We were attending a wedding at the Kee to Bala and this location could not be more perfect. We rented the cottage for the weekend checking in Friday night. Very cozy, well equipped cottage with a beautiful view of the lake. It worked very well for our needs.

Very cute cottage… decor was thoughtful. Clearly not for anyone with small kids or handicapped. Many stairs down to dock and no where to sit once you are down there. It’s a steep walk back up and it is sad that the grounds around the cottage are neglected. One room AC unit in living room But the cool air doesn’t reach the rooms. The rooms all have little fans but ceiling fans are needed to move the air. A little difficulty checking in and the cleaning crew were a little crusty when we arrived 20 minutes early trying to get the lock combo but the owner did call us a little while later and sorted things out. It’s a comfy cottage but lacking and that’s the truth. It was a rainy weekend and no outdoor coverage to even sit outside…2 nights was the right amount.

Loved the whole experience

Stayed at this lovely cottage with my wife and 2 daughters for Father’s Day weekend. Cottage was very clean and the host was amazing. Jessica was so quick to correspond and very helpful. Excellent location too with a sandy beach 1 min drive from the dock! 10/10 would recommend!

We spent some time away as an adult family. Place was nice and cosy, the propane stove kept us warm! Bala is more a summer water sport area, but there's a nice walking tour of the town available online that's all-weather, and trails exist for snow mobiling. Pluses: Pleasant decor, warm gas stove, nice view of river, responsive owner, well equipped kitchen with above average equipment. Minuses: Very close year-round neighbour on one side. Cottage is on the small side for the number it sleeps.

was just what we needed for a short vacation

Spent a quiet family weekend celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. The cottage was nice and toasty upon arrival . A welcoming feature on these cold winter days. Thank you Jessica . The cottage was very close to neighbours but since we weren’t spending time outdoors it wasn’t a big deal. Kitchen was well equipped, hot shower , however it was a small bathroom . I would love to see this place in the fall.

We had a wonderful time at this location with our young family! Jessica was so easy to get a hold of! Would definitely go again and recommend to friends/family!

This is a top notch rental surrounded by beautiful lake and scenery ...highly recommend it .cottage was spotless and laid out well for everyone to enjoy .no surprises and owners show pride in ownership and are real easy to communicate with..

We had a great time at this cottage! It was very clean and the host was great! The cottage is right on the lake, luckily we were able to enjoy all the beauty it had to offer during this time of year. We will Definitely be back!

The cottage was more than we expected with every imaginable equipment available. The kitchen was well supplied with accessories and dishes. The barbeque worked well and it was a good workout to get down to the dock and back up the hill. Felt like we were on an is and as it was so quiet and we saw no neighbours. A perfect spot for visiting all the nearby villages and attractions. We enjoyed some fabulous nearby restaurants, and found some great gift shops. The leaves had well begun to change colour making our drives spectacular. We would definitely visit again.

Jess the owner is quick to respond to any questions you have. The cottage is well appointed and the location is ideal for walking into the town of Bala. The Moon River is scenic and great for canoeing.

Well situated near Bala, Port Carling, Gravenhurst, this is a cosy, quiet place for a getaway. The host, Jessica, was remarkably easy to reach with any questions, and responded immediately.

Perfect location with all amenities - had an awesome time

From booking to checkout, communication with the property manager was quick and easy. The property itself was very easy to get to and was exactly as depicted through the listing. The property was fully equipped, modern, and very clean. It is situated next to a small town which had a grocery store, local restaurants, and a LCBO. The only thing I would suggest is to have the cushions for the patio furniture brought in as they were left out by the previous guests and were soaked through. It took them nearly two days to dry, which in our case was ok since it did rain. All in all, 5 out of 5 from me!

Late winter/early spring is such an odd time of year and returning to Jess’ cottage after a day of messy outdoor fun was absolutely perfect. The fire, the lovely blankets, and a wonderfully appointed cottage made for a terrific week. Jess was immediately available and helpful at arrival. Much thanks 🤗

This is a wonderful cottage. All the furniture is very comfortable, wonderful gas fireplace, great windows that look out over a small bay and Moon River. Extremely well equipped.
