Love this condo!! We will be back.

We had a great time here with our kids and dog. The condo has been updated nicely with lots of nice features and a fully stocked kitchen. We will definitely keep this one high on list for future trips.

First, let me start by saying that I never leave bad reviews, EVER! After dealing with Vacasa on this rental I was left with a horrible customer service experience that has set this nasty review in motion!! We arrive to an absolute mess of a rental. The toilets have not been cleaned, there is unsanitary hair and urine on the toilet seats and pooled around the toilet base on the floor, the floors are unvacuumed in all areas of the rental, tables that have prior renters spills on them and sheets that were literally never changed. There were 6 of us and 2 towels. My first call to Vacasa 24/7 service (as they call it) was the night we got there. After numerous attempts and no contact back from Vacasa we finally got someone on the phone around 7:15. The customer service rep told me she would have fresh towels and sheets out immediately. Nothing ever showed up!! The next morning, I contacted them back again. We were promised compensation and fresh sheets and towels. The towels/sheets finally arrived a couple of hours later smelling like an absolute cigarette tray! I had to go buy detergent to wash the sheets on the beds and the 2 towels we had. Instead of using my vacation time to be on vacation, I used it cleaning this rental. Let me say, the rental itself outside of the uncleanliness was cute, nicely renovated and great location. Housekeeping needs tremendous work. Vacasa promised to contact me about compensation and never did. As I type this message I am on hold for a supervisor (after 32 mins). Supervisor has offered only the cleaning fees of a whopping $112.75 for compensation. While it is better than nothing, Vacasa and myself knows this wasn't sufficient enough for the mess my family and I had to go through in order to receive it. We will never rent a unit through this Vacation Rental Company again!!! Please let there be an upload spot for photos! I would be horrified if I owned this rental with the amount of money they are paying their rental management company and receiving this review.

Loved staying here. It has all the comforts of home and then some. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to anyone that needs a relaxing get away.

Loved our stay in Sugar Mountain, the condo was the perfect size for my hubby and I and our two dogs. It was quiet and peaceful. Perfectly decorated with everything we needed. My only suggestion is black out blinds for the bedroom! Definitely would recommend and return!

Great property in a great location! The condo complex is older, but this unit has been updated throughout and is a wonderful place to stay!

Would definitely recommend this place at Sugar Mountain. Close to great holes in the summer and other attractions. Or just stay in. This condo had all the amenities we needed. Great find! And no kitschy deer heads, bear references or other mountain stereotypes. Great decorating.

Unit was fully amenitized with dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker as well as shampoo & soap. The main tv had all streaming channels that you could sin in to and watch your shows. Close to grocery stores and restaurants while being up on sugar mountain with plenty of privacy. Can’t wait to go during the winter!

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here. It was fantastic. We love the fact that we can ski-in/ski-out. The condo overlooks the slopes and it great to watch the night time skiing. Everything was clean. It’s beautiful. We love staying at this particular condo!

Where do I start and what do I say? This place is top notch. What a view, sit in the kitchen and watch the slopes. Ski in and ski out. Kitchen is fully loaded. Nice mud room to leave skis, snowboards and boots. Nice deck you can also sit on with a cup of coffee or your favorite beverage. Nice area to walk your pet. Babbling stream outside deck that sounds so relaxing. Loved our stay here and will definitely go back. So close to Banner Elk and Boone.

We stayed here last year on the same weekend of the year. It was newer and very nice. This year it is apparent that some guests have not adhered to the smoking policy. The master bed and bathroom smelled like smoke and required us to air out the room in the cold weather (20-30F). We had previously recommended this condo to several friends but until this issue is resolved we won’t be staying here again.

I thought the condo was beautifully laid out and redone! Very clean. Beds very comfortable. The only reason for 4 stars was I tried to communicate with the seller right away about rescheduling (like the same day we booked) and then 2 more times. I never received a response. I even copied and pasted the emails to Vacasa. I've never had someone not respond at all. I would just ask that you check your messages. We ended up coming, bc we had to. The trip was to bring my son to visit App and he couldn't come, that is why I wanted to reschedule. As far as the condo, we needed almost nothing. However, a few small items needed for travelers coming from out of town: more than one trash bag, a bar of soap or shower gel for showers and hand soap for bathrooms. We used this Sugar Mountain condo as home base for summer fun in the mountains. It was super clean and had a stocked kitchen for making meals. We'd go back for sure. Thank you!

This location was great. There are a couple of things to be prepared for. There are no black out curtains for either bedroom and there are lights right outside the windows. So bring a sleep mask. The shower handle on the master shower liked to keep popping off, but we figured out a way around that. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and that was very appreciated. We loved the full size washer and dryer. The a/c was fantastic for this menopausal wife. It was a perfect place for us to bring our puppies. I can't say enough about the location. It was right in the middle of all the hiking that we wanted to do. However, I will say there is no real view for this unit. It backs up the slopes and during the winter I would say this would be perfect for ski in/ski out. Lots of storage for your skis and equipment. Overall it met all of our needs and we would go back to this unit during ski season the next time.

The location was excellent. The condo was not as clean as we expected but very nice AC wasn’t working but management had it fixed. There were three TVs but only The living room one had cable which made it very inconvenient. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much

Property was clean, and fully equipped, as we expected. The property manager was very helpful when checking into the unit, and responded quickly when we needed assistance accessing the streaming service. When we reported a frying pan scratched and unusable, they immediately contracted the owner who approved, not only a a frying pan replacement; but OK'ed the purchase of a new pots and pan set. It was provided the same afternoon. Very impressive!
