Great place and great location

The pictures do not accurately reflect the unit. Everything is very dated
The beds are very hard, there was a huge dip in the bed in the main room where the springs were completely gone so you are laying right on a hard platform. After calling to report the the issue to MIT house we were strung along for 2 days, they kept telling us they were on their way with a replacement mattress but never showed up. Finally on our last night they replaced it. balcony is super narrow and there is no patio or chairs to sit.

There is little I can add to what has already been said. The location is more and marvelous - half a block from Plaza Major and easy walking distance to most of the prime spots to visit. From the check in to the price to just about everything, it was great. If there is anything of which to be aware, the second bedroom is VERY small for two adults - but, honestly, that's also VERY minor. All of us involved were more than delighted with the unit.

Just days before our stay we were notified that the owner of the unit cancelled all stays. We were shifted (our choice) to a different just off of Plaza de Tirso de Molina. The apartment there was great. Although the building heat seemed to be turned off during the days and back on in the late afternoon and evenings. It was VRBO Property number 10824107ha. 3 bedroom 2 bath. Convenient to metro. I would rate that property 4 out of 5 stars. Only issue was the heat.

grate location
We thought the location of this apartment was great. Since it is so central, it was very easy to come back during the day to take a break from our busy schedule exploring Madrid. We found a great selection of shopping and restaurants in the neighborhood too. The managing agency was very responsive and friendly. We asked for some fans and extra towels and they were delivered promptly. On the morning of our arrival they also were able to let us check in early. But what made our stay not so great is that this apartment does not have an air-conditioning. It was not listed under the amenities, but I just assumed it would have it, my mistake. We stayed there for a few days during month of July, it was 104 deg outside. If I knew about air-conditioning situation, it would have been a deal breaker from the start.
Also, overall this apartment could use some tlc. Everything seemed a bit old. But if you are in Madrid during cooler months, it is a good value for the price.

Ideal location near the Plaza Mayor
We enjoyed staying at the property very much. The location can't be beat as it is right next to the Plaza Mayor. We went to the San Miguel market several times a day for snacks and drinks.
Although the apartment is not extravagant, it is nicely decorated and comfortable.
I would recommend it to anyone who seeks to stay in the heart of Madrid.

Satisfactorio, pero requiere mejoras.
Excelente ubicación. Contras: Nos dieron un solo juego de llaves. El wc no evacúa bien. Es necesario vaciar varias veces la cisterna. Hay que cambiar el teléfono de la ducha, y una cortina de ducha se ve sucia. Falta menaje de cocina (vasos, etc.). Mobiliario mediocre (con un sofá raído). Uno de los dormitorios no tiene ventilación. En general, bien, pero con unas cuantas mejoras el conjunto ganaría mucho.

The unit does not have AC and made it incredibly difficult to offset the heat. I reread the description and there is no mention of AC listed. We lamented that we did not realize this until we were in place as we had 5 more days in Madrid. We chose to relocate to a hotel nearby instead as the situation was not ideal.
If the weather had not played such a large part in our decision we would have stayed in place. We will make sure to read the listing more carefully next time.

The condo was a great size for our family, my husband and I plus our college aged sons. The central location made touring so simple and the condo was well stocked for cooking meals in. Would definitely stay again!

Central and convenient
We loved the situation of this property - very convenient for all we wanted to do. It was clean & had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We didn’t enjoy using the app and found the check in process/information long winded and confusing but once we’d made contact with a human being they made sure that they got us into the property really quickly. Overall, a really good experience :)

The apartment was very clean, comfortable and convenient. We were able to walk easily to Gran Via, Plaza del Sol, and even the Prado Museum. Will definitely stay again!

Overall, it was a great apartment in a centrally located area. Loved the balconies and the cool air and street noises wafting in. However, there were two drawbacks: 1) onerous paperwork to register online with apartment owner, which had to be done twice - once through email and then through a required downloaded app that failed to recognize the travel documents of one traveler even after numerous attempts; and 2) insufficient supplies in the apartment - had to go buy toilet paper (extremely limited supply) and paper towels (not absolutely necessary but have always had it provided at other places). Nonetheless, liked the experience!
