Reviewer Comments: The guest toilet was either used or not cleaned. sanitary label that stretches across the toilet seat was torn and laying in the bottom of the bowl. Rules for the hot tub list several penalties and are strictly enforced. The condition of the hot tub was cloudy, gritty, and smelled like fish. Which was a huge disappointment. The same for the fire pit yet the fire pit was full of water. The two features we enjoy the most were a complete letdown.

This home was amazing, and we did not want to leave. It was exactly as described. It was very well apointed, quiet, peaceful and the porch was our spot. Great home and highly recommend it!

We were looking forward to a few days in the mountains, but it was cut short due to our dog having a medical emergency. We didn’t even stay overnight, just packed up everything and left 😢. That being said, what I can say is that the cabin was beautiful and well-equipped. It was very secluded and quiet. There were some water issues, but maintenance came quickly and got the water working fine. We may return again sometime as it is a great area to go and unwind from the busyness of life!

Perfect place for me, my wife, our 2 small children and our 2 dogs to spread out and relax. House is clean, updated, well appointed, very private, and laid out very well inside and on the property. Doesn't have mountain or river views but the property itself is gorgeous and the back porch is a perfect spot for morning coffee and evening drinks. Hot tub is in a great spot. Close enough to Jefferson/West Jeff and our favorite part was the pleasant 30 minute drive to Grayson Highlands in VA. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is your spot. We would absolutely stay again.

Perfect location if you want to explore the mountains. Easy picturesque drives to Tennessee and Virginia. We loved it so much we extended our stay!

The cabin was amazing. Everything we needed was available. The outdoor area was beautiful and tidy. Having the washer and dryer available after our river trip was so convenient. Definitely would stay again and will recommend to friends.

The house was clean and ready for us and while we usually stay on the river, this quiet solitude was perfect for us. The house had everything we needed and as per the usual, the photos don’t do it enough justice. Not too big, not too small, with ample seating in various places like the rockers on the porch or the very nice Adirondack chairs by the fire. Switchback into the gravel drive was a little tricky for our vehicle but we still had very few problems in our Ford Flex (heavy, low to the ground, not the best mountain vehicle). We would absolutely stay here again and we will undoubtedly choose CMP for our next Jefferson area adventures!

Great little cabin that’s very private and quiet! Was clean, cute, and had everything we needed. Only thing would be to clarify the check out time as it’s listed in the book provided there as 10am and 11am, so we weren’t sure what time checkout really was. The book also didn’t have the wi fi network listed (only the password), but minor things that didn’t affect the stay too much. We’d stay again!

The house was very clean, linens were nice and the home was great and super comfy. The property is very private, and we enjoyed dinners on the back deck and fires in the fire pit. If you're there on a Sunday definitely check out River House which is only a few minutes away... live music and a 4-course meal in a beautiful setting.

Great little place tucked away in the mountains. Our dogs had a great time at the property as well. We all loved chill'n out on the deck in the evenings.

Relaxing quiet location. Clean and organized . Has everything you need. A bit far from most hikes but close enough to west Jeff to get out for supplies or dinner. Would be nice to be able to access new River but all nearby land is posted.

Kitchen well stocked with things needed to cook at home. Open concept living room/kitchen with nice large porch and fireplace/sitting areas in the yard. Yard well manicured. Beds are both king and comfy. A/C works great and fans on the porch. We enjoyed our short stay!
