Good points first. The apartment is very clean and homely. Beds comfortable, shower good and Kitchen well equipped. The tram is excellent and just outside the apartment. Seaview is also good from the balcony. Bad points. Check in. We were arriving late and was told that the key will be left in the outside safe. We arrived by taxi at 2am due to BA moving our flight times. We were assured that keys would be ready. But no keys. The out of hours office number did not pick up and we were left on a park bench all night. It was extremely cold and uncomfortable and we were very stressed. We called both out of hours and Joan several times. We finally got an answer at 7.10am and got into our apartment at 7.45 am. We learnt that this system has failed before but no one changed it. It seems all out of hours keys are left in the safe. No one knows which set of keys belong to them. this could of been so easily sorted with keys in an envelope with your name on. In the description of the apartment there is no mention of the hill you must climb to get to your apartment, Or the fact that the swimming pool is just that a swimming pool. There is no where to sit and relax and no food and drink allowed. There is a security guard on the gate letting you in and out watching you. There is only one bar on site not two. The restaurant opening hours are few and if they are not busy they close. So please do not go out for the day thinking you can eat there at night, as it might be shut. Also unless you book on a Sunday you will not get in. Food nice though. It is quiet a long walk to other bars and its along a main road so not a nice walk. So I do not feel its a very good location. Well not for us anyway. The beach is only a 10 minute walk but you have to carry your own chairs and umbrella. Nothing on the beach. The beach bars were not open when we went down there. For us this was hard. My husband has a bad heart and carrying anything is hard on him. Especially the walk back as it was not long but steep. If this had been mentioned at all we would not have booked this apartment. So I tell you all so you can make an informed decision.

As per my previous review 2 years ago we couldn’t praise this apartment enough and it’s still the same, lovely well equipped apartment, super friendly and helpful hosts and a great location. Can’t wait to return.

The description of Joan & Mike’s apartment is spot on, the view is fabulous from their balcony. What you don’t grasp from the description is the attention to detail of their furnishings, it doesn’t feel like a holiday rental it feels like a home. The communication with them both was superb, despite Mike being in hospital at the time of our visit. Another surprise for my wife and I was that despite the fact the apartment is on the 8th floor of what is a typical Spanish residential block the neighbours were extremely respectful and polite and we heard almost no noise at night time. The convenience of the coastal tram stop outside the door is an added bonus that we made use of. After reading the reviews before booking the apartment for 20 days I must say that it didn’t disappoint. The apartment was spacious, well decorated and everything you could possibly need was there. Lovely view of the Mediterranean from the balcony and plenty of seating out there as well. Unfortunately we didn’t have very good weather but there were extra blankets, duvets and two calor gas heaters which were a god send. The apartment is very well situated with a brilliant tram service which stops right outside and is punctual, easy to use and takes you from Alicante to Benidorm. We used it most days and is a must if you haven’t got a car. The beach is just across the road and a lovely coastal walk takes you into the colourful town of Villa Joyosa. The beauty of the situation of the apartment is that it’s in a quiet location but in walking distance of a vibrant town if that’s what you want. The apartment had a plentiful supply of hot water and a washing machine which proved useful. Clear instructions on how to use the washing machine and the television were written down. How to improve the apartment? In our view it can’t be as attention to detail was second to none. We were sad to leave but will definitely return in the future.

This property had everything we required and then some. It had uk tv channels, DVD’s, board games and book for those evenings in. The bedrooms are spacious with lots of wardrobe space, the kitchen was well equipped and spotlessly clean. On the bad side the hot water boiler stopped working but from the time I rang La Viladomus to report this it only took two hours for the service technician to arrive and a half an hour for him to repair it. What a terrific service. The area itself is fabulous with beautiful beaches and a quaint old town with lots of history and charm. Local transportation is great, busses on the hour and trams every half hour. Can’t wait to return.

Apartment is clean, bright and has fantastic views of the sea. Many hours were sat here, even in the evenings. The tram was easy to use and we used it every day except one! The town of Villajoyosa is lovely- quaint, clean and many choices to eat and drink- even in December! The restaurant Sainvi on site was a bonus - we ate there a lot - even on Christmas Day- we were the only English. Overall a fantastic holiday. Thanks to the hosts for your help and quick replies. Our week at Mike & Joan's apartment couldn't have gone much better. We visited as 2 couples and a 2 year old child, so 3 bedrooms was perfect for our needs. From the first contact their communication was excellent, the information regarding directions, key pick up, and the apartment itself was easy to follow and made our check in process seamless despite arriving at 1 am. The apartment - very well appointed, everything we needed was to hand. Being on the 8th floor we had beautiful uninterrupted views of the sea from the balcony, something not afforded to the apartments on the lower floors. Location - the complex is a 5 minute walk to the closest beach; sand and pebbles, with quite a steep shelf into the sea which made swimming there a bit challenging. However, we were just a mile or so from Villajoyosa, it was close enough to be handy but far enough out to be peaceful. it's an easy drive into Villajoyosa to enjoy the wonderful sandy beach, tavernas & restaurants along the seafront. There is a small but well stocked shop on site, along with a bar and restaurant. Getting around - a real 'plus' is the Paradis tram stop, literally 100 yards from the apartment. Running every 30 minutes, you can travel south to Alicante and north to Benidorm, including 2 stops in Villajoyosa itself. Particularly handy for the retail outlets in Finestrat. It's cheap too! A return to Benidorm (or anywhere in-between) is only €2.30. We had a small problem with the safe which Mike & Joan dealt with quickly & efficiently, again with great communication throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. All in all, we were delighted with everything and would thoroughly recommend Mike & Joan's apartment to anyone looking to spend a relaxing holiday in this part of Spain.

