Very relaxing four day stay. Used the cabin as a Basecamp to explore the area mountain streams. Very quiet location. Only a short drive into the village of Stowe.

We loved our stay in the cabin in the woods! It was the perfect combination of privacy but being close to restaurants, breweries and hikes!

Property gave us a base to enjoy Mt Mansfield/Stowe area. Owners provided us with a worry free vacation.

Perfect stay for us (a couple who took the room and 2 friends who took the loft). 5 min from Stowe, laundry on site, simple and convenient. Great communication.

Cabin is quiet and cozy and on gorgeous, private location tucked in by river. We skied daily and retreated to the comfy cabin and found it perfect especially since we were allowed to bring our dog. Movies on the big screen were great. Some of the dishes /utensils were not well cleaned likely by other guests, and kitchen could use some updating, but overall we appreciated the charm of this place and noticed some new updates in process. We would likely stay again in the future.

we usually stay at hotels up there but wanted to try something different. Was a good experience and we will do it again. my kids loved the balcony sleeping area we put 3 of them up there.

Great location in stowe vt. Nice clean cabin and pet friendly. Convenient to many restaurants in the area.
Highly recommended!

This cabins location is amazing! It is located right in the center of everything! But off the beaten path as well which is what we were looking for. One way is Stowe mountain. The other way is down town restaurants and shops. There is a convenient store and restaurant literally right down the street and the restaurant was delicious! The river out back is absolutely breathtaking! Our older dog came with us on the vaca and she felt right at home! As for the cabin. We weren’t there to hang out in the house. So it was perfect for us to sleep and explore. It is right above a garage so there is a musty smell. Which is to be expected. I bought a candle and opened the slider to help with that. The beds were nice and had clean linens. The shower had a little mold in it. But it wasn’t bad. I did feel the cabin itself inside could have been a little cleaner for the amount we payed. The mold in shower can easily be taken care of with a good cleaner and scrub. Overall this was a great trip for a family and I was so happy with the location of the cabin! I didn’t realize until we started exploring how close the cabin was to everything! The fire pits outside were awesome! I read the reviews prior to our stay. And I will say it seems management has tried to address each review at the cabin. We would definitely stay here again! The river and location are hard to beat. Also the cabin being dog friendly is a huggggge plus. We enjoyed ourselves!

I liked the location. Convenient to get around. The stream on the property was what I hoped for.The cabin was rustic. If I was to looking to purchase it, it would be classified as a fixer-upper. That doesn't mean it was falling apart, but a lot of the workmanship was lacking at this price point. There is obviously a mold problem in the shower, which is fairly odorific when returning to a closed up structure at the end of the day. The railings at the loft and the porch are not up to code regarding small children. Other than the issues above, we were able to relax. We enjoyed using the wood burning stove, and the bed was comfortable. We never figured out the tv, and were unable to turn it off. Not really a problem since this is not why we came.

The property was overgrown. The house had a musty smell. The bathroom did not have enough lights in it to see, and it did not look the way that the picture showed we checked out a day early because we were not satisfied with the place.

We had a fabulous time in this cute cabin in the woods. We stayed in July and we’re so close to so many hiking trails. The West Branch River is right in the backyard. Just beautiful and so refreshing after long hikes. We stayed with our dog and 1 year old. It fit all of our needs. There was a great restaurant and convenient store down the street. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved this house and staying here. The location is amazing, close to town and to the mountains for hiking. Mountain biking so close - you could literally ride your bike to trails. The stream in the yard was so fun and we would have afternoon soaks after a long hike/ride/run. Our kids loved it and they loved the loft room. My older son could fish in the stream right in back and we enjoyed our morning coffee by the stream. We loved it so much we extended our stay a day - wish it could have been longer. We will be back!

We stayed over MLK weekend with our 2 teenagers and 2 dogs. This property is ideally situated very closely to Stowe and was dog friendly, with a great hike for dogs at the top of the hill. Very appreciative that the owners allowed dogs and teenagers, hahaha. It’s a rustic charming small cabin that we thoroughly enjoyed! Nice new towels and the beds were comfortable, bring your own paper towels, Kleenex and bath soap! 4 wheel or all wheel drive is a must for the driveway.

Beautiful location but the cabin is somewhat dated and worn. The lighting inside was very dim. The kitchen only had 4 small spotlights from a cathedral ceiling. It was so dark we had to use the flashlight on our cell phone to see see the switches on the stove and toaster oven, as well as locating cups, dishes, pots, and pans in the cabinets. In the bathroom, we could barely see our face in the mirror. The unit was lacking some basic necessities, such as paper towels, tissues, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, and a cutting board in the kitchen. All of these issues can be fixed!

My wife and I stayed 4 nights. Rustic, quiet, and perfect for us. Loved sitting by the mountain stream and easy access to stowe and surrounding areas.

My wife myself and our 2 dogs had an awesome stay here. Just 10 minutes from main st stowe, very close to a ton of great hiking trails there was plenty to do. The property is fantastic, with ultimate privacy and space outside. The river/creek that runs through the property was amazing. We would go there after our hikes and after dinner. The pups had a blast playing in the water(as We did too) With a firepit right there and star gazing we most certainly will be staying here again when we travel back to stowe

A Wonderful Cabin
My family and I typically go to Vermont in the ski season, but this was our first time traveling in the summer. Our hope was the cabin would be in a relaxed setting and near Stowe resort. Both were fulfilled! We arrived late evening, however we were able to communicate with the property manager as we couldn’t find the key. We loved the location of this cabin and went to the river every day with my toddler & dog. Even the sound of river was quite tranquil. It was great space for a family of 3, plus a dog & friend. The fire pit could’ve used some furniture, but it was a nice way to bring everyone together on a rainy night. We will definitely come back!

