This house was simply amazing! Very spacious, clean and beautiful views of the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing. Deer in the front yard. The kayaks were so much fun. Exceeded expectations.

This house is always fantastic and is my kid's favorite vacation of the year. They love the dock, lake access, and the water toys that we have access to. We rent 3-4 properties a year and the Fun Spot locations are always the best run and most welcoming. Love our vacations here.

The house was everything we were hoping and more. The kayaks, paddle boards, and life jackets were all easily accessible and the dock was comfortable and spacious to watch everyone out in the water. The bed rooms were large with comfortable beds and well decorated (unlike other places on the lake). The kitchen, grill, ice makers, dish washers and refrigerators made cooking for a lot of people a breeze. The downstairs game room and movie room entertained all the kids for days. In addition, the hosts were responsive and courteous. Hands down best place for an active group. We loved it!

We had 11 adults using the 6 bedrooms and had a wonderful time. As far as bedrooms, four are outstanding, the other two ( basement bunk and queen and cottage) just ok- would be fine for younger people though. We had a few minor issues with the cottage but Kylor was quick to respond. Having so many kayaks to use was a big highlight for us and it was easy to stay away from the bigger sections where the speed boats were. The kitchen is probably the best stocked of any vrbo I have ever seen. We didn’t use a lot of the game options like air hockey and arcade games but we enjoyed the corn hole and the pool table. The outside seating is so nice and lots of options for sun or shade. Definitely recommend as long as you know the cottage bed has a steep ladder and you have to use that to get down to the bathroom at night. Overall a great place!

My boyfriend and I came here with a group of friends, and our expectations were exceeded by far. The house was spacious, had any amenity you would hope for, including an air fryer, multiple crockpots, all the cookware and utensils you would need and then some. There are a ton of kayaks and paddle boards, making it even more enjoyable to be out on the water. I would come back here in a heartbeat and everyone in the group would agree.

The pictures do not do this property justice - it is FABULOUS. Stunning views and so much outdoor space - from the decks/patios to the dock complex. Extremely spacious and thoughtful design to maximize the experience. They have really thought through the guest experience in every room. The kitchen has multiple dishwashers, fridges, and trash to make large scale meals a breeze. There are games and speakers throughout the house. The bedrooms are comfortable and cozy. And, the media room was a huge hit - was like having a little movie theater in the house. You won't want to leave the property! And, the hosts were communicative, helpful, and flexible. Overall, an amazing experience!

Kylor was very helpful with information about the house leading up to our stay and during the stay. We were holding a special event at this household. He was readily available to answer questions about the property and features that we were concerned about. We spoke on the phone multiple times to insure a great and easy visit. The house is amazing, with beautiful views of the lake and mountains from the balconies. Stunning newly renovated dock, with plenty of activities provided. Dock house is what you’d imagine what a dock house would be. The basement is full of fun, theater room, bar area, table games, and the SONOS sound system was a nice touch and easy to use. The fire pit with plenty of provided wood was a plus. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The kitchen is very large and provided plenty of features for cooking. One very important missing factor of the house is that it does not have a backup generator on the property. The trip happened to fall in line with Hurricane Ian showing up unexpectedly to the special event. The power was knocked out the night we arrived and lasted for 12hrs into the morning. The house is on an electric water pump, so that meant no power and no water (which means no flushing toilets) - could have been a deal breaker for this planned special event. Kylor was readily available to be contacted, and we texted back and forth knowing that we both did not have any immediate solutions. He was able to source a generator locally, but that didn’t mean the roads were clear of any debris. A large tree had fallen up the street less than a mile from the property, keeping us from traveling. The house is located deep into SML, with lots of tall old trees hovering above power lines. A house of this magnitude that houses 16 people and allows events should have a backup generator on the property. Overall, the special event went on and things were as they were. Again, Nature is unpredictable but being prepared isn’t.

Absolutely fantastic and better than the pictures. We had our micro wedding here and our family said it was one of their favorite weekends ever. Communication was great. Highly recommend and we want to come back!!

It was perfect with the six bedrooms. Love the set up and design. Really enjoyed all the games outside, especially the pool table inside. Kitchen utensils were awesome. Only downs were the sofa was not comfortable and the dock had only one side for boat security. Need more cleats to dock since you can’t use boat lift. Upstairs first front bedroom/bathroom the shower Faucet leaked and wouldn’t cut off. The exust fan/tub light did not work.

We all had a blast and couldn't be happier with our stay! :)

It's a wonderful place for adults and kids of all ages. Plenty of "toys"-kayaks, paddle boards, floats, home theater, well stocked kitchen, outdoor spaces with seating for everyone. Shaded dock is a large outdoor "room"-loved it all!

