What an absolutely beautiful location this home has. The view is breathtaking. There were a total of 6 adults on this trip and the home was plenty spacious enough. We enjoyed that gorgeous view in the mornings, afternoons and at night looking at the lights of Castellammare de Golfo and Palermo. I could hear the waves crashing from the open window in the bedroom.I LOVED that. The home itself is extremely clean and furnished with everything you could possibly need; glasses, dishes, towels, extra pillows and even wine to purchase if you set that up before hand. The living room is inviting and cozy, the kitchen is fully functional with toaster, blenders and more. The bedrooms had shelving, air conditioning and fans and were very comfortable. The deck where we spent many evenings just relaxing is absolutely amazing!!The location itself on the West coast was ideal for us. One great feature is that its close to Scopello Market. We picked up food, snacks, wine, pastries, sandwiches, salami, proscuitto, peach juice etc there. Very convenient. At night we took a 5 minute ride to Scopellos tiny city center to enjoy casual dinners after our busy days. During the week we were there we went to Erice (1 hour), Trapani (50 minutes), Cefalu (2 hours..and not to be missed!) and Agrigento (2 hours). Castellammare de Golfo is about 15 minutes away and Palermo airport is only 50 minutes away. The home was in the perfect position for us to enjoy day trips with our rental car. The house is located on the border of the Zingaro Reserve and I highly suggest you hike this. Its a tad strenuous and there are steep parts but the payoff of seeing the views is worth it. You can walk there or I would suggest parking the car below because its quite steep returning to the house. Alfonso is VERY very nice and helpful. From before we left for the trip with all my questions to us trying to find the house (its not hard once you know where it is! :) to answering other questions he was wonderful. I would highly recommend this home on the west coast, away from all the craziness of the bigger cities. The view is so beautiful - today is our first day back and it was so sad not waking up to the ocean. I think Im going to print up one of my beautiful photos and put it on my bedroom wall so I can ALWAYS wake up to that view. From the moment Alfonso greeted us at his beautiful villa we felt relaxed and very happy with our choice. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped. The outside space is the highlight with beautiful gardens and a cooling plunge pool with views across the bay. Scopello is a short drive away and very picturesque with plenty of good restaurants and bars, some with sea views. The nature reserve is just down the hill and there are a number of lovely beaches nearby. We would definitely like to return.

We booked our holiday with relatively little knowledge of Sicily or the specific location of Scopello, but were lucky enough to find ourselves possibly the most relaxing holiday ever! The location of the villa was perfect for us, as we wanted to combine a bit of adventurous activity (which we found by walking in the nature reserve) with easy access to restaurants and more accessible beaches when we didn't want to walk too far. Scopello village is a traditional delight, and we were amazed at the range of restaurants and bars for such a small place with a limited online presence.The villa itself had everything we needed, with the variety in the outdoor space being the key to our enjoyment. We used the pool (which i would class as a dipping, rather than swimming pool), barbeque and pizza oven during our stay, and were able to vary where we sat, relaxed and ate depending on the weather, because of the many options provided. One of the reasons we picked the specific villa was because of the pictures of the view, but the pictures really do not do justice to the reality. The view is simply magnificent, day and night, and once the children were in bed we spent many evenings just admiring the view across the bay with drink in hand. Alfonso is the ideal host- he was there when we needed him to help us find the villa when we arrived very late in the evening and got a bit lost, provided us with some fantastic local traditional food as a surprise, was contactable at all times and helpful when required, but otherwise let us get on with enjoying the property to ourselves. We often say the world is too small a place to go to the same place on holiday twice, but are seriously considering going back to Scopello and Palma del Zingaro again in the future.

Alfonso is a very sweet, hjælsom and accommodating host. We felt welcome immediately. The house is cozy and charming and has what you need. The location is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views. The area around Scopello is perfect for excursions. Nature is beautiful and there are good restaurants in Scopelly city. We give this property the best recommendations!

We had 7 lovely nights at this villa. It has unrivalled views over the sea, coast, mountains and the Zingaro Nature Reserve. The internal living areas are small but adequate with a good bathroom and useful second toilet. There is a good range of equipment in the kitchen too. It is the outdoor patios and spaces that make this house special however. The views are spectacular and the outdoor bbq and pizza oven are great for eating outside. There are also 2 cold-water showers in the gardens which are great for cooling down. Scopello, the nearest village, has a good selection of restaurants and a nice gelateria, bakery and coffee shop. There is a very good supermarket/deli a short drive away. The owner, Alfonso, was very pleasant and helpful and gave us a very thorough tour of the house on arrival. There are some nice touches in the house like a rack full of local wines at extremely reasonable prices. There were also some basic supplies already in the house eg coffee, oil etc. All in all, it's a great place to spend a few days.

