The home was large enough to accommodate our group of 7 and we were within walking distance of the beach. The check-in process was smooth and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Overall a great property and 8 of us slept here comfortably. Very convenient location as steps from the beach and in close proximity to wild dunes golf courses. Fantasy football draft was a success and the only thing that wasn’t good was the belly button ring that the loser had to wear all weekend. Would def recommend it and would love to go back!

The location of the property to the beach was phenomenal. The house could use a lot of upgrades, especially for the price. The beds were soft, the staff was friendly, pretty much a good stay overall.

There is definitely some wear and tear but that’s to be expected and wasn’t a deal breaker. Beds were comfortable and the house was spacious, perfect for my group of 10. One of the burners on the stove wouldn’t heat up and the coffee pot wasn’t great. It leaked when pouring and took a long time to brew, no pause function on the pot. There were exactly 10 bath towels which was kind of odd, no extras but there was a washer/dryer. The house had a beach cart, wagon, and beach toys which was great! The grill propane tank was empty but a quick trip down to island realty with the empty to replace it for free was easy enough. Overall it was a 4.5 star stay and we throughly enjoyed our stay! We would book again!

If you are a cook, the kitchen will make you a little crazy - the stove is bad but that was our only negative. They also could make the underneath entryway cuter but it is not a big deal at all. It is just a few steps from the beach and it is a very quiet little street. There is a view of the ocean from one balcony. I would definitley recommend this house.

The best part is that every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom plus there is an extra full bathroom off the living room. It was perfect for our family of 9. The views of the ocean are only off the top floor balcony that is accessible from the master and the upstairs Queen bedroom. The view from the lower level balcony is mostly other condos and a little bit of the pool. The kitchen is a little outdated but was nice to find all the spices left in the kitchen. The walk to the beach is easy and quick and with the full 2 car garage with 2 showers getting back to the house and cleaned off was no issue. Would absolutely stay here again, this end of the island is lovely but it is a much farther drive into Chalreston.

We were very happy with the location and size of the home! Unfortunately, those are my only positive comments. This poor home is absolutely falling apart, and because of that it feels dirty. I was told by the rental company that this home was in good condition, so I would be interested to see what a home that isn't in good condition looks like! If you can get an amazing deal on the rental I would stay there, if not look elsewhere!!

Front of rental looked dirty and run-down. minimal supplies in kitchen, flat pillows, one towel set per person (we had to wash them mid week), and cabinets refacing was pealing in all parts of the house. We went out to buy staples, then discovered that there was no skillet or griddle to make our meal. One twin bed didn't have a mattress pad under the sheet. Fridge was dirty, and missed by "inspector" whom we had to wait on. Because we were all long-time friends getting together from all parts of the US, we had a good time. Loved touring Charleston! Place needs some TLC and repairs though

Views from almost every window and deck were of another unit or condo. Yes it is only steps to the beach, one positive. Kitchen was very compact for a large home. However, there were many things that need some TLC inside and out of the home. We were surprised that a home in Wild Dunes would have basic maintenance items unattended to inside. We also were surprised that Island Realty was not interested in returning our calls to inform them that the dryer is rusted inside and left marks on several items of clothing. With all of that said, this is a beautiful house and needs some basic love. Our family has been to the IOP and stayed in Wild Dunes for 10 years. We would return again.

There were zero views of the ocean from the lower deck due to tremendous overgrowth of trees, but the upstairs deck had a nice view. Upon check in, we were give the wrong keys and could not get into the house. Not a good move on the rental company. The wifi never worked which did not bother me, but the teenagers were upset. It was simply a low quality system. Kitchen was well stocked with glasses, silverware etc. The rattan furniture looks cute, but it is not comfortable. Luckily there were a couple of oversized upholstered chairs that everyone fought over. The cabinets are in ill repair, but this is cosmetic. The ac returns need to be dusted in the worst way. Even though there needs to be some definite improvement on a few things, we really enjoyed the 6br/6bath and will definitely rent again.

Reviewer Comments: We rented properties from Wild Dunes on Summer Dunes Lane in 2012 (#3) and 2014 (#1), and from Island Realty in 2013 (#9) and in 2015 (#2). The properties we rented from Island Realty were not kept up and we had maintenance issues with both properties. This was not the case with the properties we rented from Wild Dunes. When we first entered the property there were two full bags of garbage in one of the kitchen cabinets (had not been emptied by the previous renter or the cleaning crew) and the bags were full of gnats. There were many mosquitos in the house. The lamp in one of the downstairs bedrooms did not work. Maintenance fixed it while we were there but fixed it in a way that the lamp shade would not fit on the lamp any more. The shampoo/conditioner/soap rack hanging from the shower pipe in my wife's and my bedroom (one of the two upstairs king bedrooms) was very rusted and disgusting. I bought a new one at Harris Teeter to replace the rusted one and left it at the house. There was so little silverware in the kitchen that we had to buy a big box of plastic knifes, forks and spoons at Harris Teeter for the week. The Internet speed is terrible - worst Internet by far of the four properties we've rented on Summer Dunes Lane.

This year we were smaller in number so the house was perfect in size. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.The house was great and had such a warm cozy feel to it. As usual Island Realty was great.They even had all of the items that we left behind bagged and ready for me to pick up (smile)! Our experience with them is usually in August.I guess they are on top of the game at all times. Oh also, the house was well kept and had all of the necessary supplies and amenities.
