The dinner and the beds

The view (no view of garden or pool only a bldg ), the pool(dirty and small), spa- area is nasty and I didn’t get to use it, no breakfast- (no one to set up until 10am. Gates padlocked so I couldn’t leave as I was starving at 8am), phoned owner ( we had a card) but he never answered- had to have a friend call him from outside the compound-, wifi sucked, working off & on

Wifi very weak and spotty

Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast was ready. They staff mad coffee for us which was excellent. Our dinner the night before was very good as well. I highly recommend eating at their restaurant. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. When we had problems with the TV setting the language, they came in and showed us how. The pool was clean and easy to get in and out of. The grounds and building was very beautiful, with the old world charm of Mexican architecture.

This actually is a like/dislike. The doors are locked at 7pm. Good right? Problem is you have to call the management to have them unlock the door to get back in. An inconvenience for them and you.

The breakfast was excellent and one had a wide variety of foods to choose from. They are very helpful and accommodating for any needs/changes.

No mini bar/fridge in the room. A coffee pot/kettle in the room would have been nice. They did provide a cooler with ice but it didn't help my slice of banana bread I was saving for another day as it ended up in the melting ice. The night before we left there was a conversation between 11:30pm and midnight with another renter right in front of all the rooms which may as well have been in your own room for how loud it was. Quiet time is suppose to be at 10pm, even 11pm would have been nice since we had to get up early the next day.

they close the gate at night so if you come late its hard to come in and the stuff are not friendly special the lady in from desk

Everything about the place showed quality. Very comforting music played in the background in the courtyard which was very calming.

Breakfast wasn't served until 9am - that's too late especially when you have a full day of activities. I had to ask if coffee could be ready by 8 at least to help waking up. Owner stated he would consider as a future change.

The owner, ever present and helpful, has created a restful oasis in a great location in Ajijic. The rooms are spacious: comfortable king-sized beds, nice seating areas inside the room and outside poolside. Thoughtful decor, the commissioned art work in our room was exquisite. Food was good, breakfast included, dinner, nice menu, well prepared. Spa services were available, reasonable prices. It was a great place for a birthday getaway.

The owners and staff were very friendly and responsive. I loved the historical building. It was like living in a Spanish colonial hacienda. I felt very much at home there.

Untrained staff Breakfast not avaiable until 9 The owner is undertaking a large rebuilding project but he needs to better train staff particularly housekeeping

The art exhibit was excellent. Staff were friendly. Meals were delicious. Bed and pillow were very comfortable.

Shower was weak and water lukewarm. But then the bathtub leaked like a sieve!

Usual Latin courtesy, pool is fantastic. Pretty nice art collection.

Furniture falling apart, place is not really open yet. Upholstery stinks, Andrea is going in now to 'sanitize'. She is sweet and super concerned with my stay. Feel they will pull it together quickly.

Quiet and relaxing environment. Breakfast was super. Cappuccinos good! Sweet staff. Parking! Spacious rooms! Design of bathroom is fantastic. Overall layout of place is relaxing. Grateful to have stayed there.

Extremely hard bed. A cushioned topper would fix this easy! 😀 Cheap room towels. Massage tables are uncomfortable can easily be upgraded with 2 from Costco. These would be the greatest suggestion we would give to the owner. Overall the place has an inviting and lovely feel. So much love poured into this place.

La alberca a temperatura perfecta!

The property is centrally located in Ajijic and is comfortable and welcoming. The owner bends over backyard to ensure your stay is satisfactory.

This is a brand new hotel and I liked the vision of the owner Oscar. He is an architect, and although it is still work in progress, the place has some local history and artistic character. The rooms are big and have nice decor. The small salt water pool is good to relax in.
