Sweet, tiny, tidy cabin. Not much of a kitchen. Expensive for what it is.

These lovely new cabins are located in a private but easily accessible area. If you happen to be a birder, you will find this property especially appealing. I was there during fall migration and picked up many species during my morning walks with my dog. The property is very welcoming to dogs, and having a porch that was accessible from inside but not the outside gave us a spot where she could be outside and safe while I was doing things like cooking or making the bed. The hosts are wonderful, and go out of their way to solve any problems and make you feel welcome. All of midcoast Maine is easily accessible from here, making a variety of day trips available. But you can also easily spend a day just relaxing right at the cabin. This was a wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful time. We rented three cabins for and it was a perfect spot from which to explore the peninsula. Such great hosts too. It was an amazing time.

I don't think we've ever stayed at a rental that was as clean and as nice as this. Pamela and her family have beautiful cottages with just what you want for a weekend or even a few weeks. Porch, firepit, cornhole, etc were nice extras and there are so many places to explore from here.

Heron Nest was just as advertised. New, spotless, roomy for our family of four, (parents and college age kids). Had never used an invection stove-top, it was super easy, and we loved it! Plenty of hot water. Location was great for visiting sites on the Mid-coast of Maine. We hope to return to Heron Nest!

The cottage was very adorably decorated and in a great location for exploring the area. Post this hurry, dating and available. We were three adults and a dog, so the space was a bit crowded for us. I would caution chefs about doing a lot of cooking, as there’s a two burner induction cooktop that lives in a closet and very little counter space. I’d stay there again, but not haul so much food to cook with me.

Great little cabins nestled in the woods! Our cabin had a downstairs king sized bed in a bedroom and a loft area with 2 full size beds. Secluded area, but close enough to the water and Damariscotta for easy access. We loved the covered back porch. My dogs also really enjoyed our daily walks around the property.

Super cute, cozy, peaceful, very clean with everything we needed, and pet friendly! Close to many different areas of interest. We really enjoyed our stay.

We spent several nights in the Heron's Nest cottage and had a fantastic stay. Cabins are exactly as pictured, new and spotlessly clean with very comfortable furnishings including a king sized bed and air conditioner. There is lots of space to enjoy the outdoors on the property and so much to do in the area - I second the previous review about the Laverna Preserve down the road, a great hike! It has all the dishes and cooking utensils you need to make meals but make sure to bring any toiletries/kitchen extras (hand/shower soap, shampoo, tin foil, etc) with you as those are not provided and nearby stores are smaller with limited hours.

I was originally looking to stay in either Camden or Bath but I waited too long and I couldn't find anything. I'm so happy it worked out this way! The cabin is perfect! The location is amazing! We did a day trip to monhegan Island and it was absolutely amazing and the ferry was just a few minutes away. You can drive in any direction and find amazing restaurants and beautiful scenery. This cabin would easily accommodate a family of four. Well equipped and the beds were super comfy. We loved every minute of it.

We could not have had a better stay at the cabin. Our three kids loved hiking around the property, catching fireflies and frogs, making a fire and roasting marshmallows, and just chilling at the cabin. The host was extremely helpful, even loaning us a coffee grinder when we realized we forgot ours. The location allowed easy day trips and there’s a wonderful hike nearby at Laverna Preserve. The cabin was clean, well appointed and had plenty of space for our family plus dog! We would love to return.

We had a great stay- the cabins were beautiful and well appointed, and we loved listening to the sound of the frogs at night. It’s a great location for a relaxing break. We hope to return!

We stayed at The Heron's Nest cottage for 4 nights with our two pups, the entire experience was magical. The ground was beautiful and relaxing, the cottage was spotless clean and our pups loved being free (our pups are well trained on commands) to roam along side us. We will definitely stay here while in the area in the future. Thank you Pam for hosting us and our pups!

A very clean cottage in a great location.

This cabin was absolutely wonderful. It was super clean when we arrived, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook, and it was so peaceful and quiet! I loved walking the property with my pup and enjoying the sounds of nature. Ocean views are just a few miles down the road. The LaVerna hiking trail with beautiful views is also right down the road and a great early morning hike. Since it was so close I went for a walk every morning while we were there and had the trail all to myself! I highly recommend these cabins to anyone looking for a great little getaway. We managed to make pretty good xmas dinner with limited supplies and cottage has verity of pans and pots. Also place is pet friendly, our cat was on the mission to look out from every window. And view is really beautiful, everything was covered in snow. Pamela's son was kind enough to clean our entry since it snowed on xmas day. Pamela herself is really nice and easy to communicate with. She answered to all questions, respond quick and was really helpful. Ten stars out of 5. Coming back again!

This was our first time trying VRBO and traveling with our dogs, a Miniature Pincher and a Labradoodle. We were very pleased with the area and cottage as It was the perfect size for our needs. Fun was had by all. We will be recommending this property to our friends and relatives who may be planning a trip to Maine.

This made an excellent base for exploring the region. It was clean and comfortable, tastefully decorated, and well equipped. The teens enjoyed having their own loft space. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. The setting was relaxing and the area was full of the kinds of natural/historic sites we enjoy.

The cabin was perfect. Clean and fun! Great location and easy to get places.

We had a great visit. I would love to have this exact layout cabin on my own property back home. We did have some hiccups with the WiFi . We also had small cars; If a guest had a truck of larger vehicle, parking could be a problem.
