As soon as we walked in deer were visible in the snowy landscape. The cabin was charming and cozy. We really enjoyed time in the whirlpool tub. When we were brave enough to face the subzero temps the hot tub did not disappoint either! The property is beautiful and left us planning our next stay at the Lorelei Cabins.

Very pleasant stay
I really enjoyed this property. Quiet, peaceful, tranquil, and beautiful. The hot tub was lovely. The big bath tub was very relaxing. I brought my RV hotspot and had great reception to do a bit of office work. Highly recommend.

Was good the first night when we got there enjoyed the cabin and hot tub. We really enjoyed seeing the wildlife the next morning when we woke up. We went into dubuque all day the second day and arrived back at the cabin around 6. The wife and I were looking forward to grilling and relaxing in the hot tub, only to find out the hot tub was only half full of water and cold. The owners wouldn't answer their phone at first, finally did and made me fill the hot tub, they were no help as she told me her husband had a meeting and wouldn't be home until 815 (2 hrs later) to check in on us and help us if we needed it. (I figured we would be priority staying in there cabins). That really upset us and figured they would be ok with us using the other cabin hot tub at least since no one was there but would not let us, so we decided to go back in the cabin and fill up the corner tub in the bathroom. That worked good until the tub was 1/4 of the way full then the hot water turned cold... needless to say we were very disappointed the second night and ended up leaving and coming home, we looked forward to going back their with family and friends some day but won't have to worry about that now. Oh and she texted my wife and said everything was good at 930 that night, I'm sorry, I'm on vacation and spent a lot of money for two nights so when I want to sit in a hot tub at 615 I want to sit in it then, not 3 hours and 15 minutes later. I'm glad they are supposed to be refunding us one night at least.

This place is amazing! The cabin was adorable and had all the comforts of home. The owners have added so many extra touches to make this place so relaxing and comfortable. We loved hiking, fishing, watching wildlife, the hot tub, the jet tub, and the amazing view! We saw herons, turkey, deer, a muskrat, hawks, and so many awesome birds. I especially love the care that went into mowing and caring for the hiking trails! We highly recommend this place to anyone!

The house was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed playing cards at the kitchen table and soaking in the hot tub overlooking the fabulous view. The owners were wonderful and were available when you had any questions. Jim provided us firewood for the fire pit promptly when we requested it. Laura was available if we needed to get in touch with her. We would definitely rent this house again. I wouldn't hestitate to book this cabin!

Laura's cabin was one of our best places yet! That atmosphere is amazing and we will be back soon.
We enjoyed our stay from the sun room to the hot tub. Everything was amazing! We will bring our fishing poles with us when we come back. Laura and her husband were great!

Golden Birthday getaway

Great place, isolated but close to everything less than 20 minutes to Sundown Ski. Loved the place would definitely recommend. Laura was a great host!

Lovely cabin in a very picturesque location; my son loved fishing in the little pond behind the cabin where he caught some bass and sunnies.

Magical Place
The cabin is in a beautiful location and so close to downtown amenities. We boated on the pond, enjoyed a bullfrog symphony each night, and enjoyed Dubuque and Galena. We will definitely be back.

I can’t say enough great things about this cabin! They literally thought of everything to make your stay perfect. From hiking, to morning coffee, to the party barn, this is the perfect place to relax, recharge, enjoy time with friends and family. can’t wait to return.

Romantic and Relaxing Getaway for any Anniversary
This was my wife and I's second stay at the cabin. Perfect place to go to getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and share some quality time with the better half. Hot tub was more than relaxing in the cold weather. Close enough to any stores, if needed anything extra. Only 20 minutes away from shopping in Galena. Owners are only a phone call away and will more than oblige any request. Will stay again in the future.

The cabin had everything we needed to make a great weekend. Just wish we had more time (and a little better weather) to enjoy the trails around the property. Will definitely come again and maybe even bring more family next time time:)

The cabins were fully stocked and ready for us along with freshly baked cookies on the table! The hospitality was amazing and everything from the hot tub to kayaking was amazing!

Anniversary
We stayed for an anniversary weekend and I would recommend it for anybody. The cabin has absolutely anything you could need from pots and pans to towels up the wazoo. Very relaxing. Hot tub beneath the stars, amazing! Amazing restaraunts around town. Beautiful views of the river. I love it. All of it. Would come back a million times over.

I rented the Edelweiss cabin Valentine's weekend as a gift for my fiance's birthday. It was our first Valentine's Day together and I wanted something special. It was a brisk cold weekend, but the cabin was cozy and warm. I invited friends over for dinner & we had a grand time! We're already making plans for another weekend and going to bring more friends and rent both cabins. Laura & Jim are wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed.
