Lovely house, great view of the water. Too cold to enjoy the outdoors but had fun playing board games and reading. It would have been nice if the fireplace was working.

We loved the location of the property and the gorgeous view! Would love to come back in the summer.

We absolutely loved thee house & the Sound. There were a couple of small maintenance issues- but nothing horrible. As mentioned in previous review the neighborhood dogs do roam free, followed our dogs on our walks & pooped in the yard- slightly frustrating but not terrible. Our main tip is this: we struggled all week thinking each room only had 2 bath towels- having to wash continuously- only to find a huge green bag stuffed in corner closet full of towels on our last night 😂 Look for the green bag!!!

The check-in process was great including a one hour earlier Check in. The rental company, VS VaCasa answered any questions we had quickly. The house is beautiful, and was very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped, which helped out because we cooked all but one of our meals there. The hot tub was very clean and well situated on the back deck with views overlooking the water. The only thing to be aware of; if you bring your dog or dogs, which we did, local dogs will randomly show up in your front and backyard, none of them were aggressive, but it's good to be aware of. Overall, we had a fabulous stay.

The house looks exactly like the pictures and had great bonuses like beach chairs, kayaks & corn hole. Short distance to food and souvenir shopping.

The property was very nice but we couldn’t walk our dogs because the neighbors let their two brown labs run loose all day. One of them even came onto the wrap around porch and up to the back door. The dogs also used the yard as their bathroom. We would definitely stay at this property again if we didn’t have to worry about loose dogs in the neighborhood.

Beautifully decorated, Reel Living is an updated older home in the older part of Avon with a comfortable layout and some really cool surprises like a tower with a futon and a work station! Accessibility was great for people with achy knees, with a reasonable number of steps to the first floor, where the kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms are located. Three roomy bedrooms upstairs had very comfy furnishings, en suites, and great views. The kitchen was well-stocked. The shaded deck offers fantastic soundfrount views. The grassy yard was perfect for rigging sailboarding equipment, and the little dock was great for launching kayaks and paddle boards. The owners thoughtfully include two kayaks, some bikes, and beach chairs for their renters. Our family has stayed in several houses in Avon, and Reel Living is by far our favorite.

House was amazing. The view out back is so spectacular especially at sunset. Very nicely decorated. The kayaks were a real treat. Kitchen at front door is perfect with large table for whole family. The wrap around porch is great for little kids to run and get out energy. Just a stunning house. Will look to rent again.

It’s a really nice home with great amenities and awesome backyard. Our family felt like we were on a cruise ship thanks to the wonderful view. It’s perfect for sunsets and super close to beaches on the other side so you can catch the sunrise too. Private and nice quiet place for a relaxed vacation. The only thing I would really emphasize more on is the cleanliness. Some places were a bit dusty and musty and some lights were really dim I could barely see. Other than that really really great place. Recommend!

It’s a great smaller house, right on the Sound. The new owners have updated many things in this house. My Wife and I were here for 2 weeks. A very nice, relaxing vacation. They changed TV service providers from Directv to ROKU/Spectrum streaming services. We were not familiar with these and didn’t even find Spectrum live TV until the 2nd week. This was the only major problem for 2 Disabled Retired people. A Television Guide would be VERY helpful! We will probably book this house again.

We were beyond disappointed to see the weekly rate had more than tripled. So it is now out of our reach and sadly this will remain our one and only stay at Reel Living.

The home was extremely comfortable and very clean. The water access was wonderful and we had a lot of fun watching the kite-surfers fly by. We were very happy with the property. The owners have stocked it with everything you might need and it was well organized. They were wonderfully prepared for pets including gates for their wrap around porch. Sunsets from the hot tub were the best.