Perfect Getaway
Went here with a few friends. It is in an amazing location. Right down the street is a small shop to get some last minute items. Its close enough to some of the best restaurants and hikes but also far enough away that you can also get the middle of nowhere feel too. I only had one issue, the property had a lot of poison ivy around the edges of the property that started to grow into some of the paths to the fire pit and stream, so watch your step. However, that’s to be expected in the woods.
We loved this place and are already planning another trip.

Amazing trip!
This is a perfect place for a small group/family. Located right between town and the resorts, you are about 5 minutes away from everything in both directions. There is a general store about 2 minutes away as well as a great restaurant/bar called The Matterhorn that serves pizza and sushi (odd combination I know, but its fantastic) that the maintenance guy at the house, Todd, works at and invited us down to. He was super friendly and told us all about the area, as was everyone else here.
The cabin is great, the fireplace and sound of the stream running are an incredible duo. They also have speakers around the house, as well as on the deck, that are great for when everyone is just hanging out or playing board games next to the fire like we did. We are already planning our next trip to stay here!!!
One note: the driveway is steep. We had a rental mini-van that was AWD, but we did actually get stuck at the bottom for a day. Most AWD vehicles will be fine, especially with the right tires, but just a heads up if you do have a mini-van or something similar and it is snowy/icy I advise you park at the top of the driveway. Other than that, amazing place, 10/10 recommend.

This house was nothing like we expected. We chose this house for our yearly VT getaway. This year as our Babymoon so based on other reviews, location, photos and price we thought we were splurging on a nice spot. We were wrong. The outside is all overgrown and not maintained, the inside is not up to code. The floors are dirty and unfinished with nails sticking out that tore my socks, going up the stairs is scary as there is no railing, there is black mold on the ceiling of the shower, dead bugs behind the toilet, cob webs and the slider door does not lock. We had to pre-wash any dishes that we wanted to use because they were not clean and the checkout instructions state to load the dishwasher (there is no dishwasher) take out the trash (where? there are no barrels), START A LOAD OF LAUNDRY (sheets etc) Why did we have to do all of this is we were chartged $106 in cleaning fees?? There ar4e also no curtains on the slider or kitchen windows so it felt unprivate and the curatins in the b3edroom do not fully cover the windows. Before bringing any of our belongings in the house or touching anything I felt necessary to disinfect all handles, switches and surfaces and used an extra comforter to cover the couch. We paid a total of $928 for two nights and feel completely ripped off. **We did not communicate with the property manager but a rating for that is required so we just put 4 stars.**

Relaxing weekend
We had a great weekend in Stowe! (9/17/21-9/19/21) This property is a fun, rustic, cabin in the woods, with plenty to explore - but still within 5-10 minutes drive to restaurants, breweries and plenty of hiking options. The creek running through the yard makes for relaxing sounds when you open the windows and sliding floor to the upper deck. The fire pit was a great addition for late night s'mores as well. The living area was spacious and cozy. The photos give a great representation of what to expect when you arrive. It was a fun weekend with friends!

Very rustic
Great location, but very rustic. Several lights were inoperable, furniture and kitchen is old and ‘rustic’. Floor is bare boards with the occasional nail head sticking up, halogen lights did not work over main kitchen table, place needs some maintenance, but nice location and setting. Also grounds seemed overgrown and unkept, I was okay alone, but would not bring a partner here. Needs some upgrades and/or maintenance. Trying to be honest.

Okay. Great location however
It’s a lot more rustic than the pictures suggest. It’s not the cleanest place. The pictures on the listing may be the best ever taken. However, once we got over some initial issues that the property manager Karolina helped with ( she is excellent) we had a good time. No dishwasher but there is a washer dryer, the bed was pretty comfortable and the kitchen usable. Great TV with basic cable and a Roku. Additional hdmi port for your own appleTv etc which we had. The highlights are the river literally a stones throw from the house which was wonderful, a great trail to a waterfall at the end of the road, a great little market at the end of the street and the cabin’s proximity to literally everything great in Stowe. The cabin needs TLC but we truthfully enjoyed it. If you like fancy I wouldn’t recommend it for you. We aren’t fancy!

Great location
This Cabin was the perfect place to stay to run a trail race held at the Trapp Family Lodge, just 10 minutes away. Additionally, we enjoyed the many trails right across the road and the creek out back to soak our legs in afterwards. It is also located near some favorite places to eat so the convenience was terrific. The cabin was was comfortable and more than everything the two of us needed. There is a huge tv which we wouldn't have expected enjoying but was great for a rainy afternoon. It does have some signatures of an older place (cobwebs in the far corners, a gap between window frame and screen we didn't notice at first and let in moths, much less lighting than in the picture) but overall comfortable enough for a weekend away.

Cabin in the woods
Stayed here in June and the weather was perfect for hiking on the many local trails. Home was a bit dirty. Lots of cobwebs and many dead flies on the windows.
