Spent a wonderful week at Bonita Bungalow. Very bright, well appointed, beautiful home in our most favorite place, Fripp Island. Can’t say enough about what a pleasure it was to work with Barbie. She was attentive to any question or need that arose. House has all the comforts of home. Very nice linens, comfortable beds and a great screened in porch with a view of the 17th hole of Ocean Creek Golf Course. Deer visit daily & we were lucky enough to have 2 females Bring their babies with them. Golf cart provided with rental So enjoyed lots of cart rides to the beach & other points of interest in the beautiful place. Looking forward to a return trip to Bonita Bungalow.

The property was lovely and fresh. I was there with my puppy. Wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed the surroundings more. Only suggestion would be do your food shopping at the Publix on the highway in as selection is very poor at the local store. I wish the amenity package I paid for had been included with the package I received from the gate as I came in. Weather was so poor I didn't pursue it.

My teenage daughter and I had a mother/ daughter trip with 3 other mother/ daughters and stayed at the Bonito Bungalow. It was a great location and we had a fun time. A couple things that were not well represented - 1. there is not a hot tub as the listing says. Rather, there is a large whirlpool tub in the Master. 2. The listing says it sleeps 8, and it really sleeps 6 in regular beds then a roll away bed for one. You can fit an 8th if you put 3 people in the King bed in Master suite. 3. We added on the amenity cards ($25 card became $44 with all the fees) and then so many of the "extras" were closed until later in the season. This was disappointing. It was nice to have the golf cart to drive around the island; however, it was difficult to connect to the charger each night as you'd have to move a car out of the garage, thus move the car in the driveway, to get to the charger. It would be nice if the golf cart could be charged near the garage door so we didn't have to move cars around every time. Overall, we still had a fun time. The owner was responsive and everything was clean. The short walk to the gold course behind the house to watch the sunset was amazing!

We've stayed at this lovely Bonito Road home before and it's got EVERYTHING we need. The owners are great - super responsive - and the location is just CHEF'S KISS!

Spent a relaxing five nights at Fripp. Enjoyed long walks on the beach, several times each day. Our springer spaniel took full advantage of her time at the beach, made a few friends and wore herself out running and swimming. My son fished from the shore, was a bit disappointed that the pier was closed. Didn’t get to use our amenity cards very much, my 19 year old wasn’t allowed to use the adult pool area but we did order some takeout from the restaurant at the marina. Good grilled shrimp and nachos. Tried dinner one night but wouldn’t recommend, new owners are working out kinks in menu and service. Mangos was good for sandwiches. Java Joes was a disappointment coffee machine wasn’t cooperating. Would be nice if there was a good coffee shop nearby. Enjoyed the Hunting Island State park and trip into Beaufort! Golf cart made trips to the beach a breeze. Definitely wasn’t prepared for the noseeems! Got eaten alive at the golf course!!! Overall it was a great break with excellent family time.

Great spot to enjoy the beach, walk the many paths and trails, and enjoy some golf. House has everything you need and the golf cart was a great way to scoot around the island. The scenery and manicured grounds on the island are top notch as well.

Our family loved our stay at Bonito Bungalow. We like to enjoy a long weekend at the beach each year after Christmas with our adult children and grandchildren. This was our first time on Fripp Island and it was great! Our host, Barbie, was friendly and very easy to work with. The home was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It backs up to a golf course and had plenty of room for our 4 year old grandson to play. He had fun watching a group of “reindeer” playing and chasing each other around the yard. The deer are friendly and will come right up to you. It was a bit cold during our stay, but we were still able to enjoy some sunshine and blue skies on the beach, which is located just a very short golf cart ride away. We had dinner one night at Johnson’s Creek Tavern, located just off the island, and we’d highly recommend it.The food was great and it has a fun, casual atmosphere! We hope to come back again sometime to enjoy Fripp in warmer weather. We’d definitely want to stay at Bonito Bungalow again!

My family and I had a great time at this amazing home! We have no complaints. The house was very neat and clean! Not only was our stay great but Barbie was so kind and easy to get in touch with. She was so helpful and answered any questions that I had, she is by far the best host we have ever had through vrbo! It was fairly cold when we visited seeing as it was December, so some days we found ourselves inside more often than we would be in the summer, this house has Netflix, Disney plus, a jacuzzi tub with a perfect view of the sunset (which is very nice if you are traveling with kids and need some time to yourself), and much more! It was perfect! Again, huge kudos to Barbie for being an amazing host, she made us all feel so welcomed and comfortable! If you were debating on a place to stay on fripp I hope this helps, in the years of visiting fripp this is by far the best experience I have had. I would 10/10 recommend staying here. It definitely deserves 5 stars and more!

We had a great week, the house and location were perfect. The decor and furnishings could not have been better.

The Bonito Bungalow was the perfect house for our family vacation! The house is so beautiful and perfectly located on the island. Plenty of space for our group- 4 adults and 3 kids. The screened in porch was so nice! Enjoyed drinking coffee there in the mornings. We loved using the golf cart to ride to the different pools and cruise around looking for wildlife. The beach access was a super short drive on the golf cart. Barbie was really attentive and responded quickly when we messaged her. We hope to come back to the bungalow next summer!

We had a lovely time at this beach house. Clean and welcoming, it had everything we needed for the week; even a crate for our dog! The owners were very responsive and easy to communicate with. Also in a very convenient location close to the beach and marina. We’ve stayed twice at this house now and would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.

Bonito Bungalow is such a beautiful property! The location is perfect. A quick golf cart ride to beach and marina. The house is so comfy and spacious. Barbie is amazing!!! She accommodated all of my family’s needs. I would definitely stay here again. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to vacation on Fripp Island again.

