My sisters and I had a wonderful time. The cottage was adorable and had everything we needed. It was a slice of heaven in the trees. The art was so beautiful too. It was close to town but also enjoyed just relaxing around the house. Can’t wait to go back.

This place was super cool and very comfortable. Many thoughtful touches to make for a seamless stay. Would highly recommend, especially if you like staying in a small art gallery. Close (but not quite) walkable to downtown (because no sidewalks), and easy access to local trails. Lovely place and easy communication with owner.

We cannot say enough about our stay at the chalet. Our hostess, the decor, the location were absolutely perfect for a weekend to relax. Everything we needed was provided for and made our stay easy and simple. Every window had a view that made you feel as if you were tucked away in the woods but it was only a 2 minute drive into town. We hope we can make it back - Autumn must be beautiful - thank you Missy😊

Loved the wooded location close to town. House was very comfortable and nicely decorated to reflect the woodsy surroundings. The host was very responsive to any questions I had. It was a lovely four day experience in Highlands.

Perfect spot for a girls' trip! We loved the proximity to downtown (less than 5 five minutes) and local trails. Easy to communicate with host and everything was seamless with our stay. Would highly recommend this VRBO!

The owner of this ArtChalet has made every effort to provide a warm, inviting, tastefully decorated, and fully stocked accommodation that is nestled in a beautiful setting just steps away from the main road into town. The appliances and kitchen gear were beautiful, functional, and made home cooked meals a breeze. Having a laundry room was great! Every detail was lovingly curated for a wonderful home away from home vacation. Plus, there are many wonderful contemporary acrylic paintings hung on the walls that are lively and inspiring to view or purchase!

This was the perfect place for me and the hubby. We wanted a quick getaway to a new location and Highlands was it! This house fit us perfectly! Very clean, stylish, love the location, even saw deer come through the property in the late afternoons. We came in on a Friday afternoon so we hopped across the street to the BBQ joint for dinner and a drink. We ended up sitting at the bar bc it’s full service there. Food and bartender were wonderful! Missy was a wonderful hostess telling us all the hotspots for dining and hiking. We’ll def be back!

We spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Art Chalet and absolutely loved it! The location is central - close to town, art center, waterfalls and hiking trails. The chalet is perfect for quality family time like watching movies or playing games. Plenty of places or read and relax too. The fire pit outside is perfect for cool winter evenings. Don't miss out on the bbq restaurant across the street!

This property was so cute! Perfect for our stay and needs. We loved looking at the art, listening to old records, and lounging outside after a big hike just down the road. Such a unique find and SO close to Main Street.

Property was as advertised. Immaculate and up to date. Exceptional thought and detail in every space. Modern and vintage design with a laid back interior. The art that is on display and for sale adds a bit of whimsy. The master bedroom is the highlight. Great outdoor living spaces. Perfect for a couple or a family with teens. Not for someone with young children or those with mobility issues. Close to town with excellent bbq across the street. . A little road noise but not a major issue for us. Based on this stay we will likely be booking one of Missy’s places in Tybee.

Enjoyed every moment here. I had fun shopping at the chalet, as I’m an art lover and the gallery did not disappoint! Missy’s done an excellent job curating beautiful works from many talented artist! Highlands is an upscale mountain town with wonderful food and fun things to do and this chalet was less than a minute drive into downtown Highlands! 10/10!… I’ll be back!!! + did I mention the cleanliness was 100%!

The Chalet is so well-decorated with lovely updates throughout, and (most importantly) great bedding! There were 3 adults staying on trip, and the Chalet was the perfect size! Short and easy drive to Main Street!

We had a great time on our first visit to the area. The whole rental process was very smooth. Missy is a great host. She reached out before and during our stay. House is very convenient to town(2-3 minute drive to Main Street-if that). House was clean and very well appointed. We did not cook, but the kitchen is very updated and has most everything you would need.

I absolutely loved our stay at Art Chalet!! I am particularly sensitive to the aesthetics of a place and this is so perfectly curated I could have stayed forever :-) You can tell Missy is a visual artist from all the little touches, from the handwritten chalk sign listing restaurants, etc. to the vintage LPs & record player to the lighting. It is well-stocked with amenities and the bed was comfy and lush. I would definitely stay again. Thank you, Missy!

Very convenient to downtown highlands for our girls weekend. The owner was great about communications and you can tell she put all the extra touches into the property. Beds very comfy - felt like we we were at home. Thanks for a great stay!

A simple, clean cozy Cabin right before you enter the town Of Highlands. At first I was concerned that it was on the main road but the traffic is a non issue. The only difficult part is backing in and out so the driveway. Misty is a great host. Very attentive and she has created a great vibe around the Art Chalet. She even has white lights that adorn the outside cabin at night. The second floor where the master is is very cozy for reading, watching TV, sitting out on the deck or gathering. You are across the street from a famous barbecue restaurant which is great fun. The art is wonderful and colorful. Highly recommend. Charlie

Property was cute, modern and clean with lots of different seating areas. Very convenient location but on a main road. However it was not noisy at all. We will definitely be coming back to Art Chalet.

We had a lovely time at the art chalet! Missy includes everything and more that you can think of! The record player and guitar was a hit and walking across the street to eat bbq was an added bonus on the busy 4th of July weekend stay.