This apartment provided everything we were looking for. It was a real home from home and very comfortable. Three good sized bedrooms with comfy beds and good storage space. Well equipped kitchen and a good shower. Lots of drying space for swim wear and the added bonus of deck chairs and unbrella for the beach. We spent most of our time on the fabulous balcony, when in the apartment. I would certainly recommend it. Location at train station also made getting about very easy and cheap.

the property was as advertised and better,everything you needed was there,peace and quiet and busy when we wanted it.the train outside our door took us to everywhere we needed to go.we thank you for making our holiday so remarkable.we wil recomend your apartment to our friends

The apartment is conveniently situated near to the Alicante/Denia tram, it is well equipped and comfortable and there are fabulous views of the sea from the large south facing balcony and of the mountains from the bedrooms. Parking the car is no problem as there is a private parking area for the apartments. The area offers plenty of walking, visiting interesting markets and excellent eating opportunities, all typically Spanish.

This apartment is excellently maintained with every detail covered and more , well furnished and decorated ,was a lovely place to spend our holiday in with my family and the owners joan and mike couldnt do enough for us including leaving a few provisions on our arrival which was a nice touch and telling us the best places to visit . The three bedrooms were spacoius as was the rest of the property but my personal favourite was the balcony with great views of the beach and surrounding areas , i spent many hours there over a few drinks , the area is really nice and quiet with lovely beaches and with the added bonus of the tram right on our doorstep to visit other places if we wanted Would highly reccomend and joan and mike were the best to deal with , so much so we have slready booked for the same time next year

WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY, HAD A GREAT 10 DAYS, PROPERTY WAS LOVELY & CLEAN, LOVELY VIEWS FROM THE APARTMENT OF THE SEA, COULD NOT FAULT ANYTHING.

The only slight issue was that the WiFi was not working

Communication, assistance and information from Michael and Joan was perfect from the initial enquiry regarding their apartment. This is a really smart, well presented home from home apartment with everything you need. It was lovely to find a coffee machine and they even have a slow cooker which we actually used as we ate in most evenings. Michael and Joan also left us some groceries to get us started which was a lovely bonus. The apartment is child friendly but I did find myself moving some of the breakables out of our 3 year olds sight just incase. Sitting on the balcony was a joy and the pool area is just great and was really quiet. Unfortunately we missed a couple of days at the pool over the weekend when the office was closed as we hadn't realised that the lock was the same as the main building. But once we got in there the problem was not being able to coax the little boy out. He just loved the pool, the tram station which is actually on site and being able to get his cartoon channels on the TV. Lovely stay. Thanks so much Michael and Joan.

The apartment is very nice and very clean. Everything you could need for your stay is provided, just like being at home but with the added bonus of nice weather

After arriving very late at night Joan and Mike had organised milk for us so we could have a cup of tea. The apartment was very clean and had the most gorgeous furniture in. It was very spacious. The balcony has got the most fantastic views over the ocean. The bedrooms and kitchen have got views of the mountains and they had snow on them. The tram is 2 minutes walk away and was a godsend as we did not have a car. Villajoyosa town was one stop away on the tram, which had a beautiful beach, lovely parks and restaurants. We visited the Valor chocolate factory which was fun, especially the free samples at the end. We went by tram to Altea which was 4 euros return(very cheap) and it was well worth the visit, very quaint and pretty. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely apartment and I hope to visit it again in the summer.

Everything you could want in an apartment and superbly equipped. The tram stop on the site was great as the area is quiet at this time of year and for a couple of euros return you can travel to all the local areas inc Benidorm itself. Villajoyosa was probably our favorite as it is not as busy and beautiful with lovely beaches

Very good apartment with everything you could want. The owners had thought of everything. Lovely views over the sea. The 2 local beach bars were very good and the people very friendly. The local beach is pebbly but with sunbeds and umbrellas we could take in the sun.

Had a lovely stay at this property. The owners have provided everything you need for your holiday and the property was spotlessly clean. The tram being so Close meant it was very easy to get out and about, no need for a car. Fabulous views from the balcony.
