity to everything and being able to rent the pontoon boat. Lori was great with communicating and very helpful! We would definitely recommend Huckleberry House to anyone!

Such a great Dewey Lake location (channel side). We loved the attention to details - dog bowls, smart tv, detailed house notes, charging station, kayaks & kcups etc. Communication with Lori was a breeze too. We did not use the pontoon this time but that would’ve been a neat add on. Can’t wait for our next trip to Michigan. Thanks Lori!

Everything about the property was just perfect. Lori was great at communicating everything to me as well. The atmosphere was great, being on the channel of the lake was perfect - quiet and relaxing!

Rented for my daughters, so they could get ready for the wedding we were hosting across the street. Roomy, bathroom lighting great, open & roomy kitchen, living room. Bedrooms were nice sizes. Beautiful!!

Beautiful, peaceful location with responsive host!

It was a wonderful, relaxing getaway. The lake was beautiful, the beach was fun, the boat was enjoyable, and the town was super cute. We visited a few restaurants and the nostalgic ice cream shop, all were fantastic. The views are breathtaking, especially the warm sunsets. The lake house was quaint and cozy. From sitting on the patio or around the firepit, it was a great trip with family and friends. The house makes you feel comfortable and it lets everyone have they’re own space and then brings us all together in one short vacation. It was a memorable and fabulous stay.

Home was clean and comfortable

Lori was great. Had a few questions early during our stay, and she responded within minutes. We had 6 adults and 3 children and our dog, and there was plenty of room. They had a nice sand beach for the grandkids, and it was about a 3 minute walk. The screened in porch at night was perfect when the kids went to bed. We could play games and not worry about waking the younger ones up. We did the pontoon package; the fishing was good.Very enjoyable time for all.