Our family spent a whole week in this beautiful home! Everything was clean, up to date and taken care of! The owner checked on us several times during the week and even gave us some recommendations for food around the island. We will stay here again! Absolutely perfect!

The house was very nice and clean. The location was convenient to everything. The property owners were great to rent from. No complaints at all, we plan to book this same house for next year!

This rental was everything we needed and more. And so close to the beach! Barbie and Matt were so accommodating and even bought us two new beach chairs to replace the two broken ones. Talk about going the extra mile!!! We have been to Fripp 5 times now and this will be our new favorite rental in the future.

This was our first time visiting Fripp Island and it is truly a unique experience. From the Historic locations to explore, the wildlife to see, and all of the wonderful food. And there was no better place to call home for the week than the Bonito Bungalow. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the patios, especially the grandparents. The added amenity of having a cart to navigate the island is a huge savings. A weekly cart rental is around $300-$500. The house is clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked with everything you’ll need. We can’t wait to go back. (And make the Frogmore Stew!) it will now be a staple in our home…so good, and so easy. It was a big hit.

This is a beautiful house, great location and so many included extras! The owners have done such a wonderful job of making their home so comfortable and welcoming as well. Highly recommend!!

This is a great home and worked well for our family of 6. We loved all of the porches, the easy access (entry code) to the house and garage, plenty of living room seating and comfortable bedrooms. The electric golf cart and bikes were a very nice bonus, and extremely helpful. The gas grill looks new and worked great. And Barbie was a great communicator and very responsive to our questions. We had a great vacation!

We've been vacationing at Fripp for more than 18 years now, and I can safely say this is our best experience to date. The house was immaculate, great upgrades and perfectly decorated. Barbie checked on us multiple times throughout the week to ensure our stay was going well. It was great to finally rent a house that had a properly working and very clean grill, and upgraded golf cart. We will definitely be staying at Bonito Bungalow again!!

The charming aesthetics of the beach house, coupled with its comforting ambiance provided us a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The evenings spent on the porch created unforgettable memories. We really appreciated the attention to detail in the house's decor, cleanliness, and the well stocked amenities. Fripp and Bonito Bungalow are definitely on our list of return destinations.

Coastal, cozy, comfortable, clean!! The photos don’t do it justice. We had our children and grandchildren with us the weekend and the layout of the home was perfect for the family. The back, screened balcony was our favorite spot when we were all together. We ate, talked, played games and enjoyed the beautiful view of the golf course and the majestic setting sun. The addition of the golf cart, bikes and beach chairs were wonderful. All of these were things we didn’t have to bring from home.

My husband and I stayed at the Bonito Bungalow for our honeymoon, and we absolutely loved it! The house is located perfectly on the island, central to the beach, marina, pools, and other amenities. Our golden retriever loved it too, watching the deer and keeping an eye out for alligators. We loved sitting out on the back porch, sipping coffee and watching the golfers play the 17th hole. Our favorite things to do were riding bikes all over the island and exploring the hidden streets on the golf cart. Checking in and getting set up were a breeze, the hosts are so helpful and readily available for any questions we had. The house had everything we needed and we could not have asked for a better week on Fripp Island!

This is our second time staying here and it did not disappoint! My family loves it! We spend so much of our time on the beautiful porches with gorgeous sunset views! The new floors were a great touch to this gorgeous home! Highly recommend! Barbie is the BEST host and is always available to answer any questions! We will definitely be back soon!

We truly loved our stay on Fripp Island. The house was clean and had the perfect amount of space four family of four. Comfortable beds and soft sheets.We loved getting around the island on the bikes and with the golf cart. It was perfect. All the deer and the views from the decks were an added bonus.

The Bonito Bungalow was a perfect getaway for us for a long weekend. The patios were great for dinners and relaxing in the morning with coffee and evening with wine. Having access to a golf cart made beach trips very easy and it was also a convenient walk (less than 1/2 mile) for our morning / evening beach walks. We had never been to Fripp and we liked how low key it was, not very crowded at all. If we came again, we likely wouldn’t do the amenity cards - we only used it once (after our first dinner experience we opted to drive elsewhere or cook for the remainder of the trip).

We absolutely enjoyed our vacation to Fripp. This was our first visit to the island, and Barbie and Matt’s beach house made our trip even more enjoyable. The house was very clean, warm and homey. We cooked all our meals in, and stopped at the Publix on Lady’s Island for all our groceries. Barbie was very helpful through the whole check in process, and I appreciated all her suggestions. The golf cart was great as we had a friend visit us who had some mobility issues. The location of the beach house is just a short walk to the beach and the marina. We enjoyed seeing all the wildlife in the area— Osprey, bald eagles, egrets and the many deer! The beach is beautiful and even though the weather was a little chilly, it was perfect for walks on the beach. We have been to Kiawah, Edisto, and Wild Dunes, but I think Fripp tops all of them! Thank you again Barbie and Matt for sharing your lovely home with us. We hope to be visiting Fripp again!

The best things about our Fripp Island stay was our morning and evening beach walks! Additionally, Barbie was probably the most attentive host we’ve ever had. We don’t usually revisit the same place twice, but would highly recommend the Bonita Bungalow to others!

This property is great! Barbie is a wonderful host, checking in regularly. We never needed a thing but I know if we did she would have been super responsive and helpful! The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable and the location is perfect and convenient. The included golf cart was wonderful! One less thing to have to coordinate when booking and on arrival. Thanks for a great trip!
