My two lady friends and I wanted to try something in the mountains vs the beach for a long weekend trip. This cabin was definitely in the woods, but we absolutely loved it! It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated in a woodsy, bear theme, and was well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The location was not far from the Wintergreen Resort, which offered a restaurant and bar area, plus some live music. We spent one day on Route 151, doing wine tastings, ciders and brewery visits, but our favorite thing was sitting on the large, lovely front porch, in the most comfy rocking chairs, enjoying girl talk over coffee in the mornings and wine down time in the evenings! The beds were comfy and every bedroom boasted a ceiling fan with remote control, just perfect for the “hot-flashy” gals in our group! We absolutely did NOT want to leave, will definitely return, and made lasting memories, for sure! Thank you, Nancy, for allowing us to share in your little piece of Heaven! ❤️

We only stayed one night but it was a great stop along the way. Very clean, very comfortable.. super quiet spot if you’re not into a lot of people. I wish we could have stayed a couple more nights!

The property was immaculate and well stocked with all the necessities and had anything you might need. Very picturesque location and wonderful views of the mountains. We Loved it and will come again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The grill was really nice to have. The internet was reliable and we had no issues with four people using it. The owner was quick to respond and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this to anyone

We drove the Shenandoah and BlueRidge Parkways to Asheville. The final nite we stayed in this lovely home. I Wish we had done two bites and had been able to use the pool and hot tub in the spa not far away. The home is well appointed and well maintained. It was great.

Felt right at home as soon as we walked in. Our best rental experience yet in terms of cleanliness and overall accommodations.

We were so comfortable with our stay in Wintergreen. The house had everything we needed and then some. The fireplace made our evenings so cozy. A wonderful property close to hiking, Nature Center, and Mountain Inn. Wintergreen Drive is very well maintained and the reflectors in the road at night made driving so much easier that most mountain roads. We will return!

this was located on the wintergreen resort property so be ready for the cusrves and driving through the mountain. Everything was beautiful the place was very clean and super cozy. We enjoyed our stay, the beds were clean and comfy, the ammenities were great, no cpmaplaints at all!

The house was great and the property was beautiful. The only downside was the amount of time it took to get to local attractions. It is a very remote location and going even short distances as shown on a map takes a very long time.. I am from out of state and did not know the area so that one is on me.

Sparkling clean and well equipped home. Nancy could not have been more responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the front porch and the back deck, and really appreciated the gas grill. Fantastic stay close to everything at the top of the mountain.

We stayed at the home in Wintergreen for a wedding nearby and the home was everything and more than we needed. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The only thing that would have been nice to have was a full length mirror somewhere in the home. I highly recommend!

My family really enjoyed our stay in this very cozy, well appointed cabin. The cabin is beautiful and clean - the kitchen has everything you could possibly need for a week away (including a crock pot), the living area is very comfortable with a gas fireplace that turns on with the flip of a switch, cable television, board games and very comfortable beds. We would definitely plan to stay here the next time we come to Wintergreen!

We enjoyed our weekend getaway at this beautiful clean house. House is located in great area and close to several brewery and distillery. Will definitely rebook for another weekend getaway.

The cabin in the woods is a wonderful property. We found it spotless and loved the brand new and well stocked kitchen. Three spacious bedrooms were perfect for us. It must’ve been built very recently, and shows like new construction. We will be back!

Stay was wonderful

This cabin was perfect for our family of 4... parents + 16 yr old boy + 11 yr old girl. It has a much bigger feel than I expected. The open kitchen and family room area with the high ceiling is very welcoming and cozy. The cabin is well decorated with quality furniture and fixtures. You can tell that the owner really cares about the property and the happiness of their guests. Everything worked well, and the extras such as paper products and hand soaps provided were a great convenience. Location is great too! Nancy (the owner) is very responsive to any questions, and she allowed us the flexibility to bump our booking out by 1 day when we ran into some non-cabin related scheduling issues at the last minute. She even let us check in a little early since the cabin had been empty for a couple days. We would love to return to this cabin in the future, and I will definitely recommend it to any friends looking to visit Wintergreen.

This property exceeded our expectations. It looks like it was recently renovated and well taken care of. The home was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped. The books and games were an added bonus to keep the kids entertained. Highly recommend!

The property is even nicer than the pictures show. It has been recently updated and it is really cozy and modern at the same time. The appliances are all new and high quality. The house looked impeccable when we checked in. The manager was really flexible. We were allowed to check in about an hour earlier and, due to a winter storm, check out a couple of hours later. We definitely recommend this cabin for a family with many kids or two families with one kid each.

"The Cabin in the Woods" exceeded our expectations for a rental home in Wintergreen. The check in process was seamless with a touchpad door code. The home was easy to find and in a very convenient location within the resort, minutes from skiing and some great short hikes. We were greeted with freshly falling snow and it was just beautiful to watch from the large windows overlooking the deck. We loved the large greatroom seating area with comfy leather couches and gas fireplace. The kitchen had everything you need including starter paper products, cleaning supplies and condiments. Nancy had so many little extras and special touches, extra toiletries, snow brush and shovel, starter coffee, tea and hot chocolate, even a first aid kit when we needed a bandaid! Linens and towels were really nice for a rental and bedrooms were spacious. I highly recommend The Cabin in the Woods and host Nancy!

We were looking for a mini-vacation spot within 3 hours of DC and settled on Wintergreen. This house worked out perfectly for our 6-person family. Nicely updated kitchen with new appliances. Good-sized great room with a cozy fire...an A+ spot for board games and family movie night. A 3-minute drive to the ski lodge or a 20-minute walk. The location is ideal, and in summer months the golf course is just steps off the back deck. We will be back! Great spot.
