Loved, loved, loved the location and million dollar view - close to pier and Big Daddy's for easy access. Pool was a big hit with both adults and kids. Very comfortable - few issues that were resolved fairly quickly - broken lounge chairs were replaced after notifying Liz - should have requested bigger coffee maker (4 cup not big encough :-) Obviously a busy vacation rental with normal wear and tear.

We loved our stay here! Pictures were accurate. Only thing we didn’t realize before booking is that you have to go outside to go between the main level and bedrooms downstairs. But the pool was amazing, deck was awesome, kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for a place to stay that is convenient to everything, this is the spot. Plenty of room for big families or multiple guests. Beautiful views of the ocean and the pier from deck. Kids enjoyed swimming around in the pool. And having personal beach access is a plus. We all enjoyed our stay here!

Second year. We did have a maintenance issue but it was resolved in half a day. Great location and the pool is a real plus.

We had a great stay. The proximity to the beach as well as the private pool were perfect. Everyone had a great time and hope to return soon. Management was responsive to any issues and resolved things quickly.

The place and view were great. Clean, plenty of room for the family. Pool was great but no railings at steps for and older person. I am 81 and had a problem getting in & out of pool. Not having stairs inside for the bottom area is a little inconvenient when it's raining and you have a 1 yr. old infant and have to come outside to get to upper level. Otherwise family really enjoyed the area and vacation and would recommend for a family that do not have infants.

It was a very nice spacious house. The garage ceiling is a bit low, so we needed to watch out when opening the trunk of our car after the fact we had scratched a bit on the trunk. The smoke alarm was a bit sensitive. Although the carpet in the living room needs a bit of a cleaning I think, over all it was a very clean and nicely maintained house, and we all enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Sea Monster. We had plenty of room for our family group of 6 plus family dog. The kitchen is well equipped. The property was clean and nicely, although simply, decorated. We did not use the pool as in late March the weather is too cool. The location is convenient. Several relatively individual minor issues: the hallway bathroom door needs to be reset so it closes properly; batteries needed for remotes to allow the fans/lights to be operated; explain in house info which thermostats cover which rooms; the house description should indicate there is no internal stairway between the upper and lower living areas; clean up dog droppings when previous visitors do not. Improvements to consider: install gates on second floor decks; repair/replace portions of private walkway to the beach which are cracked/rotted; repace well worn, inoperable beach chairs.

Even though the weather was not cooperative, we had a great stay in beautiful Kure Beach! The house was lovely, spacious, and well-equipped with a great porch, kitchen, and plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms!

We did a long weekend for a little getaway. The house was great and we enjoyed the beautiful views. We didn't use the pool or the downstairs due to the time of year and size of our party but it was a great space. I'd definitely recommend this property.

Great access to beach, and view of the beach. House was nice and clean. Only problem was the WiFi didn't have internet access which affected our phones and TVs.

My family and I loved staying at the Sea Monster beach house. The oceanfront views were breathtaking and the home is very spacious for a large family. We enjoyed being within walking distance to a few restaurants and the arcade and pier! The management was very efficient when we reached out to them! We loved it so much we booked an extra day . We would definitely book another vacation at the Sea Monster beach house!

Except for a few minor items that needed attention or were not working properly, the location and accommodations were great! The pool and accessibility to the beach were second to none. We definitely would rent this VRBO again as it was great for our entire family of 10 which included grandkids ages 4 through 9.

The location was great and having a private pool was perfect. The house and property just need some minor updates. The newly added bathroom downstairs toilet needed tightened up it was tipping. The deck and beach walkway had nails sticking out that needed hammered in. The room rugs and were in pretty bad shape. They were having issues with the pool but the pool cleaning service was there about every other day. No major issues with the property but for the nice was expecting nicer furnishings.

The house was very convenient and wonderfully stocked. The few items that needed attention were dealt with within a few hours. We are coming back!

Our 3 generation family of 9 had a great week at Sea Monster. We loved having separate space for the kids (9-15), the closeness of the beach, the deck overlooking the ocean, and the pool. There were a few cleanliness issues that are to be expected after a number of weeks of summer rentals but nothing that we couldn't handle.

Really had a great time and property owner/manager (Liz) very responsive and timely. Only suggestions would be: (1) that rugs in living and dining areas are spotted and needs replaced w cleaner, newer inexpensive indoor/outdoor type rug. A consensus opinion from all visitors. (2) clean up and remove stuff under deck and on south side of house behind trash cans. This property is definitely a 4 Star rental and w a few inexpensive improvements (rugs and cleaning up stuff under deck) would be a five star gem. All in all … enjoyed this rental . Pool and beach access were great

The house itself was nice, however.. there were roaches in the house. One of the bedroom drawers had a bag of "smokable" priduct in it, which tells me house keeping didn't do so great. There were glass end tables in the living room that leaned because they were broken and one fell on one of the children. Lots of things need to be addressed here.

Had a great week at Sea Monster. Perfect place to host family. Can not beat location with so much within walking distance. Would highly recommend and plan to return

Perfect place for my friends and family including our Doodle. Have stayed at Sea Monster many times but this is our first time since the updates and they were fabulous! 2nd bathroom downstairs and the separation of the front porch were huge improvements. Just a couple of minor issues- the main door into the upstairs was difficult to operate and the main bathroom door did not lock. Also the dining room chairs were flimsy and no hot pads in kitchen. Upon arrival we had issues with WiFi which I need as I work on vacation but Liz was very responsive and we were able to get it corrected. We always LOVE staying at the Sea Monster and will definitely return.

Three generations of our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of room to spread out or gather together - whatever we were in the mood for. Communication with management was VERY good - super speedy responses.

Really enjoyed this home. Wish the pool was heated and the two floors were connected from within the home but wonderful home still. The property manager for very quick and responsive to help and address any issues. Thanks Liz. Would stay here again for sure.

The house is well equipped with a beautiful view! While off season, we still had a couple of restaurants we could walk to and several others within a 5-minute drive. Also, close to the Fort Fisher ferry to Southport and aquarium.

The location is great but the property has some issues. Overall cleanliness was the biggest issue, it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. The master bathroom was okay but the second bathroom on the main floor was not great and the bathroom on the ground floor was terrible. We had to deal with some drain and toilet issues, which the property manager fixed in a timely manner, but these sort of things should be checked prior to a stay. Additionally, I was glad to know the property was sprayed for bugs but finding a dozen plus dead palmetto’s upon arrival stinks. The bedrooms were decent but the main sitting area was well worn and the tv had terrible sound quality. Very convenient to the Kure Beach Pier area and the beach is great but will pass on this property next time.
