Just returned home from 3 nights at Tyson House. I thought the pictures online looked inviting, but they do not even do this wonderful home Justice! This house is not just wonderful, the decor is amazing! The location couldn’t be better and Cedar Key is just fun! Would actually like to own this little gem! This is well located. Come in on the main route, take a quick right-hand turn and there it is on the left! Quick walk from a breakfast spot, Dock Street, the marina, etc.

Always easy and we love the location. Golf cart was out for repair but we were able to get one down the road. Love the covered porch now! I’d like to buy the old palm tree sitting on the back porch the past two times I’ve been there. It need repaired and I could restore it! Please let me know.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was very clean and convenient. Short distant walks to stores, restaurants, and other entertainment locations. Fishing was great and we will definitely come back to Cedar Key.

Great location and a beautiful little property. Only issue was the lack of cleanliness and proper pest control. I'm a Floridan, born and raised, so palmetto bugs don't really bother me but this was excessive. The back bathroom and kitchen had literal swarms of them. We disposed of 15 in the first 2 hours of arrival and then another 6 the following day. Luckily there was a can of indoor raid under the sink we were able to use and that helped. I informed the property manager immediately and then had the pest control company respray as soon as we left so hopefully the next guest won't have to deal with it. Fortunately, we spent most of the day on the water or around town but the bugs and general lack of cleanliness made it very difficult to want to stay in the property. We won't stay at this specific property again but we will use this property manager for our next trip because of their quick response and service in making things right.

Second time renting this house. Another great weekend in Cedar Key.

This was one of the most beautifully decorated properties we have ever stayed in. It was very spacious and had plenty of room for all of us when we had the rest of our family over to eat with us. The kitchen was well stocked and the appliances were new and upgraded. We were right on the main street of town so it was easy to walk everywhere. We also brought our bikes which we could keep up on the back porch. There was a nice grill and a covering over the back porch which was very nice to have in the seating area. There were no see'ums in the mornings and evenings so suggest bug spray if you want to sit outside. There were plenty of towels and they were of a nice quality as was the bedding. We totally enjoyed our stay and appreciated the lovely cottage.

During the middle of the week Cedar Key is quiet and relaxing. Then on weekends it comes alive with tourist, bikers, liberals, conservatives and baby boomers. Culturally diverse!

Our stay here was everything we could have hoped for. What a beautiful home. Very clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of seating. Very handy that golf cart for rent is already on site! Very nice. Walking distance to town was great. It was a wonderful place to stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this listing even though the weather didn't cooperate with us for exploring Cedar Key. The house was immaculate. The property manager was communicative and flexible to any needed changes. There was so many kitchen supplies and appliances were high scale and new. The only suggestion I might have (because we ended up having to stay inside all weekend) is to get a smart TV so renters can stream Netflix and etc.

We loved our stay - the house is steps to the center of town. Beautiful historic home with a well furnished kitchen.

Wonderful place. Wish we knew the golf cart was added for a small fee before reserving. Would have paid for it from start. Fish smell really bad in the garbage disposal but after some comet and a bit of scrubbing we got past that! We really did love it. Perfect location.

Absolutely love the common areas of the house. Knowing we had a one year old in the group I kind of expected the wine glasses to be out of reach but we easily corrected that. The house was dusty the front window is cracked there were 2 broken glasses in the cabinet we finally found wash clothes in the dryer with placemats and extra towels and the golf carts breaks we’re almost none existent. All and all it was good. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. The location is in the middle of everything which is good and bad. Easy walking distance to most things but lots of noise Saturday night when the bars closed. The beds are okay but the layout could be greatly improved with a curtain or divider of some sort between the middle and small bedroom.

Nicely kept home in a great location if you like Cedar Key. Good places to eat and places to shop all within easy walking distance.

Two dear friends have been visiting Cedar Key for close to 35 years, and we were finally able to coordinate a visit for the four of us to soe.d a few days there together. What a dreamy vacation! The Tyson House was just what we needed - beautiful, quiet, historic, comfortable, and within a quick walk (or cart ride) to everything we could want. The whole visit couldn't have been easier, friendlier or more relaxing! We will definitely be returning, and will be delighted to work with McCormick again on our next trip down to CK. Thank you!