Мы с друзьями провели здесь 2 недели в октябре. Описание на сайте дает уже немалое и достоверное представление о расположении виллы и красоте окружающей природы, но действительность превзошла все ожидания, начиная с дороги, ведущей к вилле - такая крутизна подъема, что дух захватывает! Кстати, по навигатору ( и по предварительному ознакомлению с дорогами в Google maps) доехали без всяких проблем за мин 40-45 из аэропорта в Палермо. И первое впечатление -А-ааа-х ! - какая красотища кругом и все в твоем распоряжении - оснащенная всем необходимым вилла( даже есть русские каналы на телевизоре и , конечно, WiFi), огромнейшая территория вокруг ( сад,терраса и площадка с беседкой и лежаками). Никого вокруг!!! Тишина... и шум моря и ты один наедине с природой! До ближайшей бухты можно добраться и пешком - туда легко, под горку, обратно значительно сложнее, т.к. приходится преодолевать крутой подъем под палящими солнечными лучами.Зато вместо зарядки очень полезно! Рядом Зингаро-парк, там тоже сплошная зарядка при хождении по тропам вверх-вниз, зато за ваши труды будете вознаграждены и наслаждением видеть всю красоту пейзажей , и купанием в многочисленных первозданных бухточках!...Поблизости от виллы и замечательный городок Трапани, рядом с ним белый пляж Сан Вито ло Капо и на вершине горы старый Эриче( чего только не стоит дорога туда!). Интересно съездить в Агридженто и по дороге заехать на белые скалы. А можно просто валяться на галечном пляже в Кастельмаре дель Голфо - это 5 мин езды на машине, а чуть подальше в Алкамо - длиннющий песчаный пляж! С питанием тоже никаких проблем - супермаркет один рядом, другой Simply чуть подальше в Кастельмаре дел Голфо, там же утром открыт рыбный рынок. Нам понравилось пиццерия-ресторан Michel's на обзорной площадке при выезде из Кастельмаре в нашу сторону. Мы наслаждались здесь не только природой, воздухом, впечатлениями, но и необыкновенно вкусной едой в виде сыров, морепродуктов, овощей и фруктов и местных вин, которые можно купить прямо из бара. У нашего хозяина собрана коллекция лучших местных вин. Так что выбор интересов и возможностей здесь огромный как для любой компании (независимо от возраста), так и для семей с детьми. При одном условии аренды машины. И спасибо еще раз Алфонсо за предоставленную возможность такого прекрасного отдыха , за его советы и помощь! Будем рады еще раз приехать и всем советуем! We spent here 2 amazing weeks in the beginning of October. All was perfect - kind and attentive owner Alfonso who is ready to help at any moment, cozy and comfortable villa with breathtaking sea view and huge terrace and garden , close to wonderful reserve Zingaro where you can spend all day walking along narrow trails and going down to swim in small bays with crystal clear water! We liked the beach in Castellammare del Golfo and San Vito lo Capo. We travelled a lot across Sicily but every time much more pleasant thing was our coming back to our villa!!! The villa was perfect and had incredible views - wake up early to watch the sun rise - it's amazing. It was so peaceful on top of the bay overlooking everything. Alfonso was the perfect host and was so kind in sorting out a small problem we encountered - he is our best sicilian friend now! It was a shame not to say goodbye but maybe we will visit again one day. He also provides a good range of wines to try and you pay as you drink. There is also an outside kitchen with gas hobs and sinks and also there is a barbeque if you prefer. If it is hot, then only walk to the first beach in the nature reserve as it is beautiful. The reserve costs 5 Euro each with no discounts for young people apart from proof of being a student and avoid the weekend if possible - you can see the free car-park from the villa so you can make sure there is space when you drive down the hill. The local beach below the villa is fine but you pay a euro an hour to park which is ok and we fould the western end to be nicest as there was smaller shingle into the sea. Make sure you bring snorkels as there are fish everywhere. Alfonso provides beach towels and an umbrella and ice blocks to help keep your drinks cool. Take a 20 minute walk to Scopello in the evenings for meals or drinks - we went to the restaurant and the bar in the Baglio which was lively and fun and the cafe outside is great for breakfast and cold granitas. The supermarket just outside Scopello provides enough for most needs and has good bread and a deli counter for meat and cheeses etc. If you visit the Tonnara, park above it and arrive early to grab some chairs as otherwise you will put your towel on the concrete which is still ok because the view is so pretty There are drinks and snacks available from vending machines. San Vito is well worth a day trip for the big sandy beach and I recommend paying for the lido chairs for this beach - it's worth it. Segesta is worth visiting and make sure you also buy a ticket for the bus service up to the amphitheatre - it's quite a walk - the views are amazing and bring your passports for discounts for young people. Erice was ok for the views but not worth the drive so maybe combine this with San Vito or Segesta and certainly don't bother paying to go round the Norman castle. Avoid visiting Palermo by car and if possible get an automatic hire car so it is easier to go up the steep tracks to the villa.Thank you so much Alfonso and don't be too hard on your son - he will grow up just fine!

