It was an amazing home and great stay for my friends and I. While we were there it did snow 12” and the property and remote driveway was plowed/cleared by mid morning for us to still go ski. Thank you for letting us stay here.

We just returned from a comfortable and pleasant 5 day stay. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 3 kids (5, 7 and 7). We had a great trip and enjoyed staying at this property. Positives: There was plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. The kids enjoyed playing outside and the 3rd floor playroom. We liked the proximity to Stratton for skiing and other activities. Negatives: The house has some safety issues for families with young kids (this might be featured in the description but in case it's not- there is a pond on the property without fencing, and the wooden staircase in the house has no railing and is somewhat slippery (all bedrooms are on 2nd and 3rd floors). Finally, the house is accessed via an unpaved road. Depending on the weather, you may need an all wheel drive, high clearance vehicle (this could be applicable in warm weather due to mud or in cold weather due to snow).

Even better than described in VRBO. The property and house are beautiful and located close to several mountains. The home was well kept and stocked. Our family had one of our best vacations EVER at this property and highly recommend.

Great weekend getaway at this property with family, something for everybody. Great hiking relatively close, golfing, fishing, and the pond on the property was great for the younger folks. We even lost power one night (where the generator kicked in immediately) and Amelia reached out to make sure we were all set. Beautiful area and would highly recommend.

Me and my childhood buddies booked this place for 3 nights. We all wanted to get away, reconnect with each other and enjoy nature. This was a fantastic place to do that! We had such an amazing time and came back relaxed and recharged. The house was gorgeous and very inviting. It had everything you would need to stay the weekend. The kitchen had state of the art equipment, kitchen utensils and little things you might need like salt or pepper. There was even a generous welcome basket full of Vermont maple syrup and pancake mix. We very much enjoyed whipping up some pancakes in the morning. You can tel the owners really tried to go the extra mile. The house even had extra towels and blankets to use when needed and a washer and dryer. Little things like that made the stay very nice and easy. I can keep gushing about the house but let’s talk about the property. It was absolutely everything we wanted. Eight acres of land with a stream in the back yard and a private swimming pond in the front. The swimming pond was a perfect temperature to swim in and very clean. The River running through the back yard was rushing fast because of all the previous rain and it was nice to sit with a cup of tea and listen to. The yard is plenary big for alot of fun yard games. The patio is also very nice and comes with a full gas grill. Also I’ll quickly mention the fire pit and hammock were also greatly enjoyed. There is also a hot tub that is perfect to hangout in at night. If you somehow get bored with their property there is a bigger lake with many hiking trails that is right next door. We hiked around the lake and it was a great work out. Then went back to swim in the swimming pond. All around this place was worth every penny and the owners were super cooperative and nice. This was an amassing summer trip I’m glad me and my friends got to share and we would love to stay here again in the future. If you have the chance. Book this place now. Then thank me.

Our family spent a few nights at the property during February vacation and had a great experience. The location is serene, the house is beautiful, the hot tub is fantastic, and the hosts were easy to reach and helpful addressing our concerns (getting the place ready for an early check in, snowblowing + shoveling + plowing overnight snow). A few points to note that were not clear in the description: - The house is not baby proof. The layout of the stairs is relatively dangerous, with a few drop offs without railings. It would be very difficult to block these off. A family with a young toddler should be very wary about staying here (as should guests who plan on getting heavily inebriated). Our 3.5 and 8 year olds were fine, but it was definitely something we had to consider. - Laundry is not accessible to short term renters. The basement is locked off, and laundry is in the basement. I believe they provide access for longer stays. - As this is a new rental, there were a few items that were missing that we had to pick up (eg sponges) that will probably be better covered as they have more renters. - Winter visitors should at a minimum have good snow tires. The house is off a dirt road, and conditions can be dicey. We had no problem getting to the house with our front wheel drive minivan with snow tires. However, after overnight snow/ice we were not able to make it up the hill on the way we came in (from the south). Luckily we were able to head north on the road and make it out. All that said, we loved the place and would be happy to stay there again.
