Loved it!!

It was a great place to stay for a few days between visiting family in the area. Very clean and quiet. We will be coming back!

We simply loved the Stowaway by the Lake!! Pictures are spot on, but had more room than expected. Our dog loved the big yard. There was also extra dishes for her food & water! Nice big tv in living room with a lot of channels. Nice kitchen area, but we didn’t get a chance to use it. This was a long weekend to attend Drag Boat races at Lucas Oil Complex. Owners were super responsive! We hope to stay again when in the area. This place is 5 stars!!

We loved our stay at Stowaway! The whole experience was wonderful! The owners thought of everything which made for a really nice stay! The check-in/out process was very easy and the owners were very easy to get a hold of if we needed something. We loved the lake decor and the place was quaint yet spacious enough for my family of four. The home was very comfortable with lots of amenities included like towels, blankets, pillows, and even a blow dryer. The kitchen was filled with dishes, silverware, and all the necessary tools and appliances we needed. We were able to cook several meals while we were there. The place was quiet, yet located near enough to the swimming beach and marina. We spent one day at the beach and the other day we rented a pontoon boat. We were very lucky that the weather was perfect to light the fire pit both evenings we were there. The kids (teenagers) rode all around on the bikes exploring the neighborhood. They found a cove right across the street and rode the bikes up to the Trade Post to get some snacks. We had a GREAT weekend getaway and are already talking about coming back again! Thank you for the comfort and hospitality! We loved it!

We absolutely loved staying at the Stowaway. The cleanliness and the feeling of being at home were great. Being able to bring our fur babies made our vacation. Close to the lake and other amenities was a plus for us. Thank you so much for letting us stay.

My husband & I were looking for a simple, relaxing getaway that wasn't too far from home. After going through dozens of places in Missouri, we settled on this cabin close to Pomme de Terre Lake. Pomme de Terre is a low-key, easygoing community; there are a few restaurants, but this isn't a tourist spot, which was PERFECT for us. Outside of renting a boat for a bit, we kept things very relaxed, which was literally what the doctor ordered. The cabin was absolutely adorable, and had pretty much everything we needed. We stopped by a local grocery store on our way in, and were able to make a lot of our meals ourselves, keeping our overall costs way down. Even when we went out, though, the local restaurants are inexpensive. As far as the cabin itself, every decoration was on theme, & so sweet! The fire pit and BBQ grill were perfect for us, and they had quite a selection of board games that we had a blast playing. We didn't watch much TV, but they had a few movies we enjoyed with our son. I'm not big on frills or fancy things; I'd rather have more fun on our vacations then waste money on fine dining and chandeliers, so this was my kind of vacation. People say, "simple" like it's a bad thing, but in our complicated lives, a "simple" cabin and vacation like this one couldn't be more appreciated. The cabin made it possible for my family to have true, quality time together, & that was absolutely the best. We would definitely recommend this place and Pomme de Terre!

This cottage was adorable and just minutes to the boat ramp. Plenty of parking if you are bringing your boat. The owners are awesome. They let us change our dates due to the weather and they let us check in early which helped alot since we came from Iowa. Highly recommend and I can't wait to book again. Thanks.

This was a quiet, cozy and clean cabin! Enjoyed visiting with the owner and she was so sweet and helpful! Had everything in the cabin.....and definitely would stay there again!

We had a very pleasant stay here. The property is clean and comfortable with several extras such as fire pit and board games. The owners were responsive and amenable.

A very cute little house. It was extremely clean and well decorated. They were even set up for my little beagle with her own mat and bowls. We had lots of space to walk around outdoors even nice places to sit. It was isolated enough that I could practice my flute for a few hours at a time without anyone complaining. Recommend!

What a nice place. We took five of our grand children with us for a weekend get away. The cabin was very clean and had all the extras that we needed. Loved the decor and there was plenty of room for all of us. Kids enjoyed their own separate space in the sunroom. A short trip to the swimming beach, s'mores on the fire pit and even treats, games, and two bicycles were provided by the hosts. We had a great time. Will definitely go back when time allows.

We stayed at The Stowaway while visiting family at Pomme de Terre Lake. The cottage was very clean and taken care of. They had dvds and board games for entertainment. The only drawback was the air conditioning. The cottage has two mini splits and they’re in the main living areas. The bedroom had no A/C. We used an upright oscillating fan and ceiling fan that the owner provided, but both were noisy. We enjoyed the firepit for making smores and the kids loved running in the field behind the cottage and catching fireflies.

This was our third stay at the Stowaway, and it never disappoints! Such a lovely place to stay! From the moment we arrive, we feel at home, and yet we’re on vacay! We will definitely book again without hesitation. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were looking for a quiet getaway for the weekend for Father's Day. It was a nice quiet location and very clean. The owners gave us all the information we needed and were very kind. It was close to the lake and the Speedway.

Was easy process, very nice and had everything you would need!

The location is great, a short walk to the lake and with ample space around the house for kids and pets to play. Super comfortable, everything you need for cooking and relaxing, even a fire ring under a beautiful big tree outside. The house is impeccable. We loved it and hope to return!

This was our second stay at the Stowaway! Home away from home, this continues to be a favorite of ours. Quiet neighborhood, great location for viewing and walking to Lake Pomme de Terre. Five star property.

We enjoyed our stay, everything was really comfortable and they were super hosts.

The manager was kind in the message to me about the property, and the property itself was easy to find and super cute. The decor is beach themed, there were homey touches throughout, such as plenty of pillows and throw blankets, and snacks left for guests. We enjoyed coming back to sleep in this quiet and private little property. Thank you! Will be repeat customers as the need arises, and would recommend to friends passing in the area.

This was our second time staying at the Stowaway and we again felt at home and well taken care by out hosts! We love exploring the Pomme De Terre Lake nearby, biking, hiking and meeting the friendly people in town.
