Loved the house. Very clean and everything worked fine. We had a great Fathers Day weekend. Really enjoyed the sunset on the Bay - great view from the house and the patio outback was awesome to hang out on. Loved taking outdoor showers.

Did not spent too much time in house due to wedding events

We went for a quick stay during the week! My husband and I had plenty of space and the location was excellent! The house is exactly as advertised and could be great for families or groups of friends. Very close to the beach and the bay, lots of activities, the boardwalk, and places to eat. We’ll definitely be back!

House was clean, well stocked, and good location just far enough away from all of the summer craziness when trying to relax, but close enough to walk to or ride a bike to. Directly across the street is a nice park to get some great sunset pics and let the kids run around. Definitley recommend and would stay at again.

The Blissful Bayside Retreat was a nice and comfortable house for my family of 8. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, only a 10 minute walk to the beach and steps away from the bay. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. Beds were very comfortable, cable tv and great shower. Alyssa responded very quickly to all of my questions. Overall, we loved our stay and highly recommend it.

I’ve been using VRBO and other online vacation rental agents for a dozen years. This is by far the most well-equipped and most comfortable home I’ve rented. We have barely needed a single thing that we didn’t find right here in the house. The furniture is clean and cosy, as are the beds, with plenty of extra blankets and linens available. In addition the host has been so very accommodating, answering questions within minutes and allowing us to extend our stay. I couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect stay.

Blissful Bay Retreat and it definitely lived up to its name. Great location for sunset, tennis and park for kids. Mini golf, arcade and Kohrs ice cream all within walking distance. House had everything you needed and it was neat and clean.

This was our second year renting from Alyssa & Chris! The house was spotless when we arrived and we had a wonderful week! We were so happy with this house that we will be returning for our 3rd year in 2023!

I have been coming to Ortley for 35 years and my family for more. The hosts had a lovely place with good parking and storage for our bikes, SUP, and beach items. Right across from the park with swings and a tennis court. My children loved it. Walked to the boardwalk (about a mile and a half) easy walk. We will definitely consider this property again in the future.

Cute house! We had problems but owner of the property was very responsive. We appreciated her quick response. Kitchen was well appointed, out door shower, clean, upstars great for kids (we had 7-10 year old), close to beach, arcade, mini golf, tenis and pickleball courts. Had a great time.

We love staying in this wonderful CLEAN family home! There is plenty of room to spread out and it includes 1.5 bathrooms and an additional outside shower! We enjoy this area of Ortley Beach - Sunsets every night across the street and a great park for kids and adults (tennis/pickleball courts)! Short walk to the beach with parking if you don't want to walk.

Great stay! Owners were very responsive to any issues or questions. Awesome location for sunset views and beautiful bay morning walks.

My family of four rented this beautiful cottage for a quick spring break trip. We couldn't have been happier. The home is a corner property in a quiet location, yet convenient to everything. Beautiful Sunsets over the bay can be seen from the front windows. There's a park (with benches overlooking the bay across the street), basketball courts, tennis courts, all within 1 block walk. The home was in immaculate condition upon arrival. Very clean and neat. Wonderfully decorated. Each bedroom is surprisingly roomy, and the loft is perfect for a teen who wants their own space. The hosts were outstanding, very accommodating and readily available to help with any needs. The small gift basket and personalized welcome card upon arrival is a touch of class (I won't reveal the contents here and ruin the surprises) Just an overall fantastic experience. We had a great stay over Easter at this property. The home includes everything you need and more and you can’t beat the location. We had excellent communication with the owner and would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed this house. It was roomy and comfortable, had views of the bay, a well stocked kitchen-all the comforts of home but at the beach. It was a great 3-day winter getaway! We’d definitely be interested in staying again!

Great bay views with lots of sunlight, stocked kitchen and peaceful property! It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach and food. Alyssa was friendly and makes checking in easy with the pin keypad for entry! Highly recommended shore getaway.

We enjoyed The Blissful Bayside Retreat (BBR) so very much! This was our opportunity to have our last Thanksgiving, while still living in NewJersey, with our kids, before we move to Florida. We were very fortunate to find the BBR and it met every need for us! The owners made sure we had all we needed to prepare and serve our Thanksgiving dinner. Memories were definitely made! We hope we can come back and stay there again. Our family is very THANKFUL!

Property was exactly as noted in the listing. Extremely clean and very roomy. A great long weekend to enjoy during the fall season in Ortley.

Lovely house in a perfect location. Very clean and although we did not cook, the kitchen was completely stocked. The weather may not have cooperated, but we had a nice, relaxing weekend with lots of family time. So glad we found this gem.

We had a wonderful week at Blissful Bayside Retreat! The house and location were wonderful and we look forward to returning next year!

We love staying in this home. So comfortable for a family, outside shower, 2 sitting areas with TV (loft has half a bath). The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Streets are wide so bike riding is easy. Parking lot for beach is definitely a perk, and park across the street from house is too! You will LOVE it here! We will be returning next year again!

The property sits in a residential area with a short drive to the boardwalk of Seaside Heights. It’s a quiet area so best if you are looking for a relaxing getaway. There were 7 of us; 5 adults and 2 kids (5&8), and we had ample space for all of us. The kids loved the spiral staircase and we were pleased to have the outdoor staircase to carry luggage upstairs. Returning from the beach we used the outdoor shower which was great to have and a comfortable option. The place is adorably decorated and is well stocked with linens, towels, and beach items. The house sits directly across from the bay where we watched the beautiful sunsets from the comfort of the house or on the benches at the water. The beach is an easy half mile walk from the house (the kids did it daily without issue) and the beach passes can also be used for bay swimming at Shelter Cove Park on the other side of the bridge. Just steps from the house is a park with a playscape, basketball, tennis courts and picnic area. I can’t say enough about the owners. Alyssa was easy to work with and answered all my questions about the property and area quickly. We are definitely adding this place to our list to return to and hope you get the chance to experience this quant escape.
