Stayed with 3 teenagers and my wife, we were on the lake most of the time. The dock was perfect to hang out on and the amenities were everything we needed. AC kept house cold, was super clean. Stores and coffee shop were close enough to get groceries and morning needs. Loved our stay! Smith Mountain Lake is awesome!!

We enjoyed the house. There were great views even with the rainy conditions. It is a good space for people to spread out and relax.

Beautiful house, well-situated on lake, extremely clean and incredibly well stocked with kitchenware, books, games, etc, though, oddly, little to no soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. But overall- five stars. A little room for improvement on the management side: - No response to initial email. Had to call and was told that they don't necessarily pay attention to the email that is in their instructions. But over the phone they were helpful. - Would recommend that some instructions be clarified. Those regarding trash were especially confusing, suggesting that "if trash pickup is not running" (how would we know?) we *might* have take garbage "to the road" (we're at the end of a quarter mile long private road- what does that mean) or "to the nearest dump site". (No, the family is not driving around rural Virginia with a car full of garbage looking for a garbage dump open on Sunday.) We're paying thousands of dollars- just let us put the garbage in the trash can. - Also we were emailed two different entry codes and for a while thought we were locked out until we found the email with the second code.

We enjoyed this property to host our family Christmas. My toddler loved the playroom downstairs and the dock. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We would stay again!

The house is in a great spot! You do not feel right on top of anyone. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We did have an issue with Apple Maps. It brought us to Lester Lane, not Roxy Park. It was late at night when we arrived and trying to figure out where we needed to go in the dark. Thankfully when we zoomed out on the map it showed the next road as Roxy Park. So, If anyone else tries to use Apple Maps, heads up. It will take you to Lester Lane, keep going around the sharp turn and then you will come to Roxy Park on the right. We stayed here to visit family in the area. It would be nice to have more seating in the living room area. The space is good, but not many places for adults to sit when you have a group. The outside spaces look great for warm weather. The fridge could have been cleaned better and it would be nice to have a crockpot for the kitchen. It does have many items and it does make it easy to prepare food. The layout is nice and we would stay again.

It was lake life at it's finest! Comfortable and clean. Easy check in. Had all the amenities we needed. We did it all swimming, floating, and boating (we rented a boat from a local marina). Beautiful sunrises as well as sunsets from the deck or dock. Plenty of room for our party if 5. Back in a cove where it was quiet and peaceful.

It is located in a very peaceful area but the deck down by the water really gives you a good vantage point to be entertained by any boats, jet skis, etc. going by. I can't relay how much we truly enjoyed the property. The property manager was so helpful when we had problems checking out on Sunday. The lockbox to put the key in was broken. We called her and she helped us sort out what to do and met us at her office even when she was headed out on her boat with her daughter. We are grateful for such a great stay and would highly recommend this listing. Perfect experience!

6 adults stayed here for a long weekend and we had a great time. The house is clean, nicely decorated and has a beautiful view and dock. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms for us. Like many properties at SML, there are a lot of stairs and a bit of a steep climb to the dock, but it was fun to do it. The basement would be great if you have kids that need space of their own and the views are just amazing. It has one of the most well stocked kitchens I've been too (and we've been to a lot).Also, what we called the "kitchen party lights" are a riot!. We plan on keeping this property as a possible rental for our yearly trip. If you're looking for a beautiful and functional place to stay, you can't go wrong with this property.

House is well furnished, kitchen well supplied, recreational equipment and games available, beds comfortable, outdoor seating, quiet location. All these made us feel welcome and at home. Big thank you to the host. Cons: However the manager of the property was helpful and most of the time timely responded to my messages there were some glitches making communication frustrating at times. This resulted in driving directions sent last minute, us taking all the paper and cleaning products for no reason and having to deal with the cleaning and pest control crews which were not notified about our late departure. This was not a big problem however I see there room for improvement. Otherwise I do recommend the house.