We went there at the end of September 2013 and it was one of the best vacations we have ever had! Regardless if you want a romantic getaway or a family holiday – this is the place to go to; and for many reasons: o Stunning panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding hills o Beautiful, modern and fully equipped house o Charming garden and terrace with gazebo overlooking the sea o Close proximity to Lo Zingaro natural reserve and Scopello village It is hard to describe the beauty of this place; we can only say that every day we had to make big efforts to leave it in order to visit other places in Sicily ? The free WiFi was a big plus that allowed us to plan the next day trips to historic places like Erice, sandy beaches like San Vito lo Capo or wild beaches like Macari. Alfonso (the owner) is a great and welcoming host and made us feel at home from the first moment we arrived. This place will remain in our hearts and is definitely somewhere we will go back to. We spent nearly 2 weeks in this beautiful place. The house is clean, well equipped and maintained. The garden and terraces with the plants look even better than in photos. The views from terrace and balcony are fantastic especially in the early morning. A lot of space for entire family activities and at the same time you can find “hidden” places if you need time for yourself – that was very important for our family with 3 kids. The area is really safe for children – a lot of space to run around, to play or just watch … the lizards! It takes about 5 minutes by car to reach Scopello – very cozy village with a lot of good places for lunch or diner, good market with local products, fresh fruits and vegetables. Our favorite sandy beach was at Castellamare di Golfo – just about 15 minutes to drive. Erice, Segesta – nice and interesting places in a short time drive. The owner Alfonso is very helpful and warm as well as other Sicilian people we met. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to visit this place once again.

Arrived to stormy weather. Drove to Scopello where Alfonso met us and showed us the way to the villa. He had lit us a fire and showed us round the villa apologising for the weather saying it had been 70 to 75 degrees the week before! The villa was clean and well equipped. Took our ipad and the wifi connection was good. The panoramic views from the villa were absolutely fantastic and the garden was full of wild flowers and lovely plants. Well looked after. Would recommend:- The Zingaro Nature Reserve - lovely wild flowers, lizards lazing in the sunshine (the weather did improve) and a falcon flying overhead. The Temple at Segesta - lovely surrounding views Erice - drove up as the cable car wasn't working until later on the day we went. Views at the top were spectacular. Scopello village square at the end of the day to enjoy the last of the sunshine with a coffee and cake. Would definitely recommend staying at this lovely villa.

We fully enjoyed our 7 days at this very special place at the norhwest coast near scopello. The nice well kept house lies high above sea level with fantastic panorama views to the sea, Golfo di castellamare. You can admire the sun rise in the morning,inhale the seabreeze, and in the evening you can choose to sit under the bálcony and be delighted by the whole scenery in front of you, the glittering sea and all the shimmering lights. In the distance you can hear a fishing boat. Otherwise it is very peaceful. There are many fine terrasses, exotic plants, hawaian flowers, burgainvillas, etc.all very well-maintained. The inside is very spacious, beautiful, well organized with a typical charming italian atmosphere. The weather was perfect about 26 degrees each day. You are close to the beaches both inside and outside Lo Zingaro, close to Scopello, many fine restaurants with fine views to the sea and the cliffs, good shopping opportunities, and close to many cultural "musts" f.ex. the amfitheater and the Doric Temple in Segesta and Erice towering 750 m above sea level a wonderful preserved medieval town telling about the first Sicilians, the Elymians. In October there was very little traffic. We found the Sicilians very warm and wellcoming, especially the owner Alfonso is so nice, charming and helpful. He will respond at once if you need some help. We are so much looking forward to return in spring 2013.

The view was the best we have ever had, anywhere, would never tire of looking at that view, every amenity/facility you could ask for, access road was very interesting, and afforded fantastic views on the way up to the house, a visit to Lo Zingaro national park just next door is a must, absolutely beautiful. The local restaurant, 'lo Zingaro' was also a treat, very nice poeople and lovely food, and only 20 mins walk - with children."
