The apartment had had every amenity you could want and was a wonderful place to explore Acadia from. The host was also wonderful to communicate with, and described the listing perfectly.

The nest was the perfect place for our little girls trip! It was close to where we wanted to go and was clean, organized and well stocked! The host was quick to reply to inquiries and willing to help in anyway possible! We definitely want to come back and experience the island in season!

Great property, very clean and comfortable. Especially enjoyed the location, away from the congestion of bar harbor but close enough to access. Many amenities and thoughtful touches. Only issue was the outside grill, needed a thorough cleaning, didn’t use because of that.

This apartment is so beautiful, it really felt like staying at the home of a friend. We were floored when we walked in! Our family (young kids) had plenty of space and we were so comfortable. The kitchen has everything you would need (we cooked for ourselves and packed lunches a lot) and the hosts were very generous with all of the details - beach towels and chairs, games and books, laundry detergent, condiments, etc. The laundry is great, and right in a large bathroom as you walk in the back, so it was really easy to come in from a day hiking and get everyone clean quickly. Everyone in the Rusticator (lovely store) below was so kind and welcoming. Seal Harbor is a quieter spot, which we loved, and you can walk right down to the beach, and up to a fun kids store, post office, and outdoor/ice cream shop. We felt so lucky to have found this spot, and would absolutely stay here again. We had an amazing week. Thank you!

We loved The Nest!! It was very cozy and comfy. It has every little thing you could think of, even down to sunscreen, bug repellent and a flashlight for sunrise on top of Cadillac Mtn!! They’ve thought of everything! Loved the decor, loved the location! Absolutely hope to revisit the area and stay at The Nest again!

Lovely apartment— with super comfortable furniture and fabulous lighting and surrounds — all tastefully done. Enjoyed the peacefulness of a quiet harbor and proximity to carriage roads that time of year. I highly recommend!

This was the perfect vacation home for our family of four! It is a delightful second floor apartment on the edge of Acadia National Park. We biked into the Park and had short drives to Northeast Harbor, Bar Harbor, all the Park hiking trailheads and everything else Mount Desert Island has to offer. The apartment was spotless and felt just like home. We had great weather but would have been very happy hanging out in the apartment if it had turned out to be rainy. We loved it!

My 2 sons and I stayed at The Nest for 3 nights while visiting Acadia National Park. This home exceeded our expectations! Beautifully decorated. Comfortable. Everything we needed. Great location. Plenty of room for 3 adults - my sons stayed in the twin room and I enjoyed the master. It was perfect.

Beautiful, well-appointed apartment in a great location. Easy access to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Very comfortable and clean. The only thing lacking was quality pots and pans in good condition, so if you enjoy cooking you may want to consider bringing your own.

I spent a weekend with a friend at the “The nest” it was beyond our expectations. Excellent location (10 to 15 mins most places on bar harbor) and a well-kept home with a neat history. The biggest thing any hiker wants after a long day on the trail is a comfy bed, and the nest did not disappointment. Thanks for a great stay!

The apartment was homey with adequate space for our family of four including two adult children. Though it was cold and windy outside we were warm inside. The location is close to places to walk and hike.

This beautifully decorated apartment is fully stocked and perfectly situated for exploring both Acadia National Park and the quiet side of the island as well. Everything you need to cook is readily available in the kitchen and the apartment is spotless. Much thought went into setting up the space for vacationers and it’s so evident. Comfortable beds and the main living space seems so spacious due to the high ceilings and openness of the space. Property owners are very responsive to inquiries. Park entrance is very close and Seal Harbor beach is in easy walking distance. Will definitely return if visiting the area again. Don’t hesitate to book this spot….it will not disappoint!

We went to Acadia the 2nd week in October to enjoy the area during fall foliage and cooler weather. We needed a good base camp to return to each day, and this was certainly it. A few specifics: about 12-15 minutes outside Bar Harbor, so a little secluded from that town’s offerings; parking around back of The Nest requires a climb of several levels of stairs; very quiet and cozy - again, great for us to relax after a long day out, and all the amenities to start the next morning. Very modern furnishings while giving a nod to the rustic life we craved. We frequently turned left (east) out of the driveway, but turn right and enjoy Seal Harbor views just down the road. We visited the area at the perfect time - but many of the area restaurants and attractions were closing for the season within days of our trip’s end, so plan accordingly. We would stay here again without hesitation.

This property was absolutely perfect for our trip to Acadia — minutes to the park entrance and a quick drive to Bar Harbor. The property was equipped with everything we needed and communication was seamless the whole time. This was one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed!

We had a wonderful stay at this very comfortable home. It is the perfect location away from crowds at Bar Harbor yet close enough to visit Acadia, Northeast Harbor and Southwest Harbor. Great coffee at McGrath’s and donuts at Colonel’s! A definite must stay!!

We live in NYC and getting out of the city for a summer getaway is always something we look forward to and The Nest did not disappoint. The 2nd level apartment is very well designed, built and clean. It had everything we needed from Wifi access, TV with subscriptions, front porch, back porch, sitting area, eating area, gas grill, comfy blankets and beds and an equipped kitchen for making meals. They even provided the perfect weather for the week. Upper 70's to low 80's during the day and low 60's at night with only 1 day of rain. We truly loved it!

Wonderful experience staying at the Nest! Kids enjoyed walking to the sand beach just down the street and exploring the local shops (also walking distance). Around the corner from park entrance and easy drive to Bar Harbor or Northeast Harbor. Apartment is beautifully decorated and well-organized with everything you need for your stay! Karen was a wonderful host and very communicative leading up to our stay. Would definitely recommend!

The Nest feels like home. It is nicely decorated and well equipped. More so than any other home I've rented on MDI, and I've rented many over the years. It is also very comfy: bed, linens, lighting, temperature, etc. The location to Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Park Loop Road and several trails is great too!
