Beautiful setting although it was extremely windy for the whole of our stay which was not great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.

Was charged $300+ due to a hotel manager error. I had originally booked for 3 nights and had a booking.com request to extend the stay pending when we checked-in. The manager tried convincing us to skip booking.com so we'd arrange the stay extension directly with them, skipping booking.com fees. The next day my wife had dozens of infected blisters, some with pus, due to swarms of sand flies, so when we asked the hotel manager to ignore the request to extend the stay as we'd need to checkout the day after, he told us not to worry about it, though actually ended up accepting our old extension request so to lock us down to the extra pay. We had no choice but to check-out and see a doctor on Siem Reap as the island had no doctor. Over the next weeks a very frustrating back and forth communication with the hotel and booking.com ensued, with booking.com telling us the hotel refused to accept the check-out date, while the hotel asking for booking.com to change it. We even offered the hotel to pay for a cancel fee or pay the same fee they paid to booking.com, they remained intransigent while keeping our money for a service they never provided.

Beautiful place, accomodation was clean and spacious, staff were friendly and took care of needs very well. Felt like a true getaway!

Restaurant was quite overpriced and buffet breakfast was not great for $10 USD. There are other dining options a short walk away though so it’s not the end of the world.

It is one of the few resorts on the island with a pool so if the sea is a little rough or not to your liking, the pool is perfect. This was one of my main reasons for choosing this location. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breaksfast was a good spread considering the island location.

The prevalence of plastic on and around the island. Future changes going on will change the atmosphere of the place.

Fantastic island with beautiful beaches. The rooms were lovely and cosy, and the staff very helpful. They organised our speedboat to get there and a boat tour with snorkelling and fishing which was great fun and good value

Our stay at Eden Beach Resort has been fantastic. The staff are lovely. The beach was beautiful and clean. The room was spacious, clean, and cool. And cleaned every day. The restaurant and bar was great. A good choice of foods - although if we were there for two weeks it may have become a tad samey. It was a shame the restaurant/ bar emptied after the evening meal. Perhaps if Happy Hour continued until 21:00hrs, it might hold people longer and they’d spend more money. We went on an organised boat trip, which was great. The hotel really should display information about the trips available. We took out a kayak, again this was good fun. The hotel should display information about the kayaks. We did a couple of walks to Lazy Beach and Sunset Beach. The routes were easy to find. Litter on those paths was a shame to see. Perhaps the resorts could provide litter bags and equipment, and reward those that return with a full bag. Just a thought.

Fantastic hotel…the location was great (Saracen Beach) is an awesome quiet beach with enough restaurants…although the hotel restaurant was wonderful and we ate nearly every meal there…the staff was AMAZING!

Gorgeous location! Beautiful views. The staff was exceptionally friendly and so helpful with all our requests.

Everything and everyone was so great. There is a time during some evenings where the staff all take out the rubbish and off the island and there was a fairly pungent smell for a while near the pool.

+ The location on the beach and the facilities and decorations are wonderful. + The setting of the bungalows in the tropical garden is lovely. + The staff is friendly, especially Vanra was very supportive in organizing transport for us.

- The communication before arrival was not satisfactory. After messaging our arrival time by ferry (on our own initiative, because the hotel didn’t contact us to let us know there’s a pick up by boat), the pick up at the pier was late. - The staff at the restaurant was not very attentive/customer-friendly, basically we needed to go from the beach or pool to the bar every time we wanted a drink and sometimes had to wait several minutes before a waiter even showed up at the bar. During breakfast, we also needed to approach the waiters for eggs etc. - One day of our stay, the hotel hosted a corporate event that occupied the beach and the restaurant for hours with noisy music and games without warning the other guests or offering compensation (tourists come to this island for calm and peace). - The prices for laundry and transport at the hotel were way too high (laundry 3 to 4 $ per piece excl. VAT while the restaurant next door offers laundry for 2,5$ per kilo; taxi from the pier in Sihanoukville to the airport in Sihanoukville for more than 40$ while taxi drivers take around 20 to 25$).

Things that need improvement from our point of view: *the cleanliness of the room *almost no vegetarian options at breakfast *and we experienced that the buffet was hardly refilled when we wanted to have breakfast after 9 am (breakfast is till ten)
