This is the second time we have stayed in this property, we used to live in the area and know it well, this house is perfect for large groups, plenty of space and facilities for all. The house has everything you would need and more! Central location, close to the shops and beach, great if you have kids!

This home was perfect for our family vacation. They had everything we could’ve wanted and more. Lots of space for family time as well as privacy. We have stayed in a lot of VRBO’s and this was my favorite.

We were a family group of 11 with 3 children and had a great week. The house had everything we needed and had lovely sunny front garden. Lots of beach toys for us to use. Great kitchen with huge table for big family meals and 3 bathrooms meant there were no queues. The house was close to the open area called the Burrows which was next to the beach. Tons to do in north Devon. Reasonable choice of restaurants/ cafes in Westwood Ho! I would recommend for big family group.

We had a wonderful time here. The house is large and lovely and just as described. Location is perfect, walkable into the town and to the beach. We were a family of all ages and everyone had a great time. Jumping in the car brings near more activities and beaches to explore. Would recommend.

Plenty of room and well equipped for our mixed generation family group. Garden certainly a bonus, it is suitably fenced for children, including a high gate latch. All conducive to a relaxing stay. We had a fabulous time.

We had an excellent time. Property is large and well equipped, with ample space for the 11 of us. Very comfortable and the garden was great in the good weather. Short walk to the beach meant we could make the most of the different tides (morning swims at high tide, afternoon castles at low). And being able to walk to shops and restaurants as well made things very relaxed. Good communication with host - highly recommend property.

Six adults, three children and a dog stayed here for a week. The house was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It was a short walk to the beach, across the nature reserve - it is excellent for swimming and body boarding and also kite flying. We walked into town on several occasions to eat at the local restaurants and to enjoy ice creams on the prom. We would definitely recommend this property for a great holiday.

This was our second stay at Westward Ho!me. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious and very well equipped. Sam and Mark are wonderful hosts and have listened to comments from other reviews and have made some improvements since last year, including the provision of comfy sun loungers. We love, love, love this property and wish it was our own holiday home- I’m sure we will be back again next year!

An absolutely stunning house with plenty of space, lovely garden to the front. Our only complaint is the garden wasn't secure as our Terrier got into the neighbours garden and dogs weren't allowed on the furniture or upstairs. We found other accommodation due to the garden not being secure, which was totally dog friendly about 11 miles away. Think expectations need to be fully laid out in the description about what is allowed to dogs being in the house. A beautiful house with access to the beach.

1. Property is well suitable for toddlers as there is baby bed in second floor bedroom and child safety gate downstairs. Lots of toys provided to help parents with kids. 2. Plenty of cutlery provided in kitchen. 3. Door handles are old and likely to get broken. They are like antiques so handle carefully. 4. Owner provides loads of towels but try to avoid using it. Likely to find trace of dirt and you may incur charges for damage 5. Soap dishes are glued so please avoid touching and you may incur charges for broken soap dishes 6. After spending the original amount for your stay you are likely to get an additional charges for damages. So be prepared 7. The first floor's shower is fully blocked and can not be used. 8. Owner didn't bother about questions raised and explanation given by me, he straight away charged additional fee.

We had a great week. Loved how close the property was to the beach and Westward Ho! The property was well equipped and any issues we had were well handled by the property owners. Lots of space for our party of 3 families to have their own space. We all really enjoyed our stay and would recommend for future visits.

The property was ideal for a multi family stay with varying ages. Bedrooms were lovely and proximity to beach and shops meant everyone could come and go as they pleased. Owners were exceptionally helpful even cleaning the house themselves when we arrived ! Lots to do in the area. Westward Ho is very much a “surf” beach but nearby Instow provides a perfect beach for those with younger children. Good delicatessen in Appledore. Hartland Quay and RHS Rosemoor well worth a visit.

The house was perfect for 11 of us and 2 dogs. The owners were very prompt in communication and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The appliances were all great (including the coffee machine) and the WiFi was boosted on all floors which was thoughtful. The location was fantastic with access to the beach, golf course and into town. In terms of minor improvements - adding the check in and check out info without having to prompt, more tumbler glasses (we bought a few small ones including some small latte glasses which we left). Thank you for a wonderful stay.

There is loads of space upstairs and downstairs and the house is really well equipped. It’s is located a 5 minute walk from a great beach and there are plenty of restaurants nearby, everything was very busy though. We had a fantastic holiday. A couple of suggestions, some better outside seating would be good, loungers or sofas. Also when it is raining it’s really difficult to dry anything, even a heated airer would be helpful, the dehumidifiers were very slow.

Beautiful and spacious 3 floor holiday home with 5 bedrooms. Large bathroom on each of the second and third floors with a shower room downstairs. Perfect location for walks on the beach and within walking distance of a good selection of pubs and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this property again. 5 stars.

Had a great 4 days at the property. Lots of room for us all. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The photos on the website seriously do not give this property justice, it's awesome! The rooms are huge, clean, comfy beds and everything is of a good quality. Without a doubt I would recommend to anyone. Supplied with everything from high chairs and stairgates to dog bowls and poo bags! Welcome hamper was a lovely surprise. In easy walk of beach, town and burrows for dog walks. Felt like home. The kids loved their own lounge with PS4, DVDs and games and the children's bedroom was beautiful. Nana loved the loved the lazyboy sofas for Nana naps. Lots of beach equipment for all. Had the best time, and hosts were very helpful with all my queries.

We stayed with 3 kids under 5 and our dog. Really well geared up for young families with stair gates, toys in various rooms, baby seats for feeding time, cot already in the property and travel cot available. TVs with access to Netflix and Prime. Lovely twin kids room with a safari theme which our boys loved sleeping in. Perfect house for a young family to turn up to without having to bring everything from home to make it child-friendly. Location is excellent, 1 minute walk from the grassy area leading to the Westward Ho! Beach. Able to walk to the town whilst avoiding roads/traffic. Town has lists to do and great fish and chip shops. Local area also excellent, beaches at Woolacombe and Croyde excellent, tarka cycle path from Fremington to Bideford, Combe Martin Animal and Dinosaur park also a big hit with the kids. All in all a great place to stay, Mark and Sam the hosts were responsive, helpful and easy to deal with - would highly recommend!
