Really enjoyed our stay at this property. The beach access was perfect and the outdoor seating was nice. This was our first time visiting this area of Michigan and we plan to return. Thank you!

Beautiful property.

Overall, the house is new, clean, and very cozy. It’s a small property, only 1 suite, there’s no real room for food storage (no pantry), so it’s tricky to have a larger group you need to feed. The only downsides, besides the size, are: 1) that the beach access for all the public is right next to your front door, so you hear people all day going up and down to and from the beach. 2) there are no window treatments to be used in the bedrooms. You will wake up with the sun. 3) the beach itself is a couple hundred yards from the back porch, and you will have to go down 50-60 steps in a wooden staircase. If you have elderly folks joining you, this could be a deal breaker. All in all, it’s a nice property for 1-2 couples at most.

We enjoyed our stay! It is an old house, but has been nicely renovated. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable, and location was terrific with easy access to a secluded beach. Kitchen was well stocked! Check in and check out we’re also very easy. Beach chairs and an exterior shower along with several board games were also a nice bonus. We would definitely stay here again when back in the area.

Hello, The location for the property could not have been better - in respects to the beach. We loved. The association access was right next to our place and the backyard isn’t that private - due to the comings and going’s of others in the neighborhood to access the beach. This should be a little clearer in the details. Due to the fact we were not there during busy season it wasn’t a big deal. But during season - would have been annoying. Clean and plenty of space. Backyard and deck and fire pit - great. Older property - of we were there during July - august or during high temp weeks during the summer - I do not think that central air / air conditions would have made it. The coolest it would get was 75 and due to the lower temps in the evenings and we only stayed 3 nights - was not a big deal, we would have called if we were going to stay longer. Again we paid for the location which was great, I do feel that the rental is overpriced during the time period we stayed and considering the things stated above. Loved this nice, clean, well appointed house for our week stay at the beach. Easy access to beach, great kitchen, loved the outdoor shower and large backyard.

The Gatehouse was a perfect place to spend a few weeks this summer! The house is nicely decorated, very clean, and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed spending our days on the beautiful beach and watching the sunsets every night. Kids loved the bunk room and the deck was the perfect place to grill out at the end of each day.
