Great location, central to everything. Next to a wildlife lookout area, easy to access. Well equipped kitchen. Owner provided a great selection of soaps/shampoo/conditioner which was a nice plus.

We so enjoyed our stay here on BHI! This place had everything we needed for an awesome beach vacation. The location is close to many restaurants, the market, and other shops on the island. We enjoyed using the reliable and ready-to-go golf cart to go to the beach and the BHI club. The other residents were friendly throughout our stay.

Great property and we very much enjoyed our visit to BHI. The golf cart, immenities, pool and little touches within the property made it easy for the week. Looking forward to returning to BHI.

The condo is perfect for a family with 2 kids. It was super clean and modern with lots of nice touches like laundry soap, dishwasher soap, and beach towels and a beach cooler. The host is very quick to respond. Recommend you book the BHI ferry and tram weeks early it fills up fast. Beach easy 5 minute cart ride and they were never crowded.

Such a beautiful place to have called home for 5 nights. The building does not look like much from the outside but inside is incredible. So tastefully decorated and comfortable. Perfectly clean and when the owner says, “Just bring your clothes,” she means it. All bathroom products, coffee, spices for cooking, beach towels, chairs, bikes, golf cart…What a relief to not have to provide those items when arriving by plane.
The bed and linens were wonderful as was the little leg shaving shelf in the master ensuite! Obviously a woman’s touch. The kitchen is very well equipped but a pizza pan may be a good addition. We never did figure out the fancy toaster but thankfully there was a standard one available. We also loved the ice machine and will be ordering one for our cabin as soon as we get home!
We thoroughly enjoyed bombing around the island on the golf cart and trying a new beach every day. It was great to come back to the quiet complex to enjoy a cool down in the pool at the end of the day. Most times, we had the pool all to ourselves.
We did have need to see a dr while on the island and was able to get in to see Nurse Practitioner Lou within an hour of calling. Not only was she able to provide some medications on site, but was also able to order from Southport who delivered them right to our side of the ferry.

We loved staying at Royal James Landing. The home was clean, comfortable, and had lots of amenities. We loved riding the bikes around the island. We enjoyed eating at the local restaurants and loved traveling by golf cart! Lots of fun for these first timers at BHI!

My spouse and I stayed at this unit in May 2024. The reservation process went very smoothly, as did the check in and check out process. No surprise “house rules” or hidden fees, everything was spelled out clearly from the start. The unit is tucked away in the interior of the island, but has a pool steps away. The golf cart (included with the rental) made it easy to explore the island and go to any of the many public beach access points. The unit was very clean and well equipped. The beds were comfy, kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed watching the big TV with access to Netflix, Prime Video, and other streaming entertainment. Compared with the rental prices for other island rentals this place is a steal.

Enjoyed our stay here for a wedding. Great location and very clean! We enjoyed being able to use the guest membership at the BHIC. DeAnne is a great host and went out of her way to make our stay at the property smoother. We greatly appreciated it and hope to return again sometime!

The host was amazingly responsive and helpful providing tons of information about the island long before our arrival. The condo was very clean and beautifully remodeled. Even though the building looks old from the outside, it feels new inside. There were many little things inside the condo left for the guests that made it feel like home such as k cups, laundry detergent, and even cute notes and instructions for using any and all electronics. The golf cart was perfect for getting around and the bikes made for a nice scenic ride around the island. We didn’t use the beach gear cause it was a bit cold, but the chairs and umbrellas looked to be in great condition. Would definitely stay again.

The condo was very clean, bright and relaxing. We had one hiccup, which the property manager was quick to respond and correct as best as she could at the time of day. Overall, a really nice place to stay.

This condo is located mid-island in the Maritime Forest. It is close to the market and great beaches. The condo is perfect for our family. The kitchen is well equipped for our needs. Additionally, the condo has spices, oils, and coffee, so we did not need to bring our own. There is also shampoo, conditioner, body wash, trash bags, dishwashing detergent, and laundry detergent provided, which is an added amenity. This was our second stay in this condo, the first time in 2022. The condo has been very well maintained in the past two years. We will definitely be back!

This place was nice! Conviently located, very clean. We were very happy with our stay. The provided golf cart was perfect. We also used the bikes to get around which worked out great! I am very pleased with our stay. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Laundry was a great bonus with provided necessities to run a load. Shower in master with jets was perfect!

This condo was the cleanest place I have stayed in a long time. It was wonderful walking into such a spotless unit. Having a golf cart at our disposal was a useful perk. Warning-- don’t drive it after dark as the headlights are not bright enough to light your way. :). The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.

