This is our second time staying at SandPyle. We love the location! It’s super close to the beach (walking distance) and a nice bike ride to tons of shops and restaurants. The hosts are great to work with and we can’t wait to book our next trip! Thank you!

Did you ever want to just get away and take your pets with you? Well we found an oasis at the beach! This property was well appointed, clean, good location and the host made it feel like we were right at home. There were games, bikes, cable/internet, and everything you needed to prepare dinner and desserts. Check in was smooth, the owner responsive and the property super cute. Family comfort for pets & people!!

Great stay and proximity to the beach! Just be careful if you have dogs, there are these prickly plants along the walking route (not by or the property) that can get stuck in the paws. Steven was very prompt at providing information. The kitchen was well appointed. Great experience overall.

Had so much fun last year that we brought my parents along. Clean comfortable and convenient, as last time. Dogs had a great time too.

We love Southern Shores and this cottage was close to everything we love about the beach. The house was perfect for our family of four and had everything we needed!

Our family wanted to have a place to relax, rest and renew. The Sand Pyle was just the ticket. We had a lovely time with pups on the beach, games at night and shared memories. It was fantastic to have the beach wagon, chairs and bikes for use as needed. The house was perfect for our family!

We had a great stay at the SandPyle. Just two adults and our dog, but the house would be very comfortable for a family with kids. Although located on a well traveled road to the front of the house, the inside of the house and backyard especially felt very private which was wonderful. Perfect location for us - truly a 5 minute walk to the beach (even saw several deer on the path one morning!), and was a great base camp for us to explore areas both to the north and south. Would absolutely recommend!

We stayed for over a week and it was perfect for my husband and I and our toddler. The place was stocked much better than most rentals I’ve had, and even had toys and books for the toddler. It’s an easy walk to a gorgeous beach, and not far from all of the restaurants and shops in Duck. We would definitely stay again.

The place was clean and located close to the beach. The house had everything we needed: beach stuff (wagon, chairs, kids sand toys), full kitchen (pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc.). There is an outdoor shower which was really convenient to clean up the kids before going into the house. Definitely a nice stay and we appreciate the hospitality and memories.

Sandpyle had everything we needed for glorious days at the beach! The walk was easy and low-traffic; even our petite 3-year-old handled the 5-min walk with no problem. Being right on Duck Rd, there was a good bit of road noise but the house does sit back from the road so it's not like it's unsafe. We just noticed it because we live on a quiet road in the country and we're not used to traffic! The couch could be a little more comfortable but the beds were nice and everything was very kid- and -friendly, from toys and games to the beach wagon and beach toys. Very clean and less expensive than many other properties!

We all had a great time including our dog. It was a quick walk to the beach which was great and close drive to stores ie grocery and Walmart. House was very well stocked with kitchen items. Nice relaxing quiet place to spend the week.

very nice property, 5ish minute walk to the beach access, many restaurants nearby & a few putt putt golf. loved having washer & dryer for the baby’s laundry & our swimsuit’s/ towels! outdoor shower was also great for keeping most of the sand out of the house

The SandPyle was perfect for our OBX vacation! It's conveniently located on Duck Road right outside a neighborhood within walking and biking distance to the beach. This pet friendly home provided two crates so you don't have to worry about packing your own. The nearby neighborhood was great for dog walking. biking, jogging, etc. Don't let the smaller house size fool you. This house lives big! It was perfect for our party of six. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It was nicely decorated, the kitchen was well stocked, and there was excellent communication with the owners. Highly recommend this gem of a vacation home!

Great place easy to find on main drag. Very busy on weekends. Only noticed cause we were there for two weeks. Owners were great. A little off the beach but short walk. all in all great value.

We enjoyed our stay. The home was a clean and comfortable way to relax after a day at the beach. We used the bikes provided with the rental to go to a local park, out lunch, and to the shops in Duck. We also used the fresh water hose to rinse off sandy feet and paws. The owner is so easy to communicate with and values his renters. All in all it was a good stay.

Perfectly situated for our short visit as our goal was to show our 80 year old mom the majority of the Outer Banks in 3 days! And our rest time at the house was perfect! They have every amenity you could need and plenty of places for everyone to have some quiet time, a nap or read. Thanks for a wonderful stay! We hope to come back for a longer visit.

Very cute beachy house with lots of nice outdoor space! It was clean and well-kept, and stocked with plenty of kitchen supplies and games. There were also nice beach toys, chairs, and bikes for use in the nearby area, and it was only a 5-ish minute walk to the beach!

We came down for the OXB custom Rod & Festival to enter our cars in the shows and cruise. Our family rented and loved the Sandpyle …very cozy and amazing. Thanks for allowing us to be a guest at the sandpyle.

Perfect size beach house for our family with such a great location to downtown Duck and 5 minute walk to beach. The house was clean, cozy and lots of great little hangouts both inside and out! Can’t wait to come back!

Everything was exactly as advertised (and clean!). Great location to all the best that Kitty Hawk and Duck have to offer. The outdoor space is fantastic. The sunroom and decks made for an enjoyable time regardless of weather or time of day. We loved that the decks were gated so we didn’t have to worry about our dog running down the steps. The walk to the beach was super easy, too. Thanks, Steven and Nikki, for sharing the Sandpyle with us! We would definitely recommend it to any and everyone. Couples and small families would have a wonderful time.

We had a great family vacation at this property. It was clean, a close walk to the beach, and the owner was very easy to communicate with.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sandpyle this week. The property is in a great location - quick walk to beach and easy bike ride or drive to downtown. The house was clean and airy. The updated kitchen was great. Our kids enjoyed the downstairs area to watch TV and play bucket ball. The owners were friendly and helpful. We would definitely rent here again. The only thing that made us a little nervous with our 2 dogs was how busy Duck Road was most of the day. However, the outside decks on the house have gates so the dogs were able to roam safely. Definitely recommend this property.

House is very clean and has updated kitchen that is ready to cook in. Nice layout. Enjoyed the bicycles very much on our 10 mile ride. Under the house has a nice hang out area with grill, tv and sofa area. House is easy to find right on Hwy 12 and very convenient to day tripping to see light houses (We saw Hatteras, Currituck and Bodie Island). We tried to see Ocracoke but the ferry service was not running due to blockage. Owners were great to work with and we would stay here again. Some items of note: Home is right on Hwy 12 that is busy and noisy at times. Not in a neighborhood but has sidewalk out front. Master bath shower is small (3x3) Master bed squeaks a lot when moving.

The house was great easy drive to the beach and in the middle of everything beds were actually comfortable as well lol

The property was in excellent condition and the location was great. Only a short walk to the beach and about a 10 minute bike ride to the shops in Duck. My family and I had a great time and Steven was awesome with his communication. I would bring my family back and stay there again.
