The house has potential but is not well kept- there is so much that needs to be fixed and someone needs to deep clean the home- at least sweep and dust!! My family loves Deep Creek Lake but we will never stay at the Lazy Moose again. Don’t waste your money on this place.

The mighty moose head was amazing. The loft was great for our 2 teenage granddaughters. The game room was nice. The upstairs and mattresses was sufficient.

We went for a weekend to ski, the moose in the house is really cool and the wood walls make the house unique. No complaints.

We had such a wonderful time at the Lazy Moose! The house was beautiful and the view was just breath taking! We traveled with little ones who ooh-ed and ahh-ed at the wonderful Moose above the fireplace -- it was a big hit! The wood burning stone fireplace was fantastic and the gas fireplace in the basement was cozy too. The pool table and jacuzzi were great. We are VRBO landlords as well for a beach property so we appreciated the easy check-in process and wonderful follow up. Our only constructive remarks have to do with the kitchen ~ we don't think the refrigerator is cooling the way it should and some sort of storage piece to the left of the stove would go along way to add additional counterspace and storage. House was clean, hot tub was enjoyed, grill was great, view of the lake was better than expected. And the neighborhood was very nice. Great location, as well.

Not very clean
Bathtubs were badly stained, rooms were smaller than pictured and we found dirty used and soiled underwear in multiple locations including under the children’s bed . Thank goodness they didn’t see them, we didn’t notice till we were packing to leave and were checking to see if we dropped anything! Will not stay there again!

Nice weekend getaway!
Great location convenient short drive to restaurants and shopping. Property well maintained. They were prepping deck for staining when we were there. Overall, it was a nice place and we would go back.

I chose to spend my birthday in this cabin with a few friends and we had a great time. The space is exactly as presented in the pictures and the space was perfect. We were able to gather without feeling crowded and could separate when we wanted privacy. The property manager was very responsive and we had everything we needed. There was also a Walmart Super Center only 10 minutes away which make this perfect for us. The view of the lake from the cabin deck is also breathtaking.

Some major things at the house (I.e. hot tub!) were not functioning when we arrived. Things were still left by the door from the last stay (first laundry). Getting ahold of the property management team was quite difficult, and they are not very responsive! Been over a week and still trying to get someone to call me back re a resolution.