We had a great time at BHI celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary! The condo was clean, updated, quiet and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Very close to the market with shops and conveniently located restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

The condo is in a convenient location that is close to many activities. The beach is about a 5-minute golf cart ride away or 15-minute walk. There is an animal sanctuary right around the corner. Check out the birds first thing in the morning and as they come to roost for the evening shortly before sunset. We enjoyed spotting the alligator as well. We also recommend kayaking in the creek and seeing the island from the top of Old Baldy. Venture off the beach for a hike inland to see a few of the massive heritage oaks and unique ecosystem on the island. BHI does not disappoint! The condo was the right size / space for a couple to stay and decompress. It allowed us room to do some work during the morning and evenings while still enjoying a vacation and feeling as though we were on vacation.

We went to BHI to see the sea turtles hatching, which was great. The condo location was great. Not equipped for handicapped access should that be a need for someone. Golf cart was a great convenience. Cozy for a couple's getaway.

Our family of four enjoyed staying in this beautiful condo. Great location with a short 5 minute golf ride to the beach and available community pool. The host DeAnne was great! Strongly recommend this condo to anyone. We had a great vacation!

Our family stayed here (2 adults, 2 kids -7 and 9) on our first trip to Bald Head. We loved it!! The condo was so nice and comfortable. Layout was great. Golf cart was fun to have. Washer/dryer were so helpful to have, as we went to the beach every day. Beach towels, beach chairs, and bikes were all great extras to have!

My family enjoyed staying here. The owner was very responsive to my questions and very accommodating as well. The umbrella was broken, but she sent over a new one within an hour! Beds were comfortable (and I’m very picky when it comes to beds) and the entire place was very clean. We would stay here again.

What a beautiful condo, so nicely renovated. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked with necessities. The host made sure there were plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, coffee pods, laundry detergent, dish detergent, shampoo & conditioner etc. There are bikes and beach chairs available to use. A linen closet stocked with fresh sheets and towels. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep with comfortable bedding. Great location-close to shopping and dining. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this condo again!

We had such a great stay at this condo! It is exactly as pictured and extremely clean - probably the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed at. We enjoyed the central location on the island and loved that it was close to the market. We cooked a couple of meals here and the kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything I needed. At one point I realized I forgot to bring our small cooler to bring drinks and snacks to the beach, but DeAnne had a cooler available that saved us! So much thought was put into the condo and as a family traveling with children, it was very much appreciated. Highly recommend!

I am usually not blown away by vacation rentals. I was completely blown away at the cleanliness, amenities, and thought that Deanne has put into this rental. She had everything a family would need and then some. She has thought of everything and ensured that the experience is fabulous! The location on the island is perfect as it’s close to everything. That being said, the condo feels secluded as it is near the end of the street and has a wooded area behind it. We were there for 6 nights and have already started planning our next stay! Thank you for making our trip so wonderful!

The condo is a centrally located in the forest and filled with all needed things to cook and be comfortable away from home. The owner is very thoughtful with touches( blankets, guides, coffee pods, even a satin pillowcase and tons of pillows). The condo was very clean and came with bikes, golf cart, chairs, beach toys, biggie boards, beach towels, ice packs and a cooler. There was enough pods for the wash machine and dishwasher for the week so no need to pick up more. This made packing for the ferry so much easier. It was perfect for a family of 4. It was a 10 minute walk or a super quick golf cart ride to the best beach( south beach) , to the grocery store, and the BHI club. The only issue we ran into (which is not in owners control )was the upstairs neighbors as we heard them walking around late at night ( past 12) and our last two nights playing music ( or a loud tv) very late into the night to the point we had to use a noise machine app to go back to bed. Not a huge issue during the day, but if you are a light sleeper be aware. The value of the place though made it such a great deal to stay in such a magical peaceful island. Our kids want to go back next summer! Loved our stay at the condo and at BHI.

We had our honeymoon on the island this past week and enjoyed the condo. The community pool was nice and usually not in use! Good location on island as well!

We came in for a wedding and had the ladies doing the music staying with us. The twin beds and separate bathrooms were perfect for that. Owner was quick to respond to messages and very friendly! Word of caution: if you are over 6 ft tall, definitely watch your head when going to the golf cart!

Condo was beautifully updated, had all the needed amenities, and was super comfortable. Cannot recommend highly enough. Central location and access to bikes (not the newest, but gets the job done) and quality beach chairs made it easy to enjoy the island. Definitely recommend east beach north of Shoals Club - expansive and gorgeous. Note, this is a first floor unit so you’ll definitely hear any guests upstairs.