I have to say that this home and its owners are awesome. There were 16 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was spacious and having 2 refrigerators, 2 ice makers and another refrigerator downstairs was perfect. We managed to fill them all up including the fridge in the outdoor kitchen and at the dock. The views were incredible! The dock was our favorite place to hang out. Plenty of seating as well as Kayaks and space for our boat. The kids loved the hanging chairs. We used the fire pit for s’mores, the kids had a blast. The lower deck was full of seating and fun games. The lower level was great for the kids to spread out and play. They loved the theatre seating for cartoons and movies. We all had our own rooms with private bathrooms. We have stayed at SML for our Family Vacation before and this home was by far the best ever. All in all we made so many amazing memories and we will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I got married at Kaylor and Susan’s home. It was absolutely perfect!!! Any questions I had, they responded immediately and were extremely accommodating. We can’t wait to come back!! Thank you so much for everything Kaylor and Susan!

In the area for our daughters med school graduation from Liberty university. The property is outstanding. The fire pit and the dock/kayaks were our favorite. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend. A good time was had by all.

Had a great 10 day visit - no one wanted to leave! This house had everything - kitchen is the best stocked kitchen ever, lots of inside and outside family games, and the lake view from the house is incredible !!! Owners are responsive and a pleasure to work with- Hope to return!

Kylor and Susan Have thought of everything! The home was beautifully appointed and obviously great attention was given to just about any amenity that would enhance our visit to the lake. Our visit was a surprise for my wife's 60th birthday with our children and grandchildren as part of that surprise. Kylor was the SO gracious host ever. He met every request we asked for to make our wedding day perfect. The home is immaculate, every guest thought it was breathtaking and we had everything we needed. We could not ask for a better place or a better day for a wedding. We are already talking about family reunions at this house.

If you’re looking for an incredible rental, you’re in the right place. We went for an office retreat and it was incredible. I hardly wanted to go to bed at night because I wanted to soak up every single second. Beautiful home full of everything you could ever need. I hope to make this a yearly spot to stay..the only thing I wish was that our stay was longer! We made memories of a life time.

From the moment we arrived we found special small gifts to make our stay feel welcomed. We had the most beautiful time at fun spot 3! My wedding was absolutely perfect and this house will always hold a special place in my heart. It has stunning view and it is just beautiful inside and out!

What an amazing venue! The views are priceless and the accommodations are first rate all the way through. This is the ideal place for larger groups. We spent hours on the lake and the paddle boards, kayaks, and floats were in constant use. The host was very timely and informative in communications. By far one of our best VRBO experiences.

We spent a week with extended family at Fun Spot 3 in August. It was the perfect location and setting for our family -- during which we had a memorial service for a family member lost over the past year. A beautiful setting, great location, and lots of places to relax, games to play, and dock to lounge on/swim off of. Kylor and family were extremely accommodating and communicative. Well done.

This house is aptly named as there is a lot of fun to be had here! Our 3 generation family, ranging from 8 months to 75 years-old, all enjoyed the amenities, kayaks, floats and fun games the house has to offer. The shaded deck and patio allow you to enjoy the amazing view throughout the day. The water was great for boating, floating, fishing and fun, in a relatively private area. The kitchen was well organized and well stocked. The multiple refrigerators, dish washers and ice makers made for seamless meal prep. Having an en suite bathroom for every bedroom allowed for privacy, with plenty of room to spread out and gather as a family. Kylor was super responsive and easy to work with. When I inquired if there was a cupcake tin prior to arrival, he said he knew he had stocked one at the beginning of the season, but just to be sure he bought a brand new one and had it there waiting for us! It was a great weekend at SML!

This is our fourth year renting on SML and this property was the best by far. The location couldn’t be better with views of the mountains and right on the main part of the lake. It is very well appointed with modern kitchen appliances, ample dishes and even dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. The owners were responsive to my questions and both the check in and check out processes were smooth. The layout for our family was ideal with four “adult” bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The downstairs is perfect for kids with lots of beds and their own theater. The outdoor space is also well thought out with plenty of places to sit and lots of shade. We immediately reserved a week for next year as we finally feel like we found the perfect property to rent each summer for our lake week.

The property exceeded all expectations. The property was immaculate upon our arrival and offered every imaginable convenience. Prior to, during, and after our stay the owner was responsive to our every need, courteous, and helpful. I have rented vacation homes for family getaways in the past from Nantucket to South Carolina - this property was unquestionably the best.

The layout of the house and the outdoor amenities are perfect for encouraging family interaction and fun. This property had everything we needed to have a great time.

This is truly a wonderful lake side vacation property. Upon arrival the home was even better than expected. The view of the lake is spectacular and whether hiking or boating (the dock is fully stocked with water toys) or watching deer cross the yard, the location is absolutely perfect. Kylor and his team were great to deal with and extremely accommodating when we had some rather unusual requests. This home is one of those rare rentals where everything is absolutely perfect. Thank you for making this a wonderful and memorable vacation experience for us.

Fun Spot 3 was the best rental property my family has ever had the pleasure of staying at. Everything was thought of from water toys (Kayaks, paddleboards), activities (ping-pong, pool, darts, cornhole, air hockey), to kitchen utensils (best stocked kitchen). The views and lake/marina access are perfect and make it easy to just arrive and enjoy your time. The fire pit is wonderful to sit around on the cooler lake/mountain nights. The outdoor furniture is amazingly comfortable to sit and enjoy the views. This is my second stay at a Fun Spot location and we have already reserved our third. Cannot wait for our next trip to Smith Mountain Lake.
