Very nice private home. Accommodated 6 comfortably. Ruth the property manager is attentive and accessible! Would not hesitate to rent again!

My family had the pleasure of spending 9 days at this beautiful home! From the moment we arrived and received a handwritten welcome note from Ruth and a kitchen fully stocked, to the excellent restaurant suggestions, to being allowed to check out a little bit late on our last morning, our trip was perfect. Ruth and her team set up the home beautifully for arrival with plenty of food to get us started (fridge stocked with all of the necessities and then some - eggs, butter, sausage links, pop, beer and even a Key Lime pie), fresh flowers throughout the home, sunscreen, fishing poles, beach chairs, snorkel equipment...there was nothing that she hadn't thought of! The home is situated on a bay - the view was fantastic and it was quiet and peaceful. The swimming pool was a perfect size and my 14 and 18-year-old spent time swimming in it every day. We would love to return to this home as it was the most amazing start to 2023 for us!

This was our second time staying at the house, and it was just as amazing as last year! The owners had made beautiful upgrades to the already beautiful interior, and the location continues to impress. Despite the convenience of a canal for our boat, you do not look across the water at another home, but rather a beautiful greenspace - it's the best of both worlds. There was plenty of room for the whole family to gather (or spend time apart). Ruth was, as always, friendly and responsive. When I mentioned that we would be celebrating our daughter's birthday while there, she placed a birthday balloon, plates, napkins, and candles with the rest of the amazing snacks/food/drinks in the home upon arrival. Stop looking, and just book this house - you won't regret it!

We loved everything about this property! The snacks and food laid out for us when we arrived was amazing. We had what we needed for breakfast. the house is in a great central location. Close to Sombrero Beach. Close to grocery and drug store. Beautiful space with great pool .

We had a fabulous time at this house! The location & sunsets were amazing. Jacquelyn was great! She came to greet us & even offered to help us with our luggage! Everything was new, up to date. Just as described. The amenities were over the top, everything we needed & more! We will definitely be back for sure:)

We enjoyed our stay at this property. We have been coming to Marathon for years for the first 2 weeks in August for lobster season and know the area very well. There are things that we liked about this property and things that we did not like about this property. Likes: -Location - it is in the middle of Marathon and a 1 minute drive to Publix. -Privacy - there is only 1 neighboring house and although the occupants were very loud, you could not hear them from the rear of the home (where the pool and water is) -Welcome package - upon check-in, the refrig was full with basics (breakfast foods, lunchmeat, beer and seltzers, etc) that lessened the rush to get to the grocery store - 3 bedrooms all have en-suite baths with a 1/2 bath off of the kitchen to serve the living area of the house -the pool area is very nice with new pool furniture and a gas grill Dislikes: -the home is an older, remodeled home that could use some additional work (plantation shutters did not stay open, back door lock was broken) -the garage was locked so we needed to store all of our fishing gear and dive equipment in the living room - the dock area where you can dock your boat has a large tree above it which is great for shade but is not so great because it dropped pods and seeds on the boat that stained the seats and deck of our boat -there is no cable TV or other live TV service - Roku only -it takes about 20-30 minutes to reach open water through the canal Overall, we would stay again but the list of dislikes above caused me to give this property 4 stars rather than 5 stars.

We loved staying in this home for our vacation. It was the best equipped vacation rental we have ever been at. Ruth, the property manager, had wonder snacks and drinks already there for us. We could not have asked for a better place and we booked it again for next year before we left.

Pictures don’t do it justice! We had the most incredible stay at Sunset Point and have already rebooked for next year! This was by far the most comfortable, well appointed Vacation Home we have stayed in. After an exhausting 12 hour drive we were welcomed by a stocked fridge and counter full of snacks & drinks to get our vacation started. Everything was thought of when preparing for their guests. The home was beautiful, private, clean and comfortable. They anticipated everything that we could possibly need during our stay and had an amazing team making our vacation effortless! The 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds now (instead of a queen and pull-out couch in old picture). All bedrooms have wonderful private full baths. The home is located at the end of the road with lots of parking for cars and boat trailers. There is an unbelievable amount of dock space for fishing and boats on a quiet cove in the canals with the best sunsets around. The pool was great for taking a dip and cooling off from the heat of summer. They have a deep freezer outside which was perfect for us to stock up with ice for the week. The location could not have been better being only about a half mile away from Publix, Winn Dixie & Walgreens. We saw manatees & dolphins in the canals and there are a lot of fish you see and hear jumping right off of the dock. For boaters, The canals come out in different areas- the ones we used the most were by Boot Key and Sombrero Beach on the Atlantic and also by the marinas by the 7 mile bridge which separates the Gulf & Atlantic. Ruth & Kelly and their team were extraordinary and we could not have asked for a better experience! Already counting down the days until our trip next year!!! Ruth is an amazing host. Responds quickly to questions throughout the entire process. The property was beautiful and completely stocked with everything....even snacks and many basics... would return in a heartbeat!!!!!

Ruth was a great host, responding quickly to all of our inquiries, house was well stocked, and in a great location! Very private, close to restaurants, the Gulf and Atlantic .

We stayed with our kids and my brothers family. Our kids loved the pool and fishing off the the sea wall. We saw multiple dolphins swimming right out front during our stay. Great sunsets and a fantastic location for tons of fun in the Keys. The property owner was fantastic and checked in a few times to make sure we had what we needed. Can’t say enough good things. Definitely a top favorite vacation for everyone! Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed at handfuls of rentals and this ranks up with the best of them. Truly deserving of the 5 star ranking! Great layout both inside and out. The home is actually much more spacious than the pictures. Kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals and nice touches with some turnkey items in the kitchen and bathrooms. We were close to everything in Marathon, max 10 minutes to beaches, restaurants, and attractions. So easy to get around. Also Ruth was very helpful for our stay. Thx!

