First impressions. Upon entering we were met with an extremely strong smell of bleach. A foul underlying odor mixed with the bleach on the second level.The bleach smell was strong enough to irritate our throats and nasal passages. The smells lasted over 24 hours. Ants on the kitchen counter increased each day to a disgusting amount despite the absence of any food source. We had to keep our coffee supplies in the refrigerator to avoid the ants! The screen on the door of the outside eating porch was ripped open. I answered a cleanliness survey soon after arriving mentioning the ants and damaged screen. On a casual glance, at that time, the property appeared clean. The bath and kitchen counters/appliances were clean enough. However, after the survey, we discovered that the dishwasher contained dirty dishes, the furniture was very dusty and the floors were gritty and needed mopping. Thankfully we had family staying at another property in Avon, so we only slept, showered and made morning coffee at the Blue Seas. Considering the cost to rent this propery we were very disappointed with these circumstances and would never re-book or recommend this property! Honestly.

We enjoyed our stay in avon however the home had a few issues we couldn't over look. Our fresh made bed had hair under the blanket on the sheet when we checked in and not just one. Also on our 2nd day therw we foumd several roaches in and on the property. When i called to complain i was told someone from the local management would contact me yet nobody did..all they did was refund me my cleaning fee. We checked out early on Saturday morning at 2 am because we were upset that we had to spend the rest of the vacation like that. When i called then Saturday they told me that someone did call me and they sent someone over to spray yet i assure you nobody called me and i wish they had we would of liked to have been relocated or refunded so we could find somewhere else to stay rather than staying there waitimg for the next bug to make its appearance. We unfortunately won't be staying with vacasa until someone reaches out to us with an explanation

We loved the house overall everything we needed , beautiful view , easy walk over to the beach , overall comfortable . Only issue was the TVs very small , poor cable channels and dvd not working .

It was my husband, daughter, and I in the house all to ourselves and we enjoyed it so much. There are minor flaws, but any reasonable person would be happy here. Watching the stars at night in the jacuzzi was the best, we saw so many shooting stars! You can actually see the Hatteras lighthouse from the lower balcony at night also. We couldn't get the WiFi to work but our phones had data, so it was fine. Someone more tech savy probably could've made it work. We fed a family of stay cats just like the renters before us had done (so precious!), but bring bug spray because we got tons of mosquito bites, but the sprays should keep that from happening. We are considering staying here again next summer because it was such a nice time.

We liked the location. Kitchen had just about everything you need. Well stocked with books, games and movies. Hot tub was nice. The only suggestion, and it is very minor, the tv’s could be upgraded.

Was very happy with this house. Dated but suited us perfectly. Hot tub was clean and very enjoyable. Loved the layout and the views. Kitchen was very well stocked. If we could buy it, we would. Only negative was the cable box downstairs. Error that couldn’t be cleared.

We loved our stay! The house was great!! It had everything we wanted and needed! We are big cooks and the kitchen set up was perfect! We will stay there again!! Wonderful!!

Blue Seas had everything we needed in a vacation home. This was our second stay and we will be back. Kitchen is completely stocked, house was clean and we love the location! 10/10 recommend

Good location and nicely equipped for fixing meals in.

The house was great. The problem was being eaten alive by the bugs as soon as you get out of your car or the house. Definitely needs some sort of bug control!

Great location right by the gas station and ORV ramp. Short drive to Buxton and the point.

Everything was absolutely wonderful about this property and the location of it! The home was equipped with everything we needed and the location could not have been beat! It was less than a mile from a grocery store and less than a block from ramp 38 for drive on beach access. We will definitely be back!!

My family and I loved our stay at this house. So easy to get to the beach, and the hot tub was our late afternoon ritual. The roof deck views are excellent for sunsets. We will definitely be coming back to OBX. Only two small issues. After a long drive, we had to make all the beds (sheets crated outside) and it was unclear if the blankets were even clean, as they were strewn across the bedroom floors. Also, a gas grill on the deck would be a big and easy improvement.

This was our first time staying in OBX. Avon is a wonderful little town, and the VERY short walk to the beach is amazing. The house is stunning, very spacious. It has everything you need. Dishes, washer/dryer, pots/pans, hot tub.... all great. There were a few ants in the kitchen, but that was nothing. I was irritated to find some dirty dishes in the cupboard and a dishwasher full of dirty dishes but that's on whoever stayed there before me as any renter is supposed to run the dish washer before leaving. I was unaware Avon was an hour south of all the really touristy stuff, so we had to do a bit of driving a few days but that's OK. Would recommend to anyone!

Spent Thanksgiving week at this cottage for the 2nd time. Very well kept and conveniently located to the sites of Avon. Short walk to Ramp 38 and a very quick drive to the Hatteras Lighthouse. House has all the amenities one needs for a pleasant stay at the great Outer Banks.
