This was our second long-term rental at this wonderful remodeled and updated house tucked away in a beautiful, secluded neighborhood. Everything was just as we left it almost a year ago, thankfully, because that 30-day stay was perfect! The property description is 100% accurate and even downplays the amenities and features, including special decorating touches that truly make it feel like a home away from home. Owner Matthew was again welcoming and super responsive. He has a gift for professional hospitality! We feel like friends, and hope to return again soon when we visit our family in Louisville.

We had planned to go out to dinner a lot during our stay but enjoyed the place so much that we stayed in every night. The place was comfortable, secluded, quiet. We just loved it!

We stayed in the area for the Bourbon & Beyond music festival and found “Hummingbird” for our stay. The home is welcoming, clean, comfy and has every amenity you would need and want! Hummingbird was our first Vrbo rental. It was a truly wonderful experience, exactly as described and even better in many ways. For thirty days we lived in this beautiful, wooded and quiet neighborhood, explored the area and learned more about what it means to be "Louisvillians". Our hosts were the best, always there and ready to assist with anything we needed. After just a short while we felt more like neighbors than guests! We really hated to leave but will look forward to the next chance we have to visit again from Tucson - it's a perfect way to escape the desert in summer.

Exactly what we were looking for in Louisville. The neighborhood was so cute and good location. We were at a event at KICC all weekend and the location of the property was perfect, just enough out of the city but still close enough. It was so clean and welcoming. Host was responsive and friendly. We will be back!

We had a great time and the house was very cute and perfect for our group of 4! There were a Few things we all talked about - the furniture was not the most comfortable for lounging and the chairs at the kitchen table were not comfortable to sit in for an extended time. The walkways were not the easiest to walk on. With all of that it was a super cute house and we had a great stay - great communication with the owner! We would not hestitate to stay there again.

We had a great time at this property - it's like a private retreat. Perfect for a fall getaway as it's surrounded by mature trees and has porches on both the front and back to enjoy your surroundings. House has everything you will need and things are intuitively organized and well-labeled.

The house was just a listed. It was perfect for our group. Nice decorating with artistic touches. The host was very responsive when we had questions. About 20 minutes to everywhere we wanted to go in Louisville. Our friends even remarked they would love to buy it. I would highly recommend the property.

Our stay at The Hummingbird was five stars all around. Crisp, modern mid-century interior design. Well-equipped, comfortable and pleasing to the eye. Owner communication excellent. Appreciated the thoughtful supplies of water, coffee, etc. Highly recommend.

An absolutely idyllic setting in a private neighborhood. The host was very communicative and fulfilled any request we had. The description of the property was right on the mark even to queuing up the deer :) Would recommend this property and we will definitely be coming back!

We were in the Louisville area for a family memorial and this location was wonderful. It was a great place to relax before and after the event. The entire family (5) enjoyed their stay. Such a nice home, in a nice neighborhood, and close to everything we wanted to visit in Louisville. Communication with host was phenomenal. There was never a question of what we needed for check-in, our stay, or check-out. The home was stocked with basic essentials like coffee pods, creamer, salt, pepper, etc. In addition, there were extras, like cotton swabs, plenty of towels, blankets, etc. We will definitely check availability when we are in Louisville again.

Completely updated cottage in a park like setting yet minutes away from stores and restaurants. We enjoyed coffee on the back deck in the morning and wine on the front porch in the evening. Our grandson played outside and we saw several deer. We will be back!

Beautiful home with great updates yet it still has the older home feel. Louisville memorabilia throughout the home gives it a very cool vibe! Beds are firm but comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend this home. Just a few things for people to know that I'm sure I just missed in the description. 1. If you are older 60+ or have bad knees, the walking paths to the house could give you issues. 2. If you love regular coffee, bring K cups. They supplied a variety but not of regular ole coffee. There isn't a regular drip coffee maker. 3. There are not tv's in either bedroom.

This was the perfect place for us. Beautiful yard that our children could go out and play in. Quiet back road that we could go for a walk on. The fireflies in the evening (and other wildlife) along with the enormous trees that had to be at least 100 to 200 yrs old made this property seem like we were in a dream land. We visited a playground with a splash pad that was nearby and our children enjoyed that. We also visited Churchill Downs and watched some horse racing because our daughter is a huge horse fan. The Kentucky Derby Museum is located at this race track as well. The train tracks throughout the countryside were so neat to see. Our son enjoyed the trains. And this house isn't too far from the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. It was nice to see how Noah and his sons would have built the Ark way back during the Old Testament times and the science there is to back up God's Creation. We really enjoyed this house. The beds were super comfortable and the owner was very kind. I would definitely recommend this home to other people wanting to visit Kentucky.

Stayed here with son & girlfriend while doing bourbon trail, Churchill downs & downtown Louisville. House was very well equipped including things typically not available in VRBO. Nice property to get away from the city & relax!

Everything was advertised. Very clean, cute home, nice neighborhood. Yard was much bigger than expected. If we get to pass through again will definitely see if the listing is free.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about the property and owner! The neighborhood is quiet with fantastic historic charm about 15 minutes from downtown Louisville. The location was also close enough to day trip to Mammoth Cave National Park. The house has great front and back porches to enjoy the very large yard (which was full of fireflies, hummingbirds, and deer when we visited). The beds were high quality and both the office futon and pull out couch were perfect for our kids. The house is charming and comfortable and the owners were responsive and kind.