This was an amazing home with all you could ask for.the perfect keys getaway

We are three friends who travel together annually, usually to Antigua. This year, because of COVID, we decided to stay in the country rather than make our usual trip to the Caribbean. We had planned to stay in a resort, but as the COVID situation became more acute in FL, we decided to rent a house so that we could remain as far away from other people as possible. This property was perfect for a very relaxing week. We enjoyed coffee in the mornings on the dock watching for marine life (we saw dolphins and a shark, and we think we heard a mantee splash but never saw it) and afternoons lazing by the pool. The house is equipped beautifully, with everything you could ask for in the kitchen (we did contribute a collection of snack bag clips, since there were none) and a spacious layout. There are three bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, plus a half bath in the hallway. The master bedroom (king bed) is one one side of the house and is separated from the living room by an office with built in desks on either side. The other two bedrooms (both queens) are on the opposite side of the living room and kitchen, affording a lot of privacy in the set up. The most extraordinary thing was the amount of food, snacks and beverages the owners provided at check in. We had arrived later than expected due to cancelled flights and thought we would have to make a quick run to the supermarket. No need at all. We found the fridge stocked with beer, soda and wine, as well as sandwich meat, milk, cheese, and a key lime pie! In addition, they provided lots of snacks - chips. salsa, hummus, etc. It was beyond anything I have ever found at a vrbo, and it was very generous and thoughtful of Ruth and Traci to have provisioned the house like this. The home is impeccably clean. The location at the end of a long lane with no outlet is very private, although you don't feel isolated because you can see other houses. The house sits at the end of a canal and looks across a large lagoon. The grounds offer a private pool, hammock under palm trees, a huge dock with Adirondack chairs, a picnic table and gas grill. The only negative was that we were eaten alive by no-see-ums, but the owners were so responsive in providing additional bug spray, citronella candles, and even called the company that provides spraying service for the property to do some additional treatments. Favorite lunch spots for outdoor dining were Island Fish, Keys Fisheries, and Sparky's. GREAT house -5 stars!

The property was beautiful. Ruth and Tracy were great hosts and had some groceries and beverages in the refrigerator for us. Can't wait to visit again.

We spent a week at this amazing property, and could not have been happier. The house was a great size for the entire family (7 year old, spouse, two sets of grandparents) and layout was perfect for meals, relaxing, etc. For example, you can stand in the kitchen and still see people fishing from the seawall or sitting at the table outside. The photos really don't do the house justice - it is much better in person! Ruth was fantastic and immediately addressed any questions or concerns. Do not hesitate to rent this home - you will not be disappointed!

The home in Marathon had the best selection of cooking utensils and needed appliances of anywhere that I have rented. The home was convenient to everything. The pool and grounds were great. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone.

Not only was it a beautiful property, but Ruth made the stay an excellent one, including helping me find an incorrectly delivered fedex package. Highly recommended!

Our stay was wonderful! The location was perfect - quiet, great sunsets and easy access to open water with the boat. After driving 31 hours hauling a boat, it was awesome to find a few groceries and cold drinks already there! The last thing you want to do is immediately run to the grocery store. It was such a thoughtful surprise! We spent a lot of time in the pool, dining outdoors and relaxing in the hammock and adirondack chairs listening to the fish jump and watching the sunsets. A little slice of heaven!

My son exclaimed “5 stars!” less than 5 minutes into our stay when he found a key lime pie left for us in the refrigerator. Was great having some things already stocked when we arrived after a long day of driving so that we didn’t have to immediately go out to the grocery store. House was clean and enjoyed the privacy of the space. Internet worked great with two of us working remote and two teenagers on their Xbox, added bonus of a couple of desks. Perfect for working and relaxing. Mornings and evenings by the water were peaceful. Great fishing for the kids right off the sea wall in the back. Only regret is not renting a boat for our entire stay, will definitely do that next time.

The layout of this house is perfect. The pool is perfect! The welcoming food and drinks that were left by the property manager was an outstanding gesture that I have never experienced in the 5 times I have been to the keys for vacation!!!! I wish i could give it more then 5 stars!!!!

My husband and I recently enjoyed a stay at this property with our small dog and would not hesitate returning. It's a clean, well-equipped house in an ideal location, with a lot of room for guests. The house is at the end of the street, offering privacy and great views of the water. It's well situated on Marathon, close enough to Key West and Islamorada to be able to explore those areas as well. Sombrero Beach is a two minute drive, Publix is right down the block, but yet the neighborhood is quiet and very pleasant.

These folks have a high level of attention to customer experience beyond any home we've rented over the years.The view is incredible as is the pool.We rented a boat for the week and Ruth was able to set up a captain who took us out to show us best fishing spots which was really helpful. The home does need a few updates and ideally for a larger family more seating spaces in the main room.When we come back to Marathon and we will this would be our first choice.Thanks Ruth for an incredible family vacation we won't forget!

Definitely met our expectation. The house and the location were perfect accommodation for a week long girls trip. The location is so close to Publix grocery store, Walgreens and great dining. The location and accommodation of the home is perfect for a family or a group of friends. We spent one day in the Keys...the drive was about 1 1/2 hour to the southern Keys. We also took advantage of some of the local beach areas. I would recommend this home and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making this special trip with friends so wonderful. DeAnne
