Beautiful little cabin on the river. Nothing fancy but doesn’t have to be. The location does it all. Cabin was clean and fully stocked with all necessities. Matt was great with communication as well. Had a wonderful time. Would stay there again.

This was the perfect weekend get-a-way house! My husband, in laws, and 4 year old went for the Polar Express ride at the GSMR. It was close enough to grab dinner and come back to the house to relax as well! All necessary amenities were in the house which was super helpful! Would book here again!

Wonderful location, house and property. We enjoyed the lake with our pup and the close proximity to the Great Smokey Mountains and the Nantahala River. We hope to return to this house!

This was probably the best-equipped cabin that we have ever rented in a quiet, peaceful setting. Fairly easy to get to with quick access to Bryson City. Everything was clean, clean, clean and owner seems to have thought of everything you might need for a laid-back getaway.

Nice place, with great River access

I love a waterfront property and this one was amazing. The master bedroom is large and inviting and all the mattresses were so comfortable. I will certainly try to book this cabin again.

Had a great time, Matt was very responsive with any questions I had and also had some recommendations for places to hike, house as depicted in pictures, beautiful location and listening to the creek was awesome.

This cabin is beautifully decorated and stocked with anything you could think of for your stay. I work for a five star resort and the efforts the owners took to make sure every need was met was impressive. It is in a very quiet and secluded location but close to town. Awesome stay!!

Great location! We loved the seclusion of the location and easy access to the pumpkin patches, local breweries, and other local shops! Very clean and comfortable for our young family of 6! Would highly recommend and would return!

I can’t say enough about this amazing property. It is close to Bryson city ( 15 minutes) for groceries, dining out, gift shops. Great fly shop in town. Staying on Alarka creek was beautiful with the sound of the stream, the hot tub and large covered front porch was perfect for relaxing in the evenings after hikes and fly fishing in the parks. Love how close you are to Nantahala and Great Smokey mountain national park. We came up for our honeymoon and had a a amazing trip, the cabin was clean, comfy and cozy. The owners were so accommodating and answered questions prior to renting. We look forward to coming back and enjoying this cabin again.

Nestled among the trees adjacent to Arkyle Creek, sits a fabulous getaway cabin. Well appointed furnishings and cleanliness are top notch. The upstairs loft has the king bed and private full bath which we loved. It was just the two of us, so the loft being open to the living area was no bother. There’s a bedroom with bunks and full bath on the main level. A covered porch with a nice hot tub outside. There’s a fire ring with adirondack chairs beside the house overlooking the water. The Corps of Engineer’s had already begun draining the lake, so the dock ended up on land, but we weren’t boating, so no big deal. We saw ducks and otters and lots of fish. The scenery was beautiful. There’s also a very large screen TV we loved. The only thing I would add, if I owned the place, are two recliners instead of the love seat. (smile) The furniture was comfortable, I just missed my recliner. Everything you could need is furnished in this rental and I would rent it again if we come back to the area. Nearby Bryson City is a gem to visit. Art galleries, gift shops, fishing, tubing, rafting, great food, and a train depot. Highly recommend this property and the owner.

The place was beautiful and well maintained. It was perfectly sized for our family of 5. We enjoyed the games, playing in the creek, popcorn and movies, hot cocoa, and the hot tub. Very clean! It rained nearly the whole time, but it didn't keep us from enjoying our time there.

This place was so private and very relaxing....we really enjoyed it!

The cabin is remotely located and offers a host of amenities. My husband and I enjoyed the tranquility of the environment and appreciated the extra little touches the owner provided to us: Shampoo and soap in every bathroom, condiments in the fridge, coffee and creamer in the cabinet, and dish soap and laundry detergent in the closet. An excellent experience!

This cottage was easy to access no climbing a mountain to get there. So peaceful. We had family dinners on the picnic table enjoyed bird watching and seeing fish swimming in the water If you should forget something when you arrive it will most likely stocked at the cottage The host has done some very special touches to make it feel like home. Our family enjoyed our stay which went by way to quickly. The cottage is in a good location and close to about activity you would choose to do. Or just stick around an hop in one of the provided kyacks and explore I would definitely recommend and Vrbo description is spot on.

Outstanding! My wife already wants to book for the fall! Spent a nice peaceful week at this wonderful location. Fishing & kayaking were daily occurrences, as well as feeding the ducks. We also saw an otter swim by several times. Rented a pontoon boat for an adventure on the lake, was able to easily load our group & supplies from the dock. House was beautiful and well equipped for our stay. The owner left very detailed instructions/ information which was greatly appreciated. We would recommend this property to anyone.

This was the perfect, relaxing getaway for two couples who found themselves kid free for a few days. The amenities were exceptional! They thought of everything and the setting was gorgeous. Extra fun to find the kayaks, which we used. The hot tub and fire pit were also perfection. Your DVD collection was amazing and we found “staying in” to be the activity of choice. What leave when everything you need to relax is right there? Thanks for everything. We will be back.

Alarka Creek is a great place to start a family adventure. The kids enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and swimming right at the house. The house was great it's everything any family could possibly want for a great getaway in the mountains. Excellent communication with the property manager.
